She moved closer to him and threw herself into his arms. She wrapped her arms around his back and leaned against his chest.
William did not push her away and just let her hug him.
The two of them stood for a very long time.
The next day, the sky slowly brightened.
Alice woke up from William's embrace and she sat up from the bed. It was so cold, so in an instant she retracted it and snuck into William's embrace.
William opened his eyes. He has not completely awake yet, so his voice was hoarse, "What happened?"
"So cold."
Alice tightly hugged onto him, and climbed onto his body with her legs.
William immediately became clear-headed and uncomfortably pushed her hand away: "Don't carry me."
"It's really cold."
It was so cold that she didn't want to get up.
Alice crawled into his embrace with all her might.
"Don't hug me anymore." Alice said as she shook her head fiercely, "Hold me a little longer. I'll get up after I've warmed up."
It was really cold outside the blanket.
She should have turned the heater on last night.
William laid on the ground with one hand as Alice's pillow. She was curled up on top of him, wishing that she could climb up right away.
Alice, who was hugging him, still couldn't feel warmth, so she rub her against his body. William's nerves were tightened again, "Alice, did you do this on purpose?"
"What on purpose?"
Alice asked foolishly, rubbing her body against his again.
"You said that people don't need to endure, right?" William's voice became more hoarse.
"Yeah."
Alice nodded her head.
"Then don't get up today!"
After saying that, William suddenly hugged her, flipped over. He lowered his head and kissed her lips. Without any protest, Alice was lost in his kiss.
"Hm."
Alice opened her eyes wide in shock. She never thought that the current her, who had two children, still had the ability to seduce others.
Only when the sun's rays became blinding did the two slowly get out of bed.
Alice walked to the window and pulled the curtain. The sunlight shone in and blinded her eyes, causing her to immediately cover her eyes.
It was late.
"William, I'll make breakfast for you."
Alice turned her head and looked towards William who had just walked out of the bathroom.
"OK."
William replied softly as he walked towards the door. When he opened it, the few maids standing there immediately turned towards them and bowed, "Second Young Master, Miss. Brown. Good morning."
Alice looked at them, "You guys didn't stand here all night, did you?"
Is the soundproofing effect of this door good?
"Yes." The maids nodded.
Alice flushed, "Actually, you guys can go back to sleep at night."
She had stayed in Cullens for a few nights, but there was no maid guarding outside the door. At that time, maids won't talk to her.
"This is the rule. We have to guard it in case master needs anything." The maid respectfully replied, and added, "Please rest assured Miss. Brown, the soundproofing in this room is very effective."
Alice was stunned, and all the maids in Cullens were intelligent.
One of the maids looked up at her. "Breakfast is ready. Where will you eat?"
"In the garden."
William walked out of the deep tunnel and made his decision.
"Yes, Young Master."
The maids nodded and the two of them left.
Alice stood there, turned her gaze towards William and asked, "Are these all maids that are serving you?"
"Yes. They are divided into three classes and take turns."
William buttoned his shirt.
Instead of wearing an official suit and shirt, he chose a white sweater and a coat, revealing a sense of elegance.
"In other words, there's more than that?" Alice said in disbelief, and then said, "I remembered that Holy and Kathy have several female attendants at their sides, and even a butler."
This really was the lifestyle of the aristocrats.
"You'll have one too." William said.
"Me?" Alice pointed to herself, and immediately waved her hand, "I don't want maids. I don't like having so many people serving me, and I don't need any butler either."
She needed to care about anything. Why did she need so many people?
With so many people doing nothing but serving her, she would feel pressured. William lowered his eyes and looked at her, "Alright." Alice nodded, looking at the brown overcoat on his body, "Wait for me. I will go change my clothes."
William watched her running into the locker room.
Later, Alice walked out of the locker room, and changed into a woman's coat. Her waist was locked up by her belt and her figure was exquisite. She touched her hair, wearing the coat walked around and asked with a smile, "Does it look good?"
Couple attire?
William stood there and looked at her, his face as cold as frost. Her thin lip raised its head and asked with a trace of helplessness, "Are you still not leaving?"
"Go."
Alice smiled and ran over to him, taking his arm.
William brought her to a garden restaurant.
The restaurant was a sunroom with a circle of flowers and plants inside. The interior was colorful. The sunlight shone through the window and the temperature inside was also much higher than outside.
There were also a few birdcages hanging in the greenhouse, and the birds were jumping up and down inside, chirping with extreme joy-
"So beautiful."
Alice stood there and admired the flowers. It was really an enjoyable thing to see so many flowers this season.
William had already sat down at the round dining table, while the maids served the dishes one by one.
Alice sat across from William and was about to eat when a maid walked over. She held a hot towel in her hand and bowed respectfully as she looked at, "Miss.Brown."
Just as Alice was at a loss, she saw William raise his hand. A maid was wiping his hand with a hot towel, which released a faint fragrance.
When the maid was done, she withdrew silently.
Alice took a deep breath, then looked at the maid on her side, "I can do it myself."
So this was how the masters of the nobility lived.
"Yes."
The maid smiled and handed over a towel.
After Alice wiped her hands, she handed the towel to the maid. With a glance, she saw William staring at her with his pitch black eyes, "You're not used to it."
"I'm fine."
Alice smiled awkwardly. She touched her hair and was about to get a drink, when another maid walked over with a hot towel, and looked at her respectfully.
Alice looked at her blankly.
"Your hand just touched your hair." the maid said.
"..."Alice pursed her lips and laughed," OK, I will do it myself."
She took the towel and carefully wiped her hands again before she began to eat.
This time, she didn't even dare to touch her itchy ears.
Otherwise, she wouldn't be able to eat this breakfast.
When William saw that, his gaze turned heavy. He did not say anything, and simply lowered his head to eat his breakfast.
Alice ate quietly. After she finished eating, a maid walked over with a stack of photos in her hands. "Miss. Brown, this is the photo that you told us to print."
"Thank you."
That's their family photo. The more she looked at them, the more helpless she became. Seriously, every picture was of her and Kathy smiling brilliantly, but William and his son had an icy face.
Alice flipped through the pages one by one in depression. When she reached the last page, she was stunned.
This was what the bodyguards had taken for them at the beginning. The girls in the picture were obviously not ready yet. When Kathy was teasing Holy, poking his waist, Holy couldn't help but laugh.
While she was holding onto William's arm, William was currently looking down at her hand with his lips curled up obviously.
This laugh was really depressing.
"Slash."
Alice could not hold back her laughter.
"What are you laughing at?"
William sat opposite to her.
"Nothing. I suddenly realized that the Frog King likes to laugh." Alice laughed and said, as she handed the photo over to the maid, "Please enlarge this picture for me. May be this size."
She hung up a few more places.
"Okay. After framing it, we will hand it over to you." The maid nodded.
"Thank you."
Alice said with a smile.
A maid stood up and bowed her head to them. "Second Young Master, Master would like to invite you over after breakfast."
Upon hearing his words, Alice immediately became a little nervous, and said, "Yesterday, only your mother agreed to our marriage. Then..."
"Without my father's approval, she would not agree."
William understood what she was thinking.
"That's good then." Alice nodded in reassurance, "Then you can go. I'll go take a look at the twins."
Since there was no objection, then he probably went to find William to discuss the matter of the marriage.
She wanted it to be simple. If it was done the way the nobility did it, she would probably get depressed.
"Yes."
William nodded.
The two of them walked out of the cafeteria in the garden. Relying on her little knowledge of the Cullen Family, Alice walked towards the direction of Holy and Kathy's study area.
Just when she passed through a pavilion, and the maid that was following behind Alice spoke, "Miss. Brown, Madam invites you."
Alice turned her head back in a daze. Why didn't tell her just now?
But very quickly, she understood that it was only because Elizabeth didn't want William to hear anything that she could tell her.
She nodded. "Okay."
As long as she didn't regret letting them marry each other, everything else should be fine. At most, she could bear a few words of reprimand and contempt.
At the end of the white path, Elizabeth was wearing a beautiful dress as she sat in the pavilion and cut flowers. Her body was not the least bit obese and elegant like a middle-aged woman, and she wore a hat on her head.
