It wasn't her imagination.
So it turned out that Patrick was by her side the day she gave birth.
He was alive.
Patrick laughed. Alice looked at him, and did not even dare to blink. She afraid that he would disappear with a blink of an eye, and he would no longer exist.
Tears rolled down her face.
Seeing that, Patrick's smile disappeared. He stood up and walked to Alice, extended his hand, and flicked his finger to remove the sparkling and translucent eyes from her face, "Why are you crying?"
Alice stared at him dumbfoundedly as tears blurred her vision. She raised her hand with trembling fingers and touched his chin with her fingertips.
In a second, she retracted her finger.
There was a temperature.
"I knew that you wouldn't die. I knew that you wouldn't die," Alice mumbled.
It's been a long time.
She knew that he would not die.
"Yeah, I survived." Patrick opened his arms wide for her and pulled her into his embrace, embracing her well-developed body.
Alice closed her eyes, her tears flowing. She extended her hand and climbed onto his back, "You're still alive."
Her voice was choked with sobs.
After hugging for a while, Alice's excited mood changed. She pushed his arm away and wiped away her tears, then asked, "Patrick, why didn't you contact me after all this time?"
"The last time I contacted you before I left, didn't you come as well?"
Patrick laughed bitterly as he lowered his eyes and stared at her.
At the mention of that invitation, a look of guilt appeared on Alice's face and her eyes moistened, "Sorry, Patrick, you have been blaming me this whole time, right? So you didn't contact me."
She was always apologetic.
She did not go to his last invitation and did not even say goodbye, then he disappeared from her sight.
"If I blamed you, why should I save you now?"
Patrick said and smiled at her.
He didn't blame her.
He was always gentle.
"I thought I was dreaming. I didn't expect it to really be you." Alice stood there comforted, she wiped her tears and asked curiously, "But that doctor said Browns?"
"Sit down and I'll talk to you."
Patrick said as he reached out and pressed down on her shoulders, pushing her out.
Alice's walking was still uncomfortable, but hearing that she could not help but say, "I think it's better if I listen to it later. I want to go see my children first. Are they two boys?"
Having been pregnant for so long, she hadn't deliberately asked about the child's gender.
The doctors didn't tell her.
"You has good genes. It's another pair of Dragon and Phoenix twins." Patrick said with a smile.
"Is this the birth of a boy and a girl?" Alice turned her head towards Patrick in surprise.
Amazing.
It was actually a dragon and phoenix embryo. "Yeah. But they're asleep now, so why don't you listen to me and see them again? " Patrick pushed her out of the room with his elegant voice.
Alice pondered for a moment, then nodded, "Sure."
He led Alice into a resting room, and she sat down on the sofa. Patrick personally brewed a cup of scented tea for her.
She sat there, quietly staring at Patrick.
Patrick stood in front of a sideboard, his figure was long and slender. Sunlight slowly flowed down from the window and gently fell on his body, covering his white casual jacket with a layer of faint light.
He personally picked out a bunch of coffee beans and polished them. His movements were extremely elegant.
Alice gazed at him from afar, her elegant and round face maintaining smiling. How wonderful it was that he didn't die.
The youth that had once fallen in the snow and handed his hand to her was still alive.
"Am I good-looking? You are keep staring at me." Patrick turned and looked at her, and his handsome face revealing a smile, looking extremely gentle.
"Patrick, it's good to see you again." Alice smiled, extended her hand, cupped and gently tasted it.
The tea was breezily brewed, and a small daisy floated on the surface.
Hearing that, Patrick looked at her deeply. A strange look flashing past his eyes, "Are you really thinking like that?"
"Of course."
"I thought that when you were with William, you wouldn't think of me." Patrick said softly.
"How is that possible? We are friends, right?"
Alice said.
Hearing this, Patrick paused for a moment as he turned the coffee grinder, a dim look sweeping past his eyes.
Friend.
He had saved her when she was at her most desperate. He was still a friend. Not in a rush, not in a hurry.
Alice sensed Patrick's sudden silence, but she did not say much. She cherished Patrick as her friend, but that was all.
"Oh yeah, why did you let the doctor say that he is from the Brown?" Alice asked curiously.
"I am currently working for the Browns, so it is correct that my subordinates are also from there." Patrick stood there, brewing coffee, and laughed: "I didn't say that, but I wanted to give you a surprise. I didn't expect you to be so cautious." "After experiencing so many things, how could I dare to casually trust others?" Alice held her teacup and said, "However, you clearly know where I am, so why did you take so long?"
Why did it take so long to save me?
Before she finished speaking, Alice suddenly realized the answer. Her heart trembled as she looked at Patrick.
Patrick was also looking at her, his gaze blazing.
The emotions in his eyes were so intimate that Alice couldn't help but to turn her head and avoid looking into his eyes. Her fingers rubbed the sides of her cup.
She did not expect that after all this time, Patrick would still love her...
She did not finish asking her questions, and Patrick did not rush her. He was calm and composed.
He was in no hurry.
Embarrassment.
Alice put down the teacup and her breathing became a little stiff. She lowered her gaze and suddenly saw an album on the side.
She picked up the photo album and opened it.
It was a photo of "her", or rather, her brother.
It was a face similar to hers. Even though it had a heroic look to it, it insisted on wearing all kinds of female attire to take pictures.
It just didn't fit.
Flipping through it, Alice could not help but smile, "Seems like he really likes girls' clothes."
She didn't think her brother was abnormal but a very interesting person.
He carried the coffee and walked over, saying gently, "Maybe it's because you guys are twins, when he was young, he had a dream about himself in a dress. From then on, he felt that he should be a girl, and started to have a transvestite."
"So that's how it is." Alice asked, "What is his name?"
Alice had fantasized about what kind of person her parents were, but she never thought about what kind of person her sisters and brothers were.
"Chinese name, York." Patrick sat on the sofa opposite her.
"York." Alice murmured this name, and a hint of a smile appeared on her soft lips, "What a beautiful name."
As golden as jade.
Patrick observed the smile on her face. Because she was pregnant, her face was much rounder than before, but this did not affect the purity of her expression. It seemed like she was even more determined than before.
They had all grown up.
"Yes." Patrick took a sip of his coffee, placed the cup down. He spoke with a gentle and clear voice, "Then where do I start from, how do I get to know York?"
"I'm curious."
Alice said.
She was curious about the whole story.
"When you were young, you were very resistant to talking about your biological parents." Patrick looked at her in surprise.
"Yeah, it wasn't until I was a mother that I started to wonder if they had a grudge. I started to want to see the real me." Alice smiled uncertainly.
Patrick said, "I heard from my subordinate that you are very wary of Browns. But I think you're in quite a relaxed state right now."
Alice sat on the sofa and adjusted to a comfortable position with the photo album on her knees. She smiled lightly, "Because you're here, I'm not that nervous." She had been nervous for too long, and was on guard against anything and everything. However, with Patrick, she was indeed a lot more relaxed. She was on guard against anyone who tried to harm her. Hearing this, the smile in Patrick's eyes became even gentler, and then he said, "Actually, the reason why I got to know York was when I was about to go to France, when I saw him at the airport, I was shocked. His features are too similar, too similar, only that his height is much higher than yours, his eyebrows are more heroic, and he's even a man."
"Really? I think I'll be shocked when I see a real person." Alice could not help but say as she looked down at the photo album in her hands and flipped through the pictures inside.
They were all photos of her little brother disguised as a woman.
Patrick sat opposite to her, a complicated look flitting past his eyes as he continued, "He also saw me and recognized me. We had a chat at that time." "He knows you?" Alice was stunned.
I should say that York recognised me from you. At that time, you were pulled to the center of the world by William's confession. When he saw you, he was also very surprised that there was actually a girl who looked so much like him. So he back to see you.
"But I didn't see him." Alice said.
"At that time, you would be staying in the Imperial Castle every day. he wouldn't have had the chance to get close to you." Patrick said, "He told me a few things and asked me a few more questions."
"What happened next?"
"Later, when I was ready to talk to you again, I didn't go abroad. I sat there alone for a long time until the plane took off." Patrick said.
"So you escaped the plane crash." After thinking for a while, she continued, "However, when the plane crash happened, my chest suddenly became very stuffy, and at that time, I thought something happened to you."
As she finished speaking, Patrick's expression became exceptionally complicated. His lips moved, and he seemed to want to say something, but he stopped herself.
He looked at her, then reached for his cup and took a sip of coffee.
Alice looked at his expression, "What's wrong?" "York was on that plane. He boarded the plane."
