Chapter 22

Chaeyoung slumps on the chair after walking all day around the studio. She took pictures of what seems interesting to her but mostly it was Mina's face.

"What do you want to eat?" Mina asked while sitting in front of her. They're now in a restaurant that Mina recommended.

"you can order for me" She said. Mina just nodded and called the waiter. Chaeyoung waits while checking the photos she took for the day. She can't help but to smile from the picture of the woman in front of her. Specially, on the wand one. She look so cute.

"What are you laughing about?" Mina asked after ordering their dinner.

"I just saw the most beautiful picture." She smiled still looking at the camera.

"What picture?"

"Your picture" She answered with all honesty and smiles.

"Again you are flirting. What's with you these days? I thought you have a lover?" She eyed her as if she's accusing  her for commiting a crime.

"Well technically I don't because she can't remember me so yeah.. I'm a free woman." Chaeyoung patted her chest and smiled while nodding.

"So you are saying?"

"That Chaengie is free to flirt with Minari" She spout in aegyo. The tone irks Mina. Her brows instantly raised.

"Can't you say that without using that voice?" She complained.

"Wae does Mina hates it?" She continued doing so.

"It's annoying." She deadpan. Chaeyoung just giggled on her reply.

"Aish so honest aren't you?" She chuckled and the food is finally served. Mina stared at her.

"You still haven't explained to me what is happening in my heart." They ignore the food placed on their table.

"That is something I can't explain since it is your feelings. You will soon realize it yourself." She smiled hoping for the girl to understand.

"So what's the point of making you live longer if you can't tell me yourself?" She asked with a condemning look.

"I will make you realize. The point is you can't kill me and that is a fact you can't quite comprehend right? You heart reacted as if she knows me." Chaeyoung said as if it was the simplest thing to explain.

"How- yeah it is." She sigh in surrender. "I supposed not to feel any affections anymore." She said while looking at her plain blank expression. This is the real Mina huh. This time her behavior matches her eyes.

"Why can't you feel affection?" Chaeyoung curiously asked.

"It's something I can't tell you." She refused to say anything about her past.

"What harm is it to tell a dying girl?" Chaeyoung joked but Mina didn't laugh.

"But you're still alive." She retorts.

"So you will tell me when I'm dead? woah" Chaeyoung snorted in disbelief. Well she kinda predicted it from a professional assassin like Mina.

"You know there is something more that I am curious about." Mina stated. Chaeyoung seems to know what she's going to ask this time.

"Okay ask it out before the food will get cold."

"Why are you so composed?" Her eyes full of curiosity.

"You mean what?" She feign innocence as if she doesn't know what the girl is talking about.

"Don't play dumb with me cub. How can you stay so calm knowing that I can kill you anytime?" She continued to ask. Oh yeah I'm really an oddball

"I don't know really. To be honest I have a secret myself but just like you I want to keep it. Sometimes I wonder why such circumstances happens in our life maybe the fact that I am comfortable enough to die in your hands is one of that rarity." She smiled ending her speech.

"People call you smart, is being unafraid of death one of that?" Mina leaned on her hand. Her curiosity about the girl growing every seconds. Mina is smart enough to know there is something amiss about her target.

"Rather than calling it unafraid, isn't it more appropriate to call as debt?" She said coyly.

"If debt are from those attacks that threatened your life which are mainly caused by me then you are not indebting anything." Mina reasoned. Indeed all this time it was her who was chased after.

"Very well but you have something that is mine. That something is enough for me to give my life." Chaeyoung smiles bitterly.

"What is it?"

"It is something you have that you has yet to realize." Chaeyoung spoke in hints.

"Here you go speaking in riddles again." Mina sigh.

"Don't you like it?  It's challenging." Chayeoung laughed.

"Whatever you say let's just eat the food will get cold." Mina pick up the chopsticks.

"Totally agreed."

I myself don't know that I am capable of laying my life for you. Before telling you everything, I need to remember everything.

"Unnie look it is reacting." Tzuyu nudge the girl who was out of herself. Jihyo immediately sat up and look around them. A suspicious man in a hoodie goes out from the inn. It's already two days of them waiting for these guys.

"Let's follow?" Tzuyu asked. Jihyo has her eyes glowing in blue.

"No we won't it is a trap... wait- fuck Sana and Dahyun will be in trouble." Her eyes turns back to normal.

"What did you see?"

"There will be an ambush. Contact Dahyun Immediately!"

"Shit!-" Yoda reached for her phone and started calling Dahyun. "Fuck it's out of coverage."

"Go! let's leave this place." She commanded and Tzuyu drove off. Jihyo started calling the other two. Good thing that Nayeon answered immediately.

"Hello captain?-"

"We need back up in Dahyun's location immediately." She heard shuffling from the other line. Momo's voice came asking what is happening. Nayeon told her the emergency.

"We're on our way." She replied.

"Good" Jihyo ended the call.

"What exactly is happening?" Tzuyu asked while still has her focus on the road. She's driving past the speed limit.

"There are two other girls who will come to the scene where Sana is in." She hissed.

"How? Didn't you say it's safe as long as no one will notice?" she rebuked.

"No this is different. Someone on their side seems to see glances of the future too." Jihyo gritted her teeth in anxious. She can't help but worry. Sure, Sana can protect herself but Dahyun can't.

Stay safe Sana.. Dubu..

(Second Day- Last Day)

Chaeyoung is having the time of her life taking pictures of the place. She might want to reject it at first but she can't deny her passion in photography.

"You seem really fond of taking photos." Mina commented while they're walking side by side.

"Well when I was a kid my grandmother always tells me 'The best thing about a picture is that it never changes, even when the people in it do.' I kinda brought that with me when I grown up." She adorably smiled admiring her new photo.

"Then why do you look so sad while telling that story?" Mina noticed the hint of sadness in those doe eyes.

"You notice huh." She smirked. "Well I regret something." She confessed, letting the camera down on her chest, dangling on it's cord.

"What it may be?"

"The fact that I never have a photo of her." She said.

"Who your ex?"

Chaeyoung giggled to the choice of words.

"Yeah.. I don't have the photo where she didn't change. Only the woman who looks so the same but doesn't have any recollection of me." She snorts as if she detest that someone.

"So you hate her?"

"Ani. Minari I need you to know that longing is different from hate. I just missed her but never have I hate her. Hate is a strong word." Chaeyoung point out her feelings. Mina nodded like an obedient child.

"What does it felt like?" She asked.

"What?"

"The feeling of missing someone."

Chaeyoung breaks into a smile seeing the girl so curious about her.

"It felt terrible actually. It's the opposite of butterflies in the stomach." She replied with all honesty.

"Butterflies in the stomach?" She asked again. Aigoo, why do I felt like I am talking to kid now.

"Yes, it is something you feel here." She pointed at her tummy. "A very ticklish feeling like you are constipated but in a good way." She explained. Mina's eyes flicker interest. It's just how she has been feeling with the girl.

"Why?" She asked, tilting her head in confusion.

"Hmm It actually happens when you are with someone you like or when you are in love." She explained again. Mina surely asked many things today.

Chaeyoung suddenly felt thirsty and opens her water bottle to drink when Mina spat out a very striking comment.

"Hmm I think I like you." Mina said it with a very serious face.

Chaeyoung who's taken off guard coughs from the water she's drinking. She eventually spat it on the girl's face.

Why is she so full of surprises???!

Sana is on her way to enter the room when Dahyun stopped her.

"Babe come back! immediately! there are one upcoming threat." Dahyun spoke in the mic. Sana heard it clearly. Fuck.

"She is heading on your way turn right." Dahyun is maneuvering her escape route. She had the monitor to guide the girl where to go.

"Where now?"

"Turn-"

"Aren't you too open to be left alone?" A woman behind Dahyun spoke. Dahyun slowly turned around to see Akira in her famous red leather.

"Dahyun?!" Sana called from the speaker. Her voice full of worry. She probably heard the other girl speak up.

"Unnie promise me to escape no matter what. Tofu will guide you out. Don't come here." Her voice commanding.

"What the hell are you saying?! I am com-" Sana was cutted off. Dahyun pushed the emergency button. The computer automatically delete the important files and shut down.

"Hohoho wise choice." Akira laughed. Dahyun calmly opened another candy and put it on her mouth. Her eyes glows in intense blue.

"What do you want?" She asked with all seriousness. Akira chuckled feeling the unwelcomed atmosphere.

"I need you to come with me." Her irises turns into a blood color.

"You know I'm not gonna do that easily." She spoke as if betting everything she have in this match. Akira smirked in her braveness.

"You are choosing the hard way Ms. Kim." Akira let go of her killing intent. Dahyun shivers on the receiving end. But she can't let it show. She must hold up until back up comes.

"Let's see what you prepared."

Dahyun prayed for a short moment.. Let Sana live.
