(#40) The Diamond Garden.

"I am really sorry for bothering you, Your Highness." I said, sitting up on the couch.

"It is alright. We will now get to the matters." King Adelouis said.

"Yes, Your Highness. Father said it was something important." I said.

"Yes. It is about your face." The King said.

I gulped.

"Her face?" Lindon asked.

"Yes." The King said.

"Since you know it, Your Highness, I won't hide it anymore." I said.

I closed my eyes and sighed.

When I opened my eyes, two pairs of eyes were looking at my face with utter curiosity.

"Wh-what is the matter?" I asked, confused.

"Nothing. We are just interested." The King said.

"Oh." I said.

"Actually, my face is quite fine. But the reason I hid it, had reasons. One was that, whoever had pushed me to the pond, to know that it had done me quite an injury.

Which will also lower their guard, which will work in my favor. I also had to cover my face because I was taking medicines. So, in case anyone asks, I can tell that I have been applying medicine, which is not a lie.

Along with that, there were personal reasons too. But, if my calculations are right, the culprit, will unmask my face, for my popularity to decrease during this period of time." I said.

Then when I looked around, I was greeted with two pairs of eyes, looking at me with curiosity again.

"What is the matter now?" I asked.

"Nothing. I just didn't know that you were so calculated." Lindon said.

I smiled.

"To survive in the midst of sly foxes, you have to become one." I said.

"Makes complete sense." Lindon said.

"But Your Highness, why did you ask me these?" I asked.

"There is a reason." The King said.

"Then Lady Aesther, I will accompany you to the exit." Lindon said.

I got up.

Suddenly I felt a throbbing pain in my head and stomach. My body automatically went down onto the couch.

"You alright?" Lindon came near to me and held me properly.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. I am fine." I said, waving off.

"See, this is why I was telling that I will help you." Lindon said.

"Yeah. Agree with him. It is not wrong to ask for his help when you need it." The King said.

"Yes, Your Highness." I said and bowed.

"Yeesh, these people of Aesther House." The King said, shaking his head.

"Then, may I?" Lindon asked me, with his hand stretched out.

I smiled and accepted it.

"Thank You." I said.

He then helped me walk out of the King's Study room.

We walked through the corridors, a path I was very familiar with and to a very familiar place.

"Are we heading towards the Diamond Garden?" I asked.

The Diamond garden is one of the famous garden, not only in the country, but in the world.

It is a habitat, to one of the rarest flowers, Diphylleia, a kind of translucent flower, better known as skeleton flowers.

Because of its translucency, it is being called the Diamond Flower, which gives the garden its name, the Diamond Garden.

Well, years before, this same soil was considered a waste land, because it wouldn't grow any other plant.

Would have the people taught that this same land would become the world famous Diamond Garden.

Well, as to how it was discovered, let us just say, accidents leads to great breakthroughs.

"Seems like you know it well." Lindon said.

"My Mother and I used to come here a lot." I said.

"Ah, of course, you are Aesthers." Lindon said.

That is, another thing.

The discovery was actually made by a little boy, who wanted to hide this precious little flower from his friends.

When he looked around, he saw this wasteland. He knew that his friends would never check a wasteland. So, he hid it there.

But back then, Diphylleia's, importance was 100 times more. So because he lost that flower, he was confined into house arrest, for a year.

Nobody knew of the diamond growing in the wasteland. And the only one who knew that was confined.

After his confinement, he went to see his flower.

And to his astonishment, a beautiful flower grew up, in the corner of the wasteland. Just like how a moon will stand out, in a star-less dark sky.

And that was just the beginning, of the growth of the Aesther family.

Yes, the kid, was the legendary Grand-Master of the Aesther family, Arendel Aesther.

Actually, the family name was different before. Almost nobody knows it. What a pitiable people. (Not knowing that even she belongs in that group.)

The name Aesther was given because of the name of the seed of the Diphylleia, was Sethere, which is the anagram of Aesther.

And thus, the Aesther family was established.

"Yeah, Aesthers." I said.

"Aren't you asking me, why am I taking you there?" He asked.

"Well, you don't need a specific reason to go to the Diamond Garden. Or any garden. Simply admiring the flowers is enough." I said, as we got inside the Diamond Garden.

"But," I didn't stop.

"But?" He asked.

"Since you asked me, there must be a special reason." I said, grinning to his face.

"Ah, it is true." He said.

"So, what is it?" I asked.

"It is indeed admiring." He said.

"And?" I asked.

"But only I will be admire." He said.

"What? You will blindfold me?" I asked.

"Well, you will be blinded, but not with a cloth." He said.

"I am not catching up with you." I said, shaking my head.

"You, are going to be admired." He said.

"Oh-WHAT?!" I asked.

"And first," He said, and faced me.

He then suddenly, pushed me to a tree trunk.

"May this goddess please remove that veil so that a lowly crown prince can admire your beauty?" He asked, caving in, making sure that he blocked me with both of his hands.

I was speechless. Heat and Desire was literally burning up my body. I so badly wanted to move my fixed hands and carrass his face.

"I will take your quietness as yes." He said.

He then untied the knot of the veil, and it was led down loose.

His yes was fixed on my face.

And then everything was sudden.

His lips crashed into mine. And mine, going in a perfect sinc with his. With giving and taking our desires.

And the restrained beast in us, was unshackled.

Everything was going in perfect harmony, until-

"Sir Lin! Lady Aesther!" We heard someone calling for us.

Great! Just Great!
