Chapter 8

"Then do you like Chaengie?"

"As my boss" Mina smiled formally in a business like manner. There's no way she would give this midget what she wants.

"No fun. Aren't you my friend?" Chaeng frowned accusingly.

"I am if you stop that hair tingly aegyo." She deadpan. Chaeng chuckled at the annoyed body guard of her. She's tempted to proceed and annoy her more when her phone starts to vibrate. Mina and her shared a look. The caller is none other than her Jihyo unnie. She immediately answered the call as yesterday's event freshen up in her mind. Mina gave her boss a privacy and goes back to her room to change.

"Hello unnie?"

"Hey cub! Jeongie is awake. I need to fill in for her in the company can you help me after your visit of her?" Jihyo asked and it seems like she's busy with the shuffling from the background like she's pacing back and forth taking care of something.

"Are you in the office now unnie?" She asked worriedly.

"Yes, I am taking care of stuffs that has been delayed. Some sponsors and partnerships. God there is this one CEO who wants to be meet in person and the worst part? she lives in Daegu" She sighed in exhaustion, frustration and annoyance.

"Aigoo I'll help you unnie send me instead" She offered. This is the only thing she can help with the problem she caused. She still can't forget that she's one of the reason why her Jeongyeon unnie is in that state.

"Are you sure? Don't you want to see Jeongyeon first?" She asked, also skeptical in letting the girl go.

"She'll be good. Nayeon unnie is with her besides I'll be back in a whim" She said with much enthusiasm.

"Uhm a-actually it won't be a single trip?" Jihyo's voice stutters.

"What?"

"It's a whole week trip to convince that person to invest" Chaeng stopped working after hearing the older woman. Oh God she just bought herself a vacation.

"Who is this CEO?" She asked praying that it wasn't the girl she's thinking about. The powerful woman who lives on that town.

"It's Bae Joohyun of Bae Empire" Chaeng closed her eyes in defeat and sighed. This is the worst. The Bae Empire has always been in a silent war with her Son Technology. Her cousin Son Wendy the current director and Bae Joohyun or prominently known as Irene, has this history of getting in each other's nerves. The reason? It is unknown but for sure that Bae don't like her.

"I see" She slumps on her seat feeling disheartened. "Do we really have to get her?"

"Yes, I know It's pretty fucked up but the Bae's has their hands on media and entertainment right? If you connect the dots, yes it is very necessary" Her Jihyo unnie knows how to handle this company matter so she has trusted her decisions and choices.

"Very well, I will try my best" She said, more on to herself.

"Thanks cub! I'll buy you the ticket and everything you need then it is settled." Jihyo now sounds more cheerful, a lot contrary to Chaeng.

"Don't forget Mina will be going with me" She reminded and Jihyo agreed before they ended the call. She sighed again. She needs to do a research about what that Bae Joohyun's likes to at least please her enough not to throw an immediate rejection. Making the problem worse she still has her headache to fuck her brain out. She tried to shrug the thoughts for now and eat her almost cold breakfast.

Mina heard the conversation. She's an assassin in occupation and so she bugged Chaeyoung's phone without her knowing. She could notice the frustration in the younger woman's voice by the mention of Bae Joohyun. She wondered there must be a connection between the two woman. Knowing just what to do, she called the person who knows just how to get data.

"Hello unnie?" Dahyun answered in her morning voice. It seems like she just woke up.

"Who is that Dahyunie?" A familiar voice asked from the other line. Well Mina don't need to guess who is that.

"Can you look up someone for me?" Mina asked not minding the whining Sana.

"Anything for you Mina unnie. Just tell me who." Dahyun replied nonchalantly.

"It's Bae Joohyun of  Bae Empire." By the mention of name Dahyun made a stop.

"That Bae? Why?" With more curiosity in her tone.

"Target related" She answered as if saying that she don't want anymore questions and Dahyun knows her enough to get that.

"Geez. I understand. I'll send you the info later" She sighed knowing the older girl. Mina rarely ask for help and when she did, she's really impatient.

"Thanks" and before could Dahyun reply she ended the call like a boss she is. She sat on the edge of the bed and stare at the window for a moment. She just realize that the view outside is really beautiful. Chaeyoung made a good choice in choosing for her condo.

Now she's having thoughts about her prey again. This is something she often did from the moment they start exchanging banters. She remembered what Tzuyu said to her. Chaeyoung is no ordinary girl. She has that something on her that you could feel comfortable about. If she can just feel affection like a normal person maybe she can reconsider in taking her real job down. But that's a scratch in her assassin pride. For now I have to focus, gain her trust and kill her. That's the job and shall happen.

Jeongyeon slowly adjusted to the light as she opens her eyes. She felt a weight on her right arm only to see Nayeon sleeping on it. She smiled unconsciously seeing the bunny by her side. She slowly cares her lover's peaceful sleeping face and giggled when a crease in between her brows came. Nayeon stirred and woke up from the subtle touch of the girl.

"Oh you're awake. How are you feeling?" worried evident in her eyes as she speaks.

"Fine- Water please" that came out hoarse. Nayeon tended to her plea and gave her water. After drinking and emptied the glass she sigh in relief.

"Love you look so tired you should rest more" She worriedly check her lover who has yet change from her outfit since the event.

"You should worry about yourself Jeongie" She pouted which made her chuckle.

"Aigoo I'm stronger than what you think" She joked that successfully earned a light slap on her shoulder.

"Strong my ass. I really thought I'm going to lose you there" Her voice quivers as yesterday's event reminded her how close she is in losing her happiness. Jeongyeon noticed how she made the older sad and gestured her to come closer. Nayeon oblige like a kid and hug her tight.

"Don't cry Nabong. I promised I will never leave you right?" She hug her closer and let the woman cry her worried heart out.

"You better be or I'll hunt you to hell" She threatens.  Jeongyeon laughed at her lover's joke.

"I better am" She smiled and eskimo kiss her crying wife. Kissed her forehead and tuck her worries away.

Dahyun is silently typing codes while her girlfriend is looking at her intently. Sana still can't let the fact about her girlfriend meeting their captain without her knowing. She can't help it but feel betrayed. Momo saw the scene in front of her and giggled towards her still sulking friend.

"You should let it go Sana-chan" She nudge the girl to stop with the stare. Sana huffed in annoyance.

"It's just Dahyunnie never hide things to me" She sighed.

"Dahyunnie has her reasons Sana-chan. Besides it's the captain's request which means we can't go against" Momo leaned on the wall next to her and watch their younger hacker do her thing.

"Okay fine but why do Mina-chan has to send some job at this time of day when we are supposed to be having our date" She crossed her arms like a kid angry for being stealed at.

"Well Dahyun owe her one so you can either wait or die" Momo laughed not really joking about the die thing. Sana just rolled her eyes and give Momo a glare.

"Then maybe you should show me your new invention" She smirked. Remembering about the new interesting chemical the raccoon is making.

"About that I need someone to test it. Are you up to it?" Momo beamed. Sana reflected the same enthusiasm and drag the two of them towards the mad scientist lab.

"Why is it color green?" that was the first thing Sana noticed on the formula.

"I added some organic things there. Don't worry I have the antidote already." Momo winked and give her the formula. Sana contemplated if she should drink it or trust her mad friend. Well Sana is one of the few people who'll trust a mad person and so she drank it all.

"So how is it?" Momo asked expectantly.

Sana did not say anything instead she gave the girl a blank expression. A very serious one. Momo blinked waiting for a reply. After recovering, the formula took its effect. Sana started to laugh like a crazy woman who just heard a joke for a first time. Momo gave her a weird look.

"This.. I felt like I can't stop laughing haha what the fuck is this Momoring!" She laughed and laughed. Momo creased her browse realizing her formula failed and pouted.

"It was supposed to make you honest. I am making an upgraded version of that drug."

"Well you clearly failed-" she laughed again.

"Did you have sex with Dahyun yesterday?" She suddenly asked.

"Yes-" Sana cover her mouth instantly. Momo's gloomy face brighten up from the response.

"I see. It might be the side effect that's making you laugh" Momo laughed in delight. Sana refused to open her mouth.

"Now tell me what is your favorite position?"

"Oh shit"

I'm finally back wahhhhhhhhhh short update for now. I'm taking things slow for now. Im really2 busy with school and stuff huhuhu.
