In the short distance, she observed a small mound that rose alone. On top of it, she could see two large trees and a cluster of yellow, green and blue fireflies circulating beneath them, which emanated a glowing light. But these seemed to be circling in perfect synchrony, which caught her attention, and made her decide to go to the place.
In the Gardens, a desperate Bongo began to demand the dragons to keep their distance so that he could be with his sore beloved. She remained lying in the same place where they had sat down to watch the night show, just moments before.
âI donât feel my legsâ says Rosaleth. âI have no idea what this is, itâs likeâ itâs like something wants to come out. And I feel that I will be gone, if I allow this. Something is growing violently inside me, Bongo.â
âI donât know what is going on either, but I wonât abandon you.â he replied.
âAnd me neither, mother!â Dracko exclaimed.
Everyone surrounded the family in a dragon circle. Rosaleth kept screaming and emitting groans of pain.
In a masterful moment, the Golden King appeared in the air, with his plasmatic staff, in front of their faces. The surprised dragons broke through as Wiz approached the center of the circle, where Rosaleth, Bongo and Dracko were.
âLetâs get her out of hereâ said Wiz, âsheâs suffocating.â
âWhere to, sir?â Bongo asked.
âTo the center of the square; at the Kingâs Statue.â replied Wiz.
The dragons held Rosaleth while she was still bellowing in pain. They took her to the center of the square. Upon arriving there, they placed her delicately on the polished floor, on top of a tablecloth, so that the Golden King could examine her properly. He had been left behind, for the appearance of some old symbols and numbers in the nearby trees distracted his attention. Slowly, he began to approach them.
âWhat is going on, my lord? Iâm anxious and confused.â Bongo whispered.
âI am as well, son,â he replied. âIt will be strange what you will hear, but I think your beloved is giving birth.â
âGiving birth?!â exclaimed Bongo. âHow is this possible? What kind of Raen can beget from this?â
âIâm afraid I have no ideaâ says Wiz, âbut we must stay here. This birth is going to be intense. Do not alarm the crowd, or say anything yet. Letâs get closer to Rosaleth.â
Both dragons approached the female. They no longer knew how to grab her. Her face was shrinking and turning pale.
âMy daughter, what do you feel?â asked the Golden King.
âSir,â replied Rosaleth, âI feel a burning light is growing inside of me. I canât stand it anymore. I donât know if I will make it.â
Even though the woman saddened the place, and generated tension in it, Wiz observed that in their surroundings, it was actually a wonderful night. It denoted a spectacular beauty. The roses lit by themselves. The orange leaves of the trees radiated pleasant smells. The sky was splendidly illuminated, thanks to the stars and the sensational light of an aurora never seen before. The trees were waving gently, emanating from their trunks the number seven, described in the legendary language; engraved in lava and fire. It wasnât understandable, why on such a beautiful night, such a strange and tragic event was happening.
Suddenly, a light illuminated Rosaleth completely. This light originated from her belly, and in the course of enlightenment, some last cries of pain and anguish were heard from her. She expelled a circular aura of golden light that pushed everyone out of her area. A propulsion, which did not harm anyone, but moved away all the dragons from their places. The Gardens were covered by the blinding light.
Meanwhile, Adelia climbed the slightly steep path of the mound. Climbing up it, she obtained a wider view of the region where she was. The place was coming from a fairy tale. The lagoons illuminated the clearing of the spring, and she realized that all the trees had the ancestral symbol forged on their trunks. She reached the top of the mound, where hundreds of fireflies circulated in a small space. They were protecting something. Thanks to their coordinated flight, they formed a ring of bright energy, which evoked an imposing sound.
The closer she got to this one, the more the sound became sharper, listening more clearly. The fireflies were going so fast that they stopped seeing each other and only the formation of the energy ring of amber color was appreciated.
Leaning back shy, in one of the trees at the top, she decided to observe the center of the ring of light, and when she looked at it, her eyes could not figure the shape of the creature that rested inside of it, for the light blinded her eyes. But to her surprise, the creatureâs sound turned out to be more familiar than she would imagine. It was the sound of a crying baby.
