I have to admit, seeing an unknown but elegant-in-everyway-face popping in the mirror at the rise of dawn will creep you out. I staggered for about a week knowing that I had entered the world of a novel only to be executed at the end. I wrote down my plans after I got a hold of myself a day in a piece of rough paper that smells like the medieval times.

Even if I was living a jobless but amazing and luxurious life, I realized that a duke's adopted daughter lives in complete isolation and neglection from others. Except for my personal maids, Catelin, Joyce and Eliza. It tipped me off a little at first, and I wanted to slap the original Rose for losing her temper for the bullying the estate maids committed and for acting pitiful since she has no real power. But, it made sense since she was just a substitute for the real daughter. Even the older twin brothers, Richard and Robert ignored her. The only thing she claims for herself is her sword training that she learnt in secret while watching the knights. I assumed that I would suck at it knowing that I might not be able to lift a sword but fortunately, Rose's body was very fluent in it.

I was returning from my sword training through the corridor to meet face to face with a young knight group. They were laughing about something and when they noticed me, they didn't even bat an eye and continued their conversation as if I was invisible. Even if I was adopted, they shouldn't have any right to look down on me. An idea popped in my head which I wavered off quickly but unmercifully it didn't die down and raged through my head until it took action on its own.

"Hey!!!" I screamed at the knights. They looked up but shrugged me off. I made an evil smirk and let out a sinister laugh. The one that goes kekeke.

"You dare to disrespect a noble lady of the house, huh?" I asked with an alarming tone. The knights looked up a little disheveled, but didn't care much. It must be a common for the Rose to accept their pitiful glances.

I took a breath and slipped off my glove and threw it at the face of a knight who had a crooked nose. They gasped. Of course, they should! Who would believe a frail lady would request a duel in the first place? But little did they know that I'm not the Rose who was too afraid to stand up for herself. I'm too proud and stubborn to let them or anyone pity me.

"My lady, do you have any idea what you just did?" The knight asked a little hesitantly.

"Yes, and I'll see you at the grounds tomorrow" I am sure that news will enter most of the crowds' ears in the whole estate and I won't bat a horse's hair for all their useless thoughts. I have to build a good reputation step by step while using this perfect authority placed in my empty hands.
