Chapter 7

Mina woke up in middle of the night. She stared at the ceiling for a good seconds still half awake. The room is different from her room in their apartment. The darkness is different, technically it is the same but the feels isn't. She wondered if it's the new environment or just her adjusting but for sure she does not like it. The comfort she's starting to feel, she doesn't like it.

She sat up and sigh. I want to end this mission now. She thought. This is getting out of hand. There is something different from the girl she's going to kill. A distinct matter she can't understand. She felt genuine but not that cold natural personality of her. Something deep in her seems to be attached to the small girl.

Brushing the thoughts away, she stood up and change to her black hoodie and black cap. Her favorite one. She also wears her mask in case she gets into trouble and someone might recognize her. But before going, she took out the brief case she treasured so much. Took the syringe and a dose of vial she needs to survive for the month. Every month she needs it for her body to suppress the effects of the past has given to her.

After giving herself her medication. She decided to go meet her squad ready to skin them alive.

Before could Momo open the door, she flew meters away from the punch coming from Mina.

"Fuck" She mutters. Her lips got a scratch and bleeding while her whole left cheek bruised to ot's finest. Sana and Dahyun heard the commotion from the living room and rushed to help their friend.

"Who told you to mess with me?" Mina gave them her deadly cold glare.

"Calm down Mina unnie. It's me okay no need to hit Momo unnie she's out of this" Dahyun sigh and everyone's attention is into her. Sana gave her girlfriend a questioning look. She herself does not know what is happening.

"Don't stop me Sana. I'm going to kill your girlfriend" In a blink of an eye, Mina stood close in front of them ready to beat the hell out of Dahyun. But Sana managed to stop her blow by her palm. Her hands seems to crack some bones from the impact. She hissed in pain but did not budge on her place.

"Like hell I'll let you lay a finger on her" Sana knows Mina is strong but she's not a member of this squad for nothing.

"Minari stop it let them explain" Momo tried to push the girl away from the two. Her face has already healed up, not even a scratch left.

"We have a reason. Let us explain." Dahyun felt sorry towards her girlfriend who looks in pain.

"Fine. If that doesn't satisfy me, I'll hang you three." She threatened. Sana cradle her broken palm and start moving it slowly. The bones starts to heal themselves like how magic does. Well the only lie on that is it isn't magic.

"I am on a investigation about someone who escaped like us. My research tells me that person is here in Korean. I hacked everything I need and that lead me to that building. My tracker tells me it is there. Living like a normal person she is" Dahyun started. Mina frowns on that, how is that related in meddling on her work?

"Another thing, captain wants you to finish the girl as fast as possible" Sana continued.

"Why? She's the one who asked me to do it painfully."

"The organization is hunting us. They will be here in two months Mina. You need to kill that girl as fast as you can or we'll be cornered here on Korea" That mere mention or the organization makes sense to Mina. Now that's the kind of reason she can accept.

"Why not tell me personally? or call me? Why must you do that?" The last question is for Dahyun to answer.

"We can't call you for safety purposes and Sana unnie is too scared to meddle with your mission but not that I am not okay. I just wanted to kill two birds in one stone Mina unnie. So I took a gamble but it turns out I did hit one not two" She sigh but not in disappointment more on relief. That she had gain her goal without killing Son Chaeyoung. If by chance that happened that would be the end of her. Taking Mina's prey would be claiming death. Mina might be her unnie but as someone who lives with her for a long time, she witnessed the cruelty and lack of solicitude of the cold woman. Not even to the sisterhood. Her last squad got slain by her own hands because they betrayed her. The Underground Assassins Association has to in prison her for months in doing that but it's not they can blame her for getting her revenge.

"I don't have any intention on killing that civilian too. If I am I wouldn't prepare an antidote" Dahyun continued. Mina sighed after hearing their explanation. It's not that she don't trust. She got betrayed once. She can't afford if any of these girls mess with her. This squad is the only squad who manage to stay with her for long. They literally grown together.

"Fine. I believe you. But next time don't do something like that or I'll really skin you alive Dahyunie" she gave the younger girl a stern look and Dahyun nodded instantly. Sana and Momo sigh in relief.

"Fancy some coffee guys?" Momo offered. The four of them agreed to gather on the living room to further talk about the matter.

"So how are we going to deal with Im Nayeon?" Sana asked while holding her mug.

"I have her information. She's an orphan but managed to live on her own. She has a girlfriend named Yoo Jeongyeon. Cousin of Son Chaeyoung and president of Twice Entertainment. Im Nayeon is clearly one of us, unnie and I saw it" Dahyun explained.

"We need to get her." Momo suggested.

"I agree. We need more manpower" Sana nodded.

"But Nayeon won't be joining us." Mina disagreed.

"Why unnie?"

"She won't agree" She crossed her arms and start to think of any possibilities.

"hmm you have a point" The four of them sat silently, thinking of a plan.

"I think I just know how to persuade her." Dahyun smirked. She looks so confident with her idea.

Well out of the four of them Dahyun specialized in planning and stuffs related in strategy. Her skills is highly inclined in hacking an programing, a top notch. That's what the past has given to her. A great mind that could be a curse hunting her forever. Momo is in chemicals category. Her skills is enhanced in dealing with chemicals, she's a genius in making a formula. Let it be poison that could kill you instantly or a medicine to heal you immediately. Sana has her eyes as her asset. Her vision is hundred times better than a sniper scope. She can also see in the darkness. She also can aim perfectly without a single bullet to miss, that's her ability. Mina is different. She has the strength, resilient, flexibility and agility. She can move in a different place without being noticed. In other words she's the field woman of the team.

But those abilities does not make any of them proud. It is a curse for them. A proof that they can't live normally. An evidence that they're life is limited. An ability traded for some part of them. Mina has her emotions taken. Her ability to feel affection. Dahyun has her weak body, she can get sick if she were to stay outside for too long. Sana can't cry. Her ability to feel the sorrow and cry was taken away from her. Momo can't taste foods, she can only taste coffee. The bitterness has stayed with her. All of them got together with the same goal. Take down the organization that made them like that. To burn the people who take away their freedom and family. All their memories in childhood was erased and only the painful events stayed. How they became a lab rat by those devil scientist. They can't forget it, not in a million years.

"Okay then. I'll let you three do that" Mina nodded in agreement after hearing Dahyun's plan.

"When are you planning in killing Son Chaeyoung?" Momo asked.

"The next full moon" Mina has her eyes fixed on the wall clock.

"That's the last week of the month right?" Dahyun asked.

"Yeah, by that we can have the time to plan what country to go" still having her monotonous tone. The three nodded in agreement.

"Did Tzuyu came here?" Mina remembered she has yet to talk to the girl about her past. Tzuyu is a great benefactor of them. She's friends with their captain who they never saw not even once in their life.

"She did. She said she can take care of our moving. She talked with the captain about the matter." Dahyun leans on her girlfriend's shoulder and Sana smiled on her move.

"Hey Dahyunie have you seen our captain's face?" Momo asked.

"Yeah" she smirked. She knows that she's the only one who knows the face of their captain besides Tzuyu and they have the agreement of not telling anyone. Even these three.

"Yah when?!" Sana is surprised that her Dahyun managed to hide that from them. Mina don't mind though. She doesn't care as long as they help them.

"Bimil-iya" (It's a secret)

Chaeyoung woke up with a throbbing headache. She felt her body burning and weak. It seems like what happened yesterday has taken a toll on her. She grunted and tried to sat up on the bed. She needs to stand up, she has work to do and visit her Jeongyeon unnie. In her heavy steps, she made way to the kitchen only to be greeted with Mina.

"You look terrible" She commented.

"No need to point out the obvious. I felt like dying." She slumps on her seat. Mina placed her palm on the younger girl's forehead and sigh. She took a  glass of water with some medicine.

"Eat first then drink this" She put the things besides the girl's plate.

"I don't have the appetite to eat" She exclaimed like a whining kid.

"Eat or you want me to feed you?" Mina crossed her arms on her front. God she hated babysitting so much.

"Will you?" Chaeng's eyes twinkled on that idea. She really don't have the energy to move a muscle. Mina wanted to smack the girl in front of her for such request but she knows she can't. Patience Mina. She chanted in her mind.

"Here" She blows the soup before giving it to the girl. Chaeng smiled in delight. Aw sweet, we look like a couple. She chuckled.

"What are you thinking boss?" Mina gave her a weird look. Chaeyoung just shrug and open her mouth again. Mina wanted to roll her eyes but tried not to and just give her another spoon full but this time she did not blow it.

"A-tteugeoun!" She flinched and tried to blow the hot food in her mouth.

"Opps sorry" Mina laughed. The girl's face is so hilarious for her not to. But that act made her stop herself. Fuck.

"Yah why are you so mean to me?" Chaeyoung didn't notice the sudden change of the girl's expression as she is busy with her mouth.

"Eat that you're not a baby" Mina gave her the spoon. Seeing that Chaeyoung rejected it and muster herself to do the most embarrassing thing she has ever done in her life. She had never thought about doing this ever with anyone until now.

"Minari feed me" she said in aegyo that made Mina stiff. Oh Satan why am I feeling this way?!

"w-what are you doing?" for the first time, Chaeyoung heard her ever composed bodyguard stutters in front of her. That makes her feel wanting to tease her more.

"Do you hate Chaengie?" She said again with cringy aegyo. Oh my she felt deja vu all of a sudden. I sound like my old man damn it but now I can see why my father loves to do it.

"Y-yah what's happening to you?" Mina felt like digging a grave and dumping this girl in front of her. She can't believe that this girl has this side too. A very fist clenching side. If she could see her as a normal person, she would probably hug the cute creature in front but no she can't she would rather choose to strangle her to death. She's cute- what?! no!

"Minari? You hate Chaengie?" Chaeyoung acted like she's going to cry. Mina has to swallow the tempt to kill the girl and replied.

"No I don't." she said, clenching her jaw and forcing a smile.

"Then do you like Chaengie?" Oh this little devil.
