Abhijeet's POV
Her tears shattered me. My princess had suffered so much because of me. The guilt gnawed at my soul. I would make them pay for itâevery single one of themâbut first, I needed her forgiveness. Not wantedâneeded. It was my lifeline now. Without it, I wouldnât be able to live.
I let her cry, allowing her to release the weight of her pain. Minutes passed, and as her tears finally subsided, I gently cupped her face, pulling her closer yet giving her space.
"Siya, please⦠will you give me one chance? Just one, please?" My voice trembled, my hope barely holding on, fraying with each passing second.
She stayed silent, her gaze distant, as if lost in deep thought. The world around us seemed to hold its breath.
âMummaaaaa! See thââ
Aaryaâs voice suddenly broke the moment. She ran into the room, her words halting when she saw us sitting on the floor.
Siya instantly got up, moving toward Aarya.
"Mumma, hum vapas kab jayenge?" Aaryaâs innocent question hit me like a knife to the chest. The thought of Siya leaving, of her taking Aarya away, made my heart ache unbearably.
Siya paused, thinking for a moment, then replied firmly, "We are not going anywhere, Aarya. We will live here."
Her words hit me like a dreamâunreal, yet so desperately real. Did this mean she forgave me?
"But itâs not our home, Mumma," Aarya said, her confusion pulling me from my thoughts.
How could she think that? This entire town belonged to Siyaânot just the town, but the whole state. She is Rani Sa. Of course, Aarya wouldnât know that yet. My foolishness!
"This is your home," Siya replied softly.
"Huh?" Aarya looked at her, her tiny face still puzzled.
"Ye aapke baba sa hai ," Siya added, turning to me with a gentle, meaningful look.
Her words left me breathless. Did she mean⦠I am baba now? My daughter?
"Baba Sa?" Aarya repeated, her voice uncertain but curious.
âYes, Aarya,â Siya affirmed, and before I could react, Aarya ran toward me. She leapt into my arms, and I caught her instinctively, holding her close.
"You⦠youâre my Baba Sa?" she asked, her wide eyes filled with wonder.
I nodded, tears spilling from my eyes. I had a daughter. My daughter.
Suddenly, Aarya wrapped her tiny arms around my neck, burying her face in my shoulder. I felt my shirt dampen, and it hit meâshe was crying.
"Why? Whatâs wrong, baby? Did I do something? Did Baba Sa hurt you? Iâm sorry. Iâm so sorry," I said hurriedly, panic rising.
Siya chuckled softly, muttering something under her breath.
"Baba, hume aapse⦠k-kuch sawal karne hain," Aarya said between sniffles, her small voice breaking.
"Ji, Little Princess, puchiye. Baba har prashn ka jawab denge," I said with all the sincerity I could muster.
But just as she was about to speak, she glanced at Siya. Siya gestured something to her, a silent reassurance, and Aarya hugged me again tightly.
"Hume koi prashn nahi karna, Baba Sa," she whispered.
I looked at Siya, confused, but she gestured that everything was fine. I nodded, holding my daughter close, my heart overflowing with a newfound sense of completeness.
---
After a few minutes, Aarya tapped on my shoulder. I turned to look at her, and she gestured for me to lean closer. I lowered my ear to her, curious.
âBaba sa, kya aapki aur Mumma ki shaadi ho gayi hai?â she asked with wide, curious eyes.
I looked at her with mock suspicion, trying to suppress a smile. âJi haan, little princess. Aapki Mumma aur meri shaadi toh pehle hi ho gayi hai,â I replied.
To my surprise, her face fell, her excitement fading into disappointment.
âWhat happened, baby doll?â I asked gently, picking her up and settling her on my lap as I sat on the bed.
âI thought I could see your marriage,â she whispered, her voice soft and filled with longing.
I frowned thoughtfully for a moment, then an idea struck me. âHmm, so thatâs the problem? Well, I have a plan!â
Her sad eyes brightened instantly. âReally? What is it, Baba?â
I grinned. âYour Mumma and Baba sa will get married again!â
Her face lit up like a firework, and she screamed with joy, jumping off my lap and twirling around. âReally? REALLY?â
I chuckled, nodding. âBut Aaru baby, thereâs one problem,â I said, putting on a fake sad face.
Her dancing stopped as she frowned. âKya problem, Baba?â
âHow will I convince your Mumma?â I asked, scratching my head dramatically.
She tilted her head, giving me a look of pure exasperation. âOfho Baba, aap bhi na, budhu ho!â
I raised an eyebrow at her theatrics. âAccha ji? Toh aap mujhe samjhaaiye, kaise karoon?â
âBaba, you have to propose to Mumma like heroes do in movies!â she said, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.
I laughed, shaking my head. âBaby, that plan wonât work.â
âHuh? Kyuuuuu?â she asked, her brows furrowed in confusion.
âKyunki aapki Mumma itni aasani se nahi maanengi,â I said, sighing dramatically.
She sat quietly for a moment, tapping her chin as if deep in thought. Before she could reply, Siyaâs voice interrupted us.
âKya baatein ho rahi hain dono mein?â Siya asked, walking into the room with a curious look.
âWoh⦠woh⦠humâ¦â I stuttered, trying to come up with something.
âOho, Mumma! Main apne Baba se baat bhi nahi kar sakti kya?â Aarya said instantly, crossing her little arms and pouting.
Siya blinked, caught off guard by her daughterâs sass. Before she could respond, I quickly interjected.
âSiya, aap jaake ready ho jaaiye. Aaj shaam ko jashn hoga, aapki wapas aane ki khushi mein,â I said with a smile.
âNahi, abhi mujhe aaram karna hai,â Siya replied, brushing past me as she walked toward our bedroom.
I shook my head, chuckling.
âBaba, kya main aapki madad karoon Mumma ko manane mein?â Aarya asked, her eyes sparkling with determination.
âAap kar lengi, Rajkumari?â I teased, raising an eyebrow.
âHaan Baba, kar loongi!â she replied confidently, puffing up her tiny chest.
âHmmm⦠toh theek hai,â I said, leaning in to plant a kiss on her nose.
Siyaâs POV
I stepped into our room, and as soon as I did, a flood of memories washed over me. Each corner of the space seemed to echo with fragments of the pastâwhispers of laughter, stolen glances, and bittersweet moments that refused to fade.
I glanced around, my eyes settling on every detail. Nothing had changed. Everything was in its place, exactly as I had left it. My belongings, untouched, sat waiting like a time capsule of a life I once lived. A weak smile played on my lips, bittersweet and fragile, as I let out a shaky breath and sat on the bed.
The memories wrapped around me, uninvited but relentless. I closed my eyes and let them take over.
Flashback to a Few Moments Ago
âSiya, please⦠give me one chance. Please,â Abhi said, his voice trembling with sincerity.
I looked into his eyes, searching, and what I found left me breathless. There was regretâraw and unfilteredâfor things he hadnât even done. But beyond that, there was love. A love so deep, so genuine, that it seemed to bridge the gap between us in an instant.
If it had been anyone else, I wouldnât have forgiven them. But this was Abhi. My Abhi. The man I had loved with every fiber of my being. He wasnât just a part of my lifeâhe had been my savior, my anchor. He had never left me, even when the world had.
People say women are crazy in love, and maybe theyâre right. Because here I was, madly in love with a man I had tried so hard to forget. Over time, I had built walls around my heart, protecting myself from the pain of broken promises and unfulfilled dreams.
But today, those walls crumbled.
When he confessed his love for meâwhen he admitted that he saw past my scars and loved me for my soul, not my bodyâit broke me in the best way possible. The truth in his eyes shattered the barriers I had built. Because eyes never lie, and his told me everything I needed to know.
I fell for him all over again. But this time, I promised myself I would be careful.
Present
I sighed, running my fingers over the bedsheet absentmindedly. Doubt lingered at the edge of my mind, but deep down, I knew. I didnât regret my decision. Not even a little. Because I loved him. And for me, that was enough.
The way he accepted Aarya without hesitationâit left me speechless. He didnât ask questions, didnât judge me, didnât demand answers. He simply embraced her, like she had been his daughter all along.
The bond I saw between them was nothing short of extraordinary. Aarya had been yearning for this love, a love she had never known. And I understood her yearning because I had felt the same. I had craved the warmth of a fatherâs love, and when I never received it, a part of me broke.
That was another reason I forgave Abhi. Because Aarya deserved a father. And I trusted himâtrusted that he would give her the love I had always dreamed of. I believed he could be the father I had wished for, the one I knew she deserved.
As the thought crossed my mind, a tear slipped down my cheek. I wiped it away quickly, unwilling to let my emotions take over completely. But as I sat there, I felt lighter, as if a burden had been lifted.
Love had brought me here. And love, I realized, was strong enough to keep me

Author's POV
The night stretched on, heavy with silence. Neither Siya nor Abhi could sleep. Both were lost in their thoughtsâAbhi, desperate to know what had happened to Siya during their time apart, and Siya, questioning why Abhi hadnât once doubted her.
While Siya stayed in the room, staring at the walls that held fragments of their past, Abhi was in the garden, pacing restlessly. He had just put Aarya to bed in Abhimaan's room, but his mind was consumed by the storm of unanswered questions.
Siya, unaware of his turmoil, stepped onto the balcony. The moonlight bathed her in a serene glow, offering her a moment of peace amidst her chaos. She stared at the moon, her silent confidant, letting the stillness comfort her.
In the garden, Abhi looked up. His eyes landed on his moonâhis Siya. She was oblivious to his gaze, but he couldnât tear his eyes away. For a few moments, he just watched her, his heart aching for the woman who had endured so much.
Siya closed her eyes, letting memories flood her mind. Tears slipped down her cheeks, unnoticed by her. But from below, Abhi saw them. He reached out instinctively, as though he could catch them even from a distance. As he stared at the invisible pain reflected in those tears, he made a silent vow: They will pay for what they did to my princess.
---
Past Midnight
Abhi knocked on the door softly. Siya, still curled up on the bed, hummed in acknowledgment.
As he stepped in, his heart clenched at the sight of her. She was sitting with her knees pulled to her chest, her face turned away.
Hearing his footsteps near, Siya looked up and instantly asked, âAarya kaha hai?â
âSheâs in Abhimaanâs room,â Abhi replied gently.
Siya nodded and rested her head back on her knees, her silence louder than words.
Abhi hesitated before sitting beside her. He reached out, squeezing her hand gently. âSiya⦠are you still mad at me?â
She shook her head instantly. âNo, Abhi. Iâm not mad at you.â Her voice was soft, almost fragile.
âActually⦠everything happened so suddenly that my mind couldnât process it,â she added, a sad chuckle escaping her lips.
Abhi looked at her, his heart aching as tears welled in her eyes. He couldnât bear it, but he stayed silent, waiting for her. Siya leaned her head on his shoulder, and he instinctively wrapped an arm around her, pulling her closer.
After a few minutes of heavy silence, Siya whispered, âWhy, Abhi? Why didnât you question my character?â
Her voice wavered, and Abhi stiffened. He knew the weight of her question.
âHow can you even think that, Siya?â he replied softly, his voice steady yet emotional. âHow can you believe that Iâd ever question your character? Youâre so pure, Siya. So pure for this world. Iâm the demon, and youâre my angel. How could I doubt the person who rules my heart? Youâre the purest, Siya.â
Her chin quivered as she tried to hold back her tears, but Abhi noticed everything.
She chuckled bitterly, shaking her head. âPure? Me? No, Abhi⦠Iâm not pure. Iâm dirty⦠so dirty. I was pure once, but not anymore.â
Abhi cupped her face, his hands firm yet tender. âNo, Siya. Youâre wrong. My princess is the purest soul ever. Nothing can change that.â
Those words broke her. Siya finally let the tears fall, her body trembling as sobs wracked her. She turned away, trying to hide, but Abhi gently held her chin and made her face him.
âDonât hold back, Siya,â he whispered. âBecause Iâm here now. Iâll hold you. Always.â
And that was all she needed. Siya threw her arms around him, burying her face in his chest as she sobbed uncontrollably.
---
For Abhi, this was the most heartbreaking moment. Watching the woman he loved break like this shattered him into pieces. But he held her tighter, silently vowing to heal her no matter what.
Through her sobs, Siya began to speak.
âWhy, Abhi? Why is it always me? From the moment I was born, I was a curse to my mother. A daughter meant a curse in her world. She already suffered so much⦠and then I was born to make it worse. Do you know what itâs like to be the unwanted child of a man who didnât love her, who just used her? He abused her, forced himself on her, and I was the result of that. I was the fruit of her suffering.â
Her voice cracked, but she continued. âBut my mother never showed it. She loved me. She protected me. My father, though? He hated me. And I, like a fool, craved his love. What can you expect from a child, Abhi? I didnât know better. I just wanted a complete family. And I hate myself for wanting that⦠for craving something I knew I couldnât have.â
Her tears flowed freely now, and Abhiâs heart ached with every word. He continued to stroke her back, his touch grounding her as she unraveled.
âHe tried to sell me, Abhi. For money. His own daughter⦠just for some money. Do you know how that feels?â she choked out, her sobs intensifying.
Abhi tightened his hold on her, his jaw clenched in silent rage.
âThen⦠he tried to marry me off. To some old man. Again, for money. I thought Iâd break completely, but I held myself together. I told myself Iâd survive. And then you came.â
Her voice softened, filled with a faint glimmer of warmth amidst the pain. âYou were like sunlight, Abhi. A hope in my darkness. My black-and-white world turned to color because of you. You brought my smile back. I didnât even realize when I fell for youâ¦â
Her voice broke again. âAnd just when I was about to tell you, life betrayed me again. Everything fell apart.â
Siyaâs voice grew steadier as her tears dried, but her eyes stared blankly, lost in the memories.
âThen they sold me again. This time, they succeeded. They dragged me away, Abhi. I was injured, broken⦠but I ran. I ran until I heard your voice. On a television. You said I was nothing to you. That you wanted to marry Shravani. And that⦠that destroyed me.â
Her words faltered, her voice trembling again. âI misunderstood you. Iâm sorry. But, Abhi, what else could I have done? I was drowning. And then they caught me againâ¦â
Her voice trailed off, her blank stare now filled with the haunting past
Siya broke down again, her voice trembling as she forced herself to speak.
âThey⦠they brought me there, Abhi⦠to that place. And then⦠they⦠they tried to⦠touch me. I was going to getâ¦â
Her words faltered, and her sobs took over. She buried her face in her hands, unable to continue.
That much was enough for Abhi. His fists clenched as rage surged through him, but he forced himself to stay calm for her sake.
âYou donât need to recall everything, my love,â Abhi whispered, his voice soft and soothing as he gently caressed her head. âNot anymore.â
Siya shook her head against his chest, her voice muffled but determined. âBut, Abhi⦠I was your Siya. I couldnât let them break me. I fought⦠I fought for myself. For those girls trapped with me. I couldnât save everyone, but I fought.â
Her sobs grew louder, and she clutched his shirt as if anchoring herself to him. The pain in her voice was unbearable, each word laced with the weight of the horrors she had endured.
âAnd just when I thought I could escape, I found Aarya⦠abandoned there. She was so small, Abhi. So scared. I couldnât leave her. I saved her,â she finished, her voice breaking completely as she hugged him tighter.
Abhi held her close, his arms wrapped protectively around her trembling frame. His heart shattered into a million pieces hearing her story, but he knew he couldnât let her see his pain. Not now. She needed his strength.
âI knew it,â he whispered, pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead. âI knew my Siya was brave. Thatâs why youâre a queen, Siya. Because even in the darkest of times, you think of others before yourself. You fought not just for yourself but for Aarya and those girls. Youâre incredible, Siya. You have the heart of an angel.â
Siyaâs sobs softened slightly at his words, but the tears kept falling. Abhi lifted her face gently, wiping away her tears with his thumbs as he looked into her eyes.
âAnd I am so lucky to have you,â he continued, his voice filled with unwavering love. âI love you, Siya. Do you hear me? Youâre not dirty. You never were, and you never will be. Please, donât ever say that again. It breaks my heart every time I hear you speak of yourself that way.â
Siyaâs lips trembled, her eyes searching his for the truth in his words.
Abhi leaned in, pressing his forehead to hers as he whispered, âTrust me this time, Siya. Iâll be by your side forever. I wonât leave youânot even for a second. I promise. So donât ever call yourself a curse. You are my blessing, Siya. My everything.â
She broke down again, but this time it wasnât just painâit was relief. She clung to him like he was her lifeline, sobbing into his chest as he held her even tighter, silently vowing to protect her from every shadow of her past.
The moonlight streamed into the room, casting a soft glow around them as Abhi continued to hold her, silently promising to rebuild her world, piece by piece, with her by his side.
