KANTO FIRE-TYPE STARTER; CHARMANDER THE ABANDONED POKÉMON AND FRIENDS

Today our heroes seem to have once again lost their way on the path to Vermillion City where ash will earn her third Kanto Gym Badge.

"That's it! This is ridiculous!" Mairin threw her hands up in frustration.

"Pika Pi." pikachu sweat dropped.

"Luxray Lux Luxray. " The newly Luxray snorted.

Chespie hang his head down in fail, "Chespie. " He said, all the sudden.

"Hey ash-nee-Chan, we should find a Pokémon Centre soon." mairin said.

ash sweat dropped and looked up the map on her PokéNav Plus, she moved the map around till she saw a red 'P' indicating a Pokémon Centre is nearby. "Oh, we seem to be in the middle of nowhere." She said, "But Route 24 will take us to Vermillion City and it seems we're on the right path for it."

Mairin perked up and smiled, "Yay! Let's get going!" She exclaimed, then she saw a dark shadow walking towards them, "Ahhhhhh!" She screeched.

"What now?" Alain asked, why his little sister screamed all the sudden.

Brock saw the shadow walking closer, "Who's that?" He asked.

As the shadow was close enough, ash recognized it immediately, a orange lizard-like Pokémon with a flame on the tip of its tail.

"Its a Charmander." mairin said, surprised seeing one in the middle of nowhere.

Alain narrowed his blue eyes at the flame of its tail, 'Something's wrong.' He thought.

ash notice the same thing, she scanned the Pokémon.

[Charmander, the Lizard Pokémon. The Fire on the top of its tail is a measure of its life. If healthy, its tail burns intensely. If not, its tail burns lightly.]

"Wait, why is the flame on its tail so small?" mairin asked, looking back and forth at the image of Charmander flame. "So different."

"Wha-" ash immediately walked towards it, "Hey." She saw all the bruise and cuts it had on its body.

Charmander looked up exhausted, he looked at the group, sensing a kind aura from them, it raised its paw at ash, "Char Charmander. Charmander..." He manage to say before passing out.

"H-Hey!" ash shouted and caught Charmander, before he collapsed towards the ground.

Brock looked at the injuries of the Charmander and he cursed inside his head, "We need to get this Charmander to the Pokémon Centre and fast!" He exclaimed.

"Let's go!" ash shouted and ran down the path, towards the Pokémon Centre, carrying Charmander in her arm.

Brock and Alain followed, quickly.

Luxray allowed kid and her Pokémon onto his back and took off, following his trainer.

[Break Scene]

As the gang arrived at the Pokémon Centre, ash immediately ran to Nurse Joy.

"Nurse Joy! Charmander! Needs help now!" ash managed to say, panting and breathing hard.

Nurse Joy took one look and gasped, she quickly took Charmander and wondered if this Charmander belong to 'him'.

Luxray allowed the kid off his back, she collapsed into the sofa.

ash looked at the operation room, her eyes filled with worry and afraid, of what she heard and saw from Charmander.

"Ash -Nee-chan." mairin called out.

"Yes."

"what happened to him" mairin asked "I don't know but he said a few words before collapsing" said ash

"Words?" Brock questioned.

ash bit her bottom lip, "Before Charmander collapse. He manage to say 'Please save, them. From Damian'." She repeated.

"Damian, huh? He must've been his trainer." Alain said, "Save them?... I see."

"What is it brother?" Mairin asked.

"That Charmander wasn't the only one, been injured and exhausted like this. I have a feeling that this Damian Trainer must've been abusing his Pokémon." Alain explained.

"No way!" Mairin gasped.

Brock nodded, "Makes sense."

Luxray growled, "Luxray Lux Lux. " He snarled, he hates human like that.

"Pika Pikapi Pikachu." pikachu smooth.

"by the why Ashley how did you know that Charmander said that? "ask brock

"oh I learned it from Lucario" said ash "hhmnm ok" said brock

ash swore and took out her Holo Caster, "I'll be back. I need to make a call. If Nurse Joy has the result, call me." She went outside.

Luxray and pikachu followed behind.

"Who is ash calling?" Brock asked.

"There is only one person I know, who can help out in this." mairin answered, "And, you'll have to see for yourself who." she added before they could ask questions.

[Break Scene]

With Nurse Joy and her Pokémon were currently trying to stabilise Charmander's breathing and health.

"Poor Charmander..." Nurse Joy said sadly, looking at it.

Chansey looked sadly at the Pokémon as well.

[Break Scene]

As ash was outside, she called a family member, who was part of an organization. "Come on, come on. Uncle Lance pick up." She muttered.

{"Hello, ash."} Lance voice was heard.

"Yes! Uncle Lance I need your help." ash said, urgently.

Lance became alarmed, {"What? What's wrong"}

"I need you to look up someone named Damian who is a Pokémon Trainer and received a Charmander as his Pokémon."

{"Okay, but tell me why exactly?"}

ash sighs and brush her hair bangs to the side, "I found a really injured Charmander, what's worst was the the flame on his tail was so small. Before Charmander collapsed, he said; "Please, save them. From Damian". She answered. "I have a feeling that this Damian guy is abusing his Pokémon."

Lance cursed on the other side, he hates Trainers like this, {"Give me a second... Found him, the only who fits that. His full name is Damian Daisuke. According this is, he does have a Charmander... *He cursed even more* It seems like G-Men are actually looking for him too."} He answered.

"Oh." ash  looked through the window of the Pokémon Centre and saw someone with a bad attitude instantly. "What does he look like?" She asked all the sudden.

{"Blue hair and black eyes with a circular glass preached on his head, from the image and his wearing sort of cowboy style."} Lance explained.

"I think I found him, his at the Pokémon Centre where Charmander is being treated right now."

Luxray and pikachu perched on the window and looked through it, they both snarled at the arrogant face trainer.

From the sound, ash can tell that Lance got up from his desk or whatever he was doing, {"Excellent. I'll be there with Officer Jenny, press the tracker on the Holo Caster and I'll see you soon."} He said.

"Okay, bye." ash hung up, she press a button on the Holo Caster, making it a tracker for her Uncle to track her location, "Hopes this helps him and them."

"Pika Pikachu Pi. (Charmander, friends?)" pikachu questioned.

"That's right."

"Luxray Lux. (We will.)" Luxray said.

"Yeah." ash went back inside with her Pokémon following.

[Break Scene]

mairin saw her sister like to enter the Pokémon Centre, she must've finished her call to her uncle. "ash-Nee-chan." She said, catching the others.

Nurse Joy also just exited out of the room, "Good, you still here." She smiled, it nice to see trainers like them.

ash immediately looked at Nurse Joy, "How is Charmander?" She asked, first.

Nurse Joy smiled, "Charmander's stable now and its flame is healthy again and some of its bruises and cuts have almost been healed but it needs a good rest." She answered.

The gang breathe in relief, about the good news.

"What a relief..." Mairin sighs, "But what happened?"

Nurse Joy face suddenly turned dark, "About that..."

"Hahahahaha!" Laughter was heard from a group of boys in the lounge room, cutting Nurse Joy off.

"Oh man, Damian that's too funny!" One of the boys laughed.

"I know right!?!" A blued hair boy with sunglasses on top of his head and wearing a cowboy-like clothing, named Damian laughed, "I got rare Pokémon now so I don't need that worthless pathetic weak Charmander. It's probably dead anyway! Hahaha!"

Everyone heard what the boy said and was disgusted how can someone say such awful things and then laugh about it, it's was so low.

"..."

"Lux... ray..." luxray growled at the boy as electric static started to appear.

"That bastard!" Brock growled.

"So he's responsible for Charmander's injures and state!" Alain glared at the boy.

ash walked over to Damian slowly and when she finally reached him, she grabbed the arrogant boy by the collar and punched him so hard that his nose broke and it was bleeding.

"Hey, man what's your problem!" One of boys asked.

Another boy was about to grab ash but pikachu and luxray growled at him with sparks around them, challenging him to lay a finger on their trainer.

The boys were smart enough to back down, seeing how serious the both electric Pokémon was.

Damian looked pathetic holding his bleeding nose but manage to speak, "What the hell is your problem?!" He yelled but force when he saw the cold look in ash eyes, but the most frightening thing was that the indigo-black teenage face was so... so calm.

"How dare you? You pathetic excuse of a Pokémon Trainer." ash growled, she glared at Damian, "Do you know have any idea how close Charmander was to death? Not only did you almost beat him half to death but you have actually have the gut to laugh about it like it was nothing wrong." Her eyes seem to glow a bluish green colour.

Damian whimpered, at the site of her dangerous glare.

"Ashley" A voice called out.

ash snapped out of it, as her eyes turned back to black-brown eyes, she blinked twice before looking at the voice, "... Alain..." She said.

Alain grabbed her arm and pulled her away from the scared blue haired boy, who instantly collapsed. He immediately pulled her into a hugged, calming her down.

ash sighs and hugged him back, she breathe into his shirt.

[ I totally suck at this romance moments, for some reason I started to giggled when I type this moment down~ Odd huh?]

Mairin looked at them and giggled silently, even if the atmosphere was like this, she couldn't help it really.

Brock smirked, silently at the affection.

Everyone sighs in relief including Nurse Joy, the girl was too kind to feel hatred even though she understood why she hit the despicable boy.

Nurse Joy approached the fallen boy with her Chansey behind her an angry expression on their face, "I suggest you don't try to escape because I'm informing Officer Jenny right now!" Also I'll be hold of the Pokémon you brought in with you, if you try to escape I will not heasitate to have my Chansey put you to sleep with Sing! And that's a promise!" She growled out.

"Chan Chansey! (Try it boy!)" The Nurse Pokémon threatened cracking her knuckles.

Despite the seriously air in the atmosphere the others couldn't help but sweat drop at the the rough and tough Chansey.

Guess not all Chansey's are docile.

Mairin laughed at it, "Hahahahaha! Yeah, you show them!" She cheered on.

ash giggled and turned around, "Never underestimate a Pokémon no matter how you see and how you've heard about them." She whispered, "Because a nice and kind Pokémon is also a tough and rough Pokémon."

chansey smirked, "Chansey. (That's right.)

Everyone nodded and made mental note.

[Break Scene]

During the incident and as promise Nurse Joy kept all Damian's Pokémon and boy did he have a lot! He had over 25 Pokeball!

[ Apparently Damian had that much Pokéballs in the anime.]

Trainers are allowed to buy more Pokéballs from the PokéMart provided they send some of the Pokéballs back to their assigned Professors so their Pokémon can relaxed.

Turns out that Damian wasn't doing that according to the scans and results that Nurse Joy gathered, all his Pokémon showed signs of force battling, meaning he forced his Pokémon to keep battling even though they needed medical treatment.

Charmander has woken up and immediately taken a liken to ash, he also growled at everyone expect for her and Alain, apparently he smelt a Charizard scent on him.

Nurse Joy asked the gang to stay longer, so they can adopt the Pokémon Damian had which they agreed to, immediately. Its better than releasing into them the wild.

Soon Officer Jenny arrived but she wasn't alone, Lance Wataru the Johto Region Champion also arrived.

"Uncle Lance!" ash exclaimed, shocking the whole group of people there expect mairin

"Well, that was surprising." Brock said, surprised how his friends was related to Johto Champion.

Lance laughed and hugged his niece  "Nice to see you again." He said.

"Pikapi!" pikachu exclaimed.

"Hahaha, nice to see you as well pikachu." Lance chuckled, in greet.

They rest of the gang introduced themselves to Lance and he notice how close his niece and Alain was, he snorted inside his head. He didn't mind his niece dating at her age but he must approve of them along with Riley and he has to admit his impress with the kid aura.

"Thanks for coming." Nurse Joy bowed a bit. "Also you too Lance, though it was surprising and unexpected."

The Kanto officer waved her hand dismissively, "Don't even worry about it trust me, I'm not that busy." She said.

"Of course, my niece call me after hearing Charmander's cry, to be honest the G-Men are actually looking for this kid." Lance glared at the blue haired boy. "But it seems like he never stays in one place."

Damian flinched and paled, an organization was actually looking for him.

"G-Men? What's that?" Mairin asked, curiously.

"G-Men is a detective unit, the main purpose is to travel the countryside, investigating and arresting anyone who improperly treats Pokémon. Like Damian Daisuke treated his Pokémon, its a crime." Lance explained.

"Yep and Uncle Lance is part of it." ash chirped, happily.

"Wait, so that call was-" Brock said.

ash nodded, "Yeah, I called Uncle Lance for this reason." She said.

Nurse Joy smiled, "Thank you and also I'm about to release the Pokémon that Damian had, but the ones with the question marks are Pokémon I haven't seen before so I'll release them last." She explained.

"Okay." Everyone nodded.

Nurse Joy released them all expect the ones with question marks on them.

Damian captured some interesting, rare, unique and hard to capture Pokémon;

"...What?" Mairin eyes widen, in shock. "He caught all of these." mairin said eyes widen.

"Makes you wonder where he got them from, you know. He couldn't have caught all these Pokémon, even if he did travel to the Region." Brock stated.

"That's not all, some of these Pokémon must have enough affection to evolve like Lopunny here." ash said. "And I doubt, he would do that."

"Your right." Alain looked at them all, "Half of these Pokémon here are fully evolved for a purpose."

Nurse Joy nodded, "That's right." She glared at Damian, "I'm very curious to know how you've obtained these Pokémon."

Damian scoffed and looked away, "Like I'll tell you all." He said.

Charmander growled and sent a Flamethrower at the boys face surprising everyone even Damian himself.

"Luxray. (He deserved that.)" luxray snorted.

pikachu nodded, "Pika."

"Nice." Lance chuckled.

"Hm, so you know Flamethrower huh?" ash smirked, "Good job by the way." She complimented.

"Char! (Thanks)" The lizard Pokémon smiled.

"I still won't tell you." Damian repeated stubbornly scoffed.

"Oh I see, Luxray how about you assist Charmander in the next attack." ash smirked.

Luxray smirked, "Luxray. (With pleasure.)" He has static around him ready.

The blue haired boy gulped when he saw the lion Pokémon ready to assist the lizard Pokémon, "Alright! Alright, I'll talk! I got most of them from trade, okay!" Damian spoke.

Nurse Joy eyes narrowed, "What about these three starter Pokémon?" She held up three Pokeball and released them all.

"Pip Piplup?" The blue penguin Pokémon said.

"Chimchar?" The fire monkey said.

"Tur Turtwig Tur?" The green turtle said.

"Wha!" ash gasped.

"Those are-" Brock started, shocked.

"Sinnoh Region Starter Pokémon." Lance finished, surprise.

"Seriously." Mairin eyes widen.

"Where did you get them?" Lance demanded. "I seriously doubt that you've gotten them through trade."

The blue haired boy gulped, "I bought them of some trainers who didn't want them, not too long ago." He said.

"Now..." Nurse Joy faced all the Pokémon gathered and smiled kindly, "You all have nothing to fear."

Everyone Pokémon looked at the Nurse healer in question and confused.

"These trainers will be taking care of you from now on." Nurse Joy continued.

All the Pokémon looked at the trainers and noticed that Charmander standing loyally next to the indigo-black haired teen, the looked in the eyes of the trainer eyes told them that this trainer was responsible for saving the Fire-type life.

"You can trust them, Charmander as already made it clearly that ash is to be his new trainer so that means the rest of you can choose who you want to go with." Nurse Joy finished.

They looked at Charmander, to see if its true that they can choose.

"Char Charmander Char. (Go ahead and choose who you want to be with.)" The lizard nodded, confirming that the trainers would let them to choose who they want to go with.

Leafeon, Turtwig, Lopunny and Azumarill went to Mairin, who smiled immediately but stood still. Leafeon nuzzled her leg, Turtwig rubbed the other one, while Azurmarill and Loppuny nodded towards her.

"Thanks." Mairin said, "I promise to take care of you."

"Chespin Ches. (Welcome to the family.)" Chespie said, smiling at the new members.

"Leaf Leafeon." The verdant Pokémon smiled for the first time.

"Turtwig!" The tiny leaf Pokémon smiled.

"Azu Azumarill." The aqua rabbit Pokémon smiled and nodded.

"Loppuny." The rabbit Pokémon patted the little girl head gently, "Loppuny Lop."

ash looked, "Mai, has a thing for Grass-types." she said.

Alain chuckled, it was true and she has most Grass-type Pokémon in the group.

Nurse Joy turned to the others, "Now, don't be shy. Go to the ones you all want to go." She assured them.

They didn't need to be told twice they all walked to the trainers they felt bet suited for them.

Rhyhorn, Machoke and Sandslash went to Brock, the Breeder immediately started checking them to make sure they were healthy which touched them. Rhyhorn has tears in it's eyes and tackle the breeder to the ground nuzzling him in appreciation, which made Brock and the the others laugh.

Alain got Scizor, Electabuzz, Skarmony, the Male Meowstic and Piplup, they all sense a strong aura coming from him and a strong bond with one of his Pokémon.

And finally; Gothita, Female Meowstic, Ninetales, Gallade, Gardevoir,  Growlithe, Eevee , Rapidash, and Chimchar went to ash, seeing how she saved their friend from the monster; Damian. Apparently like her Lucario's, Gallade and Gardevoir are twins; born from the same egg.

All went to trainers expect for Roserade and Delibird who stood back and watched.

"Oh, what's wrong with them?" Mairin asked.

Lance thought for second and got the answer, "My guess is that they don't want to battle. They were force to battle thanks to Damian, but they natural wish is not battling." He answered.

Roserade and Delibird nodded, agreeing with the Johto Champion words.

mairin nodded and thought, "Do you think your aunt would like them?" she asked, suddenly.

ash hummed, "Not a bad thought. aunt, could use the extra help and hand on delivery." She said.

Lance chuckled, "Makes sense, knowing my sister-like she would. Also it will be easier too." He agreed.

[Cynthia is Lance older sister like (I made it so don't get idea of them siblings ]

"What?" brock questioned.

ash walked towards the two Pokémon, "Okay, I know you guys don't like to battle but how about helping out my aunt ?" She said.

"Delibird? / Roserade?" They questioned.

"My aunt owns a big garden you see and see did say that she need some help with the gardens, delivery and home. You two would be perfect for the job, so what do you say?" ash asked.

Roserade perked up at the word 'garden', Delibird looked up at 'delivery' and 'home', where they can relax and rest.

They nodded and agreed.

"Okay, that's settle." Lance pulled out two Pokéballs and tapped each, "I'll call your aunt and explain the situation."

"Alright." ash nodded.

"That's settled now." Officer Jenny said.

Nurse Joy nodded, she held out three more that had the question marks on them, "Now these Pokémon aren't registered in the Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova or Kalos... So I'm afraid I don't know where he got them from."

"We might know." Mairin said.

"Alright then, here they are." Nurse Joy released all of the unknown Pokémon from there Pokéballs.

"Vul~~" A white colour Vulpix yawned, blinked around looking at the humans with its blue eyes.

"Zzzzz..." A koloa-like Pokémon continued to sleep.

"Togedemaru!" The small round grey-yellow Pokémon looked around.

"No way!" The gang and champion said, shocked.

"Where are they from?" Officer Jenny asked.

lance eyes widen at them all, "Alola, their all Alola Region Pokémons." He said.

Officer Jenny and Nurse Joy gasped, "Are you sure?" They both asked, they heard of the new region but not the Pokémon.

ashscanned the white colour Vulpix.

[Vulpix, Alola Form. The Fox Pokémons. Vulpix is covered in white fur and was discovered on Mount Lanakila. Its breath can reach a temperature of 60 below zero, freezing anything it touches.

Note: This Alola Form Vulpix is an Ice-type.

"Aww~ So pretty." Mairin cooed and froze, "That's freezing." she stated. "Pretty, but scary."

"Its good to have around when the temperature is boiling." Brock joked.

pikachu walked towards the Alola Vulpix, "Pika. (Hello)" She waved.

"Vul Vulpix~" Alola Vulpix smiled and nuzzled the electric Pokémon.

pikachu yelped, "Pikachu. (Freezing.)" She shivered.

Yuna laughed at the joke and scanned the sleeping koala-like Pokémon.

[Komala, the Drowsing Pokémon. The log it clings to is a gift from its earliest days. Its is said that Komala's behaviour comes from a dream that it having

"Wow, always asleep. Funny..." Mairin giggled.

"What's Comatose?" mairin asked, curiously. she never heard of that ability before.

"Comatose is an ability that's only available to Komala here." Lance pointed to the Pokémon, "Its always drowsing and will never wake up, it can attack without waking up." He explained.

"Similar to Sleep Talk attack." Alain added.

"Oh." Mairin nodded, understanding it now.

"Who's the next one, its so round and cute." Mairin pointed to the Pokémon.

ash scanned the last Alola Pokémon.

[Togedemaru, the Roly-Poly Pokémon. When happy, it forms a ball and rolls around. But once starts to rolling, it can't stop itself.

Note: Its ability to generate electricity is weak, but its long tail needle acts as a lightning rod, so it can attract lightning and store the electricity.

Second Note: Togedemaru are found in the Alola Region.]

mairin laughed, "How funny and cool ability." she said.

"Toge! Togedemaru! (Why! Thank you!)" The roly-poly Pokémon jumped up and down.

"Though if Damian said that he obtain the Sinnoh Starters by buying them, these three must be the same and the Alola Vulpix looks young." Lance stated, looking at them.

Nurse Joy nodded, "Your right. That Vulpix is only a two days old, its just been hatched and the good news that it hasn't been in battles yet." She explained.

"When did you receive the Alola Pokémon?" Officer Jenny asked. "And how?"

"..." Damian refused to meet and answer Officer Jenny.

Both male and female Meowstic looked at each other and nodded, their eyes glowed blue.

A blue outline lifted the arrogant teen in the air, flipping him upside down.

"W-What's going on?!" Damian yelled in fear.

Both ash and Alain turned to their Meowstic and saw them.

"Are you two doing this?" ash asked.

"Meowstic." Both Meowstic nodded.

Brock smiled, "Seems like they are not afraid of Damian anymore." He commented.

"I suggest you answer the question otherwise the Meowstic's will probably-no will drop you." Officer Jenny threatened.

Damian gulped, "Alright! Alright! I got them from this guy who was also selling them all for a high price and he told me that they were rare! I got most of the money from winning tournaments, so I had a lot and I brought them of him! Just like the Sinnoh Pokémon." He explained, quickly.

Both Meowstic dropped the boy down when he answered, with a loud 'THUD' making Mairin laugh.

Nurse Joy in horror, "How could you do such a horrible thing!" She exclaimed.

"Disgraceful." Brock scowled at the boy in anger.

"Unbelievable."ash and Alain muttered.

Jerk!" Mairin shouted.

Lance glared at the boy in disgust, he just admitted to them that he got them from Pokémon Poachers and instead of turning them in, he just bought the Pokémon that they stole.

"I think we heard enough." Officer Jenny said, looking at the boy in disgust.

Lance nodded and grabbed the boy by his arm, pulling him up, "Pokémon and their trainers are partners hat bond and work together as a team, they are not tools, punching bags, or something to be easy sell and bought." He stated.

"Damian Daisuke! You are hereby under arrest! The charges are Pokémon abuse, neglect and stealing!" Officer Jenny announced the charges.

"Also your trainers license is hereby revoked and you will serve jail time for buying Pokémons from poachers!" Lance continued.

Damian sweated and paled, he wasn't expecting this or he'd get arrested, brought up charges and let alone go to jail.

Lance turned back to the gang, "I'll be taking him with Officer Jenny to jail." He said, "Take care ash. It was nice meeting you all and take care now." He yanked the boy and they started walking out with Officer Jenny on the other side holding him.

"Bye." The gang said.

Mairin crossed her arms, "Serves him right for abusing and buying Pokémon of a poacher." She said.

"Ah~ So cool." They turned to ash who had the Alola Vulpix in her arms, she gently rubbed its head.

Alola Vulpix purred in happiness, she was just a newborn and the owner was mean.

"Ah!" mairin yelped when Togedemaru jumped into her head and when Komala rolled over to her leg.

"Wow..." brock sweat dropped, its amazing how the drowsing Pokémon did that.

"Hahaha, looks like Vulpix, decide to got with ash and Togedemaru and Komala decide to go with mairin." Brock commented.

As the gang got new Pokémon and introducing them to the other they have, they decide to remind one more day before leaving tomorrow.

[Break Scene]
