My mom lives near a man in his 40s. When she moved he helped her, and they quickly became friends, a friendship that still exist today. He have two sons. I knew them since they are little ; they were 3 and 6 when I met them, they are 14 and 17 now. I always liked big bro, he is calm, nice and generally fun to be around. But I always had a bad feeling about little bro. Frankly I hated him. For no reasons whatsoever. He was always loud, noisy, and mean with everyone, especially with animals. As far I as know he never killed any, but I remember that I was looking for a sitter for my pet rats a few years ago, and the family was o.k. to take them for all my holidays. Perfect plan for everybody, but I distinctly thought "I don't want my pets to be alone with little bro", so I had to take them with me instead.
Every time I talked about my mum about little bro and his behaviour, she shushed me by saying boys will be boys, you are too sensitive, big bro have to learn to stand up for himself, it's a dog eat dog world and all that shit. I talked to the father once about my concerns, mostly about big bro being bullied by his brother, and the answer was lame : big bro is such a sissy. It was almost a joke between them, and sometimes I thought that I was crazy, because I was the only one to be repulsed by this kid. Yesterday I came to my mum's house for the day. The neighbour waved at us but looked worried. I asked my mum why. "Oh, when he was gardening he found some animal bones. He asked the kids wtf was it, and apparently little bro is collecting dead bodies of animals on the roads, and burrying them in the backyard. So his father's worried because it's not a normal behaviour for a kid. He is wondering if he have to take him to a shrink or something".
Seriously mom? Did you heard about Jeffrey Dahmer ? This is litteraly in How to be a perfect serial killer, the textbook ! And as usual, I'm too much concerned about him, he is perfectly fine, and I'm overanalyzing everything. Little bro, I don't want to meet you in a few years. I hope you will receive the help you obviously need. And if I see you near my pets or my son, I think I'll call the cops.
