Chapter 2 of 33

Missing

Poems Of Elegance223 words~2 min read

You loved playing games,

Mind games,

Making people tell the truth,

No matter how harsh,

Blackmailing them,

Anything to get what you want.

You had to be at the top,

As queen,

So many wanted you gone,

They hated you,

Yet still admired you,

You were vicious.

Now your gone,

Without a trace,

We searched everywhere,

High and low,

You were always good at hiding,

When you didn’t want to be found.

Come out now,

It's been too long,

No more hiding in the shadows,

No more games,

Just come home,

We miss you.

Why won’t you come home?

Are you in danger?

Is someone hurting you?

Who is it?

Will you tell us?

Will you tell me?

They found a body,

They say it’s yours,

Same clothes,

Same hair,

Same scar,

Yet I don’t believe them.

I wait desperately,

I know you’ll come home,

It’s just a game your playing,

Has to be,

You can’t be gone,

Please come home.

Hours tick by,

Turning into days,

Still no news,

You haven’t come,

Why won’t you come?

My heart starts to break.

Is it really you?

Your funeral?

Your body?

Are you really dead?

Your not coming home,

Your gone, really gone.

I watch devastated,

As they lower you down,

Somewhere I can’t reach you,

My tears are endless,

My heart shatters,

Goodbye.
