Xavier sat there, he raised his eyes and looked at William sternly, and said coldly, "If you really knew your wrongs, you wouldn't have done such a thing."
It's not like he knows he's wrong.
"My mistake is not having asked you for permission, but I still have to make this engagement with Alice." William said word by word, "The background of my family is very complex, I had no choice but to come up with this plan, please forgive me."
Respectfully.
It was the demeanor of a junior.
Alice stared at him blankly. He clearly minded York, and even Brown Family, but he was still standing here.
Xavier and Beverly looked at each other, then stood up from the chair and walked out, saying coldly, "Come with me."
"Yes."
William answered, he followed him out.
Alice immediately stood up from the bed and wanted to leave with them. Beverly grabbed her hands and said, "Alright, let your father go and talk with him. You can't make him think that you don't have a family to support you, or he will bully you."
Alice could only sit down and say, "William treats me very well, he won't bully me."
"You haven't even gotten married yet and you defend him." Beverly looked at her with a slightly heartbreaking expression, "Truly, a girl cannot be kept forever."
"Mother!"
Alice looked at Beverly helplessly.
"Alright, you don't have to worry about him. I've discussed it with your father, and we won't stop you." Beverly said.
Alice was startled, so that was how it was. Her parents had already discussed this beforehand, no wonder her father didn't scold her when she came in and even gave her half of the apple.
Beverly said as she pulled her, "We are not clear about William's character, but your father said that he is someone who does great things. Furthermore, the only good thing about him doing all these is that he can live with you. This means that he truly loves you and dares to take the risk."
Alice never thought that her parents had already analyzed this matter so thoroughly.
Her worries were unnecessary.
She couldn't help chuckling. "It's good to have understanding parents. I was prepared to cry until you agreed."
"What, you only know now that you're afraid we won't agree?"
Beverly scolded.
Alice lowered her head, "I'm afraid that you two will break off all relations with me."
She loved her parents very much. She finally got a warm home with great difficulty. She really didn't want to lose it again.
Hearing this, Beverly's eyes immediately reddened, and she pulled Alice into her embrace, "Fool, you're our daughter, how can we bear to break off all relations with you? As long as you're happy, we're satisfied."
She knew that her daughter was nervous because of her previous experience and was afraid of being abandoned.
"Thank you, mother." Alice leaned into her embrace and hugged her tightly, "You're the best mother in the entire world."
"Forget about the past and live the rest of your life well."
Beverly patted her and hugged her.
They leaned against each other, feeling incomparable warm.
Suddenly, Beverly sighed, "However, we are all thinking for your sake, but there is someone without being taken care of, I don't know what to do either."
Of course, Alice knew who Beverly was talking about. She sat up from Beverly's embrace and asked, "Has Patrick returned to Italy?"
When she entered the ward and did not see Patrick, Alice subconsciously thought that he had gone back to Italy.
"No, he eavesdropped that your father and I were discussing your marriage at noon today, so he left. Until now, he still hasn't come back, and even if we call him, we won't be able to reach him." Beverly said, her eyebrows knitted tightly.
"What? Patrick is gone?"
Alice stood up immediately and looked at Beverly in shock.
"Yes, we indeed fail child. He wholeheartedly helped you and the Brown Family and did many things for you. We did want him to be with you at first." Beverly sighed.
The matter about Patrick was not easy to resolve.
Alice asked anxiously, "Did you not find Patrick even now?"
Beverly nodded, "Yeah, I don't know where he went, but he said he was just taking a walk, so we don't need to worry."
"How could this be?"
Alice stood there and took the phone from Beverly. When she called Patrick, she was informed that his phone had beem switched off.
Patrick.
Where would he go?
Alice returned the phone to Beverly, then looked at her. "Mother, are you really alright?"
"I didn't feel anything at first, but when I arrived at the hospital I got even more sleepy. I just slept for a long time, and now that I'm more energetic, I'm completely fine. I shall stay here for another night and then I'll be able to go home." Beverly said as she comforted her daughter.
Hearing her mother's words, Alice's eyes rolled, and then she said, "It's good that you're fine. Then I will not stay here to accompany you, William and I will go find Patrick."
"Sure." Beverly nodded, "Patrick isn't by his parents' side right now, and we are the only ones worrying about him."
Beverly was also worried that something would happen to Patrick.
Patrick and York both had a feminine appearance and a gentle personality. Beverly had always treated him as her future son-in-law, but she did not expect that such a thing would happen.
"Then I'll go right now. Take care of yourself and leave the matter of Patrick to me. Don't worry about it."
Alice said.
"Alright, I understand. Your father is here, so don't worry about me." Beverly nodded and laid down on the bed. After covering her with the blanket, Alice turned and left.
Walking out from the ward, William and Xavier also walked over from the other end of the corridor.
William was always half a step back from Xavier, walking forward together with him.
So soon?
Alice walked towards Xavier in surprise, then said, "Father, William and I will be leaving now. We will go look for Patrick."
After saying that, William looked up and a sharp light beam shot into her body, as if he wanted to shoot a few holes.
Alice pretended not to see it and only looked at her father. Xavier's face was stiff and serious, he looked at her for a moment and nodded his head, "That's fine, I have something to discuss with him after you find him and bring him back."
Patrick had always been a reliable man when it came to handling matters. Xavier had groomed him as the successor, and was used to discussing things with him.
"Understood, Father."
Alice nodded.
Xavier walked forward, opened the door and entered the ward. Only William and Alice were left in the quiet corridor.
Alice raised her eyes and looked at William. William glared at her, "Patrick is a child? You want me to help you find him? Alice, stop dreaming!"
"Why did you suddenly come? Didn't you not want to see my parents?"
Alice asked instead of answering.
"I am willing to do so!"
William said coldly, he turned and walked away with big steps.
Alice chased after him and asked, "How did you know my mother liked lilies? I didn't tell you."
"Isn't it easy to find out?" William walked forward without looking back.
"Then why did you bring gifts?"
In Alice's impression, William did not know anything about humanity. "Why are you so long-winded?" William said coldly as he walked into the elevator.
Daniel stood outside the elevator with his head lowered. When she saw Daniel, she suddenly understood and smiled at him, "Thank you, Steward Daniel."
Most likely, only Daniel would remind him of courtesy.
Daniel smiled.
"Why are you thanking him? It's my money!" William glared at Alice.
This woman thanked his housekeeper! He was the one who paid for it! He was the one who came up to see her parents! Shouldn't she thank him for this? "You have a lot of money anyway, so spending money doesn't matter much to you." Alice walked into the elevator and stood by William's side.
William wanted to strangle her to death.
No gratitude.
"What moves me the most is that you're willing to come up and see my parents. Even if you don't bring anything, I'm still very touched, really." She knew that it was extremely difficult for William to do so.
It was all because of her that he suddenly changed his mind.
She knew this very well.
"Moved? And then?" William shot her a glance.
"Then let's go find Patrick. He's gone, I'm very worried about him."
After Alice finished speaking, she was waiting for William to scold her. In the end, William did not scold her and just looked around.
"What are you looking at?"
Alice looked up, not knowing what he was looking at.
"Find an angle to avoid the cameras to kill you!" William clenched his teeth and said.
Alice looked at his ugly face and laughed involuntarily.
William knew that his arrogant position was in danger, he rolled up his sleeves with a gloomy face, Alice quickly dodged, "Stop messing around, I'm serious, come with me to look for Patrick."
"If you find him, come and beat him up with me!"
William rolled up his sleeves and said gloomily. "William, I'll explain everything to you now."
When the elevator arrived, Alice ignored the opened elevator door. She took a step forward, grabbed William's arm, and looked at him, "Previously, I thought that we were impossible, though I did not love him, I wanted to accompany him until the day I die." Hearing this, William's body instantly stiffened, his eyes stared straight at her. The hand rolling his sleeve suddenly clenched into a fist, the veins on the back of his hand were clearly visible.
