XII : The Dolphins

Till the End387 words~2 min read

I had reached a great depth—deep enough to launch a powerful attack.

Just as I was about to charge, a pod of dolphins blocked my way, bumping into me with force.

“You’re doomed if you do this!” said one of the dolphins in a stern voice. “You haven’t learned how to use that form yet.”

“How do you even know who I am?” I asked, confused.

“Marco sent us. He asked us to watch over you,” the dolphin replied.

As they spoke, the other Great White began to swim away, slowly disappearing into the depths.

“How do I use the powers of the Great White?” I asked.

The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

“What? He didn’t tell you?” another dolphin gasped. “Oh wow… You need to go to the Adriatic Sea!”

“Yes, yes! That’s where you must go!” chimed in a third dolphin with a funny voice, almost like it was speaking through its nose.

“Seriously, how could Marco forget that!” one added, flapping its fins in disbelief.

“And who’s she? How do I get to the Adriatic?” I asked, still a bit overwhelmed.

“Swimming,” one said plainly.

“Yep. Just keep swimming,” said another, grinning.

“But I don’t know how to get there…”

“Alright, alright, we’ll send Sheila—the pink dolphin.”

“Yeah! Sheila knows everything,” one of them said, nodding vigorously.

“She’ll take you to the Lady of the Sea. That’s where you’ll learn.”

“In one week, Sheila will come for you.”

They were driving me crazy! Talking all over each other—but they were funny, I had to admit that.

“Go back and prepare for the journey,” said the stern one again.

On the way back to the hut, I knew what I had to do—I had to bring my sister with me. She had powers too now. She needed to learn how to use them, just like me.

When I got back, I told her everything. We spent hours poring over maps, planning possible routes, estimating risks.

“You saw this, right? There are several Mediterranean Great Whites in that area. Some even swim as far as Italy!” she pointed out.

“We’ll have to be careful,” I nodded. “We can’t let them detect us. The pink dolphin’s help will be crucial.”

The week passed quickly. And then—Sheila arrived.
