LAVENDER TOWN; MYSTERY OF A GHOST?

After earning the Marsh badge, our heroes travelled their way to Lavender Town.

"Why do you want to stop at Lavender Town?" Brock asked.

"Well I wanted to say 'hello' to an old friend that lives here." ash replied.

"Hey isn't Lavender Town where Ghost Pokémon are found also?" Brock asked.

Alain nodded, "Yeah it is."

Mairin froze, "Ghost..."

When the gang reached Lavender Town, it seem a bit spooky especially with the quiet sound and a deep mist was rolling in.

"Hey ash nee chan does Lavender Town usually look like this?" Mairin asked, she was spooked out of the fog.

"To be honest, it does it quite misty here, I been here a couple of time with our aunt cynthai , but usually the mist only rolls in at night time." ash answered, "Something doesn't feel right."

[Break Scene]

ash lead, Alain, Mairin and Brock to their friend house.

ash's old friend was a boy, four years older than her; named Ken.

Ken has dark brown hair and dark green eyes, he wore a simple plain dark red shirt with black shorts with a pair of black sneakers.

"Hiya Ken!" ash greeted.

"Well well, if it isn't 'ketchup', and I see pikachu as well." Ken greeted back with a hug from ash

"Pika! (Hello!)" pikachu smiled.

ash introduced Alain, Mairin and Brock to Ken.

"Nice to meet you all." Ken said.

"Hey Ken, what's with all the mist outside? Isn't it a bit too early for the mist to start rolling in?" ash asked.

Ken sighs, "Your right mew, it is early, since the mists only starts rolling when its almost night." He said, "But I think I know what's going on." He got up and headed to the door, "Follow me, I'll show you."

The gang got up and followed Ken.

[Break Scene]

As the gang followed Ken, he lead them to a tower that looked like a monster.

"Ah, this is Lavender Tower, if I remember most Ghost Pokémon lives here." ash said.

"Yes and this is the place is the source of where the mist is coming from." Ken revealed.

"What? Why is that?" Alain asked, curious.

Ken sighs, "I'll tell you. The truth is a ghost seems to be haunting the place." He replied.

"A ghost?!" Mairin yelped, because it was a real one from the tone of his voice.

"Oh man." brock said.

"Please explain why?" ash almost begged, she can't deal with real ghost, if its a Ghost Pokémon she can handle.

Ken laughed a bit, he knows ash is bad with ghost, "You see a few months ago, some Team Rocket grunts came here to take all the Pokémon from this tower." He explained.

"Did they manage to succeed?" Brock asked.

"Good news is that they didn't." Ken answered, then his face turned sad, "But the bad news is that they actually killed two Pokémon."

"WHAT!!" The gang exclaimed, horrified.

"Whose the Pokémons they kill?" Alain asked.

"Its a pair of Chandelure." Ken answered, "They sacrifice their life to get rid of Team Rocket grunts."

"A Chandelure?" ash questioned and looked up the Pokémon on her Pokédex.

[Chandelure, the Luring Pokémon. Chandelure uses its dancing flames to hypnotize opponents.

Notes: When a Lampent is given a Dusk Stone it can evolve into a Chandelure.]

ash paled, Chandelure are the final evolved form of Litwick and Litwick information scares the heck out off her.

"Oi ash nee-chan? You okay?" mairin asked, seeing her sister like face paling.

"... I'm fine... I'll tell you later." ash snapped out of it.

"Okay, but please tell me they are in jail." Mairin hope.

Ken nodded, "Don't worry they are, but ever since that incident, the pair of Chandelure's spirits still haunts the tower and the Gastly, Haunter and Gengar are there also, haunting the place.

ash looked back at the tower, she pulled out a red crystal marble, she then used a bit of Psychic, she looked through it and saw a silhouette of a Pokémon, 'Huh? What was that?' She thought, blinking.

"Saw anything?" Ken asked, he knows about ash's Psychic powers.

"Well... A silhouette of a Pokémon not sure, but I get that the feeling that, the Pokémon might be the reason that the Chandelure's are still here." ash answered.

"I see, so that means we need to check out the tower at night, though." Alain said.

"I agree and since Ghost Pokémon only reveal themselves at night." Ken said.

"I'll stay back." Brock offered, "No offence, but this isn't my thing."

Mairin was quick to agree, "I agree, I'll stay too."

"Okay." ash said.

[Break Scene]

And so when night arrived, ash, Alain and Ken headed towards Lavender Tower.

A full moon was out and mists were everywhere, it was so thick that they had to be careful where they were walking.

Alain and Ken, carefully opened the front door of Lavender Tower and they entered it with ash behind them.

Inside was very dark, quiet and not a soul to be seen.

Ken turned to Alain and ash, "Okay, as Lavender Tower is very big. I suggest we split up."

ash looked at her friend, "Ken, you know I can't stand this place right?"

"Yes."

"And you know that I'm being brave coming here and investigating the cause of this, right?"

"Yes."

"Then... Why are you making us split up?!" ash shouted.

Ken smirked, playfully, "Don't worry... Alain here is going with you and being with you." He answered.

"Huh?"

Ken walked on ahead, "Alain, I'm leaving mew in your care." He said. "Also I have your crystal with me still, you can contact me through there."

"Sure." Alain nodded.

ash mouth gaped, "Ken! Unbelievable..."

Alain chuckled at her, "Come on, let's start searching." He started to walked towards the stairs.

ash wined and grabbed onto Alain's back jacket, "I hate this place..."

And so they split up searching different floors; ash and Alain, they checked the fifth, sixth and seventh floors, mostly the top ones and while Ken, checked the first, seconded, third and fourth floors.

ash called out Charmander to help with the light source they need and Charmander used his tail as a torch.

[Break Scene]

As ash and Alain continued to look around, they didn't find anything odd, well expect for a bunch of sheeted furnitures and every mostly covered in dust and cobwebs.

"Now this is getting very strange." Alain commented, looking around. "There is not a single Ghost Pokémon.

"Pika?" pikachu tilted her head.

"Now that you mention it. Ghost Pokémon should be coming out like crazy, when we entered this tower." ash said and searched up some Ghost-type Pokémon that should be in this tower.

[Gastly, the Gas Pokémon. A Pokémon born from poison gases. It defeats even the largest foes by enveloping them in gas.]

[Haunter, the Gas Pokémon. The evolved form of Gaslty. It like to lurk in the dark and tap shoulders with a gaseous hand. Its touch causes endless shuddering.]

[Gengar, the Shadow Ball. The final evolved form of Gaslty. The leer that floats in darkness belongs to a Gengst delighting in casting curses on people.]

"And we didn't see a single one of them." Alain stared, "We should continue."

When ash and Alain reached the seventh floor of the tower, they heard a loud moaning noise and crying.

ash paled.

"This must be it." Alain opened the door on the seventh floor.

And in the middle of the room was a small candle-like Pokémon crying over some old rusty chandelier.

"A Litwick and its crying over..." Alain eyes widen, understanding the situation, "Of course. Those pair of Chandelure that was killed by Team Rocket grunts was the mother and father of this little Litwick."

"Oh..." ash looked at it sadly.

"Pika..." pikachu ears dropped down in sadness.

"Char..." Charmander head dropped down in sadness as well.

ash scanned the candle Pokémon.

[Litwick, the Candle Pokémon. Litwick appears to be helping to guide the way of people by illuminating areas that are darkened, but in reality they are actually leading them into the Ghost World. They feed of the life energy of people and Pokémon and use it as fuel for the flames on their head.]

ash stepped from behind Alain and started to walk towards Litwick, the candle Pokémon heard someone walked and glared at it with tears in its eyes. "Shhh... Its okay Litwick. I'm not going to hurt you." She spoke softy. "Those chandeliers are your parents are they."

Litwick nodded, sadly.

"Its ok I know how you fell I also lost mine " ash said

Alain shook his head, even if ash is scared, Pokémon always come first and was sad because of her parent.

ash rubbed Litwick face on the side of its cheek, "Everything is going to be okay." She smiled.

Litwick stared at ash, it forgot what its parents love was like, it been so long. The candle Pokémon cried and jumped into her arms and cried even more.

ash was surprised, but soon chuckled and hugged it.

Alain saw three shadows appeared, "So your the ones who messing around with the town mist." He said, "Gastly. Haunter. And Gengar."

Each Ghost-type Pokémon appeared, smiling and nodded.

"You've must've been protecting that young Litwick, ever sight it's parent died, huh."

The three Ghost-type smiled and nodded again.

ash got off the floor, with Litwick in her arms, "So that means, Litwick parents are still here, but they are currently hunting the place."

"Gaslty Gas. (That's right.)" Gastly spoke.

"Haunted Haunt Haunter. (Litwick parents, the Chandelure's are still around in spirit.)" Haunter said.

"Gengar Gen Gengar Gengar. (They are worried about their son and didn't want to leave him alone and helpless.)" Gengar explained.

ash translated for Alain.

"Its makes sense. A parent never what's to leave their child alone, so the Chandelure's stayed behind to protect their son from harm." Alain said.

"I'll contact Ken and tell him to meet us at the first floor." ash said and started to communicate to her red crystal marble, her friend had on him.

"*Okay. I'll meet you at the first floor.*" Ken replied back.

[Break Scene]

So, ash, Alain and the Ghost Pokémon went downstairs to the first floor, meeting up with their friend.

"Ah, that makes more sense why the Chandelure's are still here. Protecting there son from harm." Ken said.

"Litwick..." Litwick was feeling really relaxed in ash's arm.

"So how are we going to help Litwick's parents?" ash asked.

"Don't know, but first we need to find them and ask them." Ken replied.

"Great but first we need to find them." Alain said.

"(We'll help.)" Gastly, Haunter and Gengar said.

"Okay, let-" ash felt a chill down her spine, "The Chandelure's are here."

"What?" Both boys said, confused.

A deep thick chilling mist appeared, surrounding them; Two Chandelure's appeared in front of them with a glowing outline of their body.

"Litwick!" Litwick jumped out of ash's arm and hopped towards his parents.

Both Chandelure's eyed smiled, surrounding him, but soon stopped and they faced ash, then bowed.

"They must be thanking you mew." Ken said.

"Huh?" ash tilted her head, confused.

"For taking care of their son, after all Litwick did kind of became attached to you." Alain said.

"Oh. Your both welcome." ash smiled.

"Chandelure Chan Chandelure. (Thank you and we'll now entrust you with our son.)" The female Chandelure spoke.

"What?" ash couldn't believe that the Chandelure's are entrusting her with their son. She translated to Ken and Alain.

"I'm not surprise with that." Alain said.

Ken nodded, "Same here."

"Chandelure Chandelure Chan Chan. (You must battle us. The only way to free our spirits is to defeat both of us in a Pokémon battle.)" The male Chandelure explained.

"Oh." ash translated to Ken and Alain, once again.

"Alright, we'll do it. Let's go mew!" Ken said.

"Let's put them to rest." ash said.

[Break Scene]

The battle was underway, with ash and Ken on one side and the Chandelure couple on the other side.

Alain, Light, Charmander and the three Ghost Pokémon watch on the side lines with Litwick.

"Poliwag." Ken called out his tadpole Pokémon.

"Poliwag~" It said.

"Eevee, I need your help."ash called out her evolution Pokémon, who has a dual stone around his neck.

"Eevui!" Eevee said ready.

"Poliwag use Bubble." Ken said.

"Eevee Shadow Ball." ash said.

Poliwag blew bubbles from its mouth and Eevee launched two purplish blackish ball at both Chandelure's.

"Chandelure!" Both Chandelure Pokémon cried out as the attack hit them.

"Great, let's keep going. Water Gun!"

"Eevee use Shadow Ball again!"

Both Chandelure dodge the attack and both launched Energy Ball attack.

"Oh man, Poliwag dodge." Ken said, his Pokémon was weak against Grass-type.

"Iron Tail to deflect it!" ash countered.

Poliwag managed to jump out of the way, Eevee tailed glowed and slammed the Energy Ball back.

Everyone notice that mist was rolling in and it was thicker.

"This mist is getting thicker." Alain said, "They better hurry."

"We need to end this now." Ken declared.

"Your right. Eevee lets go!" ash encouraged.

"EEVUI!" Eevee body began to glow, with the Dusk Stone around her neck. Eevee began to evolve but the shape of the Eeveelution didn't match up with any. "Misteon." He said.

"HUH?!" Everyone said.

"Misteeeoonnnn!" Misteon? fired a dark purplish wave at the Chandelure's.

"Chandelure!" Both Chandelure's screeched out pain.

"Litwick!" Litwick shouted, he was upset that his parents are going to be hurt but it needs to be done for their own good.

"Dark Pulse." Alain said, "Must be a Ghost and Water." He examined the Pokémon closely.

Ken snapped out of it, they were in the middle of a serious battle, "Poliwag Beam Bubble!"

"Poliwag!" Poliwag launched thousands of bubbles towards the male Chandelure.

"Misteon use Shadow Claw!" ash guessed an attack.

Misteon dashed towards the female Chandelure and strike it with his Shadow Claw attack.

"Chandelure!!" Both cried out in pain, loudly. "... Chandelure..." They both began to fade away.

Ken and ash won, they defeated the Chandelure's.

"Alright!" Ken and ash high five each other. "We did it!" They cheered

"Poliwag!" Ken's Poliwag smiled, jumping up and down.

"Misteon!" Misteon yipped happily.

"Its over. Litwick parents are finally at peace." Alain said, walking over to them.

"Lit... Litwickkkkkk...!!!" Litwick began to cry and jumped into ash's arm.

"Shhhh, you have a new family now." ash said.

"Lit, Lit... Litwick..." Litwick nodded.

"What about this Pokémon? Erm, Misteon..." Ken looked at ash for an answer.

ash gave a sheepishly smiled and rubbed the back of her head, "I kind of gave a Dusk Stone for Eevee to hold onto, I just kind of followed my instinct." She said, taking off the Dusk Stone that is still around Misteon neck

"So Eevee holding a Dusk Stone can evolved into Misteon?" Ken questioned.

"Mist?" Misteon said.

Alain shook his head, "I don't think that's all, when the mist started to be deep and thick, Eevee evolved levelling up and holding a Dusk Stone. So you must be in this certain environment for Eevee to evolve into a Misteon." He theories.

Misteon nodded, "Misteon!"

ash giggled, "Look likes he agrees with that theory." She said.

The three Ghost-type floated over to ash, Alain and Ken.

"Well you three." Ken looked over to the Ghost Pokémons, "Lavender Tower is all yours again."

The three Ghost Pokémon started to snicker then laughed loudly.

"Pika? (Okay?)" pikachu said.

ash twitched, "I don't like the look or laugh your all making."

Alain sighs, they are up to something mischievously, how he knows because Zorua; the older he grew, he was starting to live to his title given; The tricky fox Pokémon. He's a prankster.

Gastly, Haunter and Gengar looked at each other, grinning like they won something and then each held up, a Pokéball each, well Gastly had on top of his head.

pikachu sniff the Pokéball for a second, "Pika! Pikapi Pika! (Yuna! There your Pokéballs!)" She exclaimed, pointing at them.

"Say what?!" ash held Litwick in one arm, then checked her pockets, finding three missing; she keeps at least five extra Pokéballs in her pocket while the spares go into her bag. "There mine! Hold it!"

"(Bye! See you soon! Fufufu~)" All three Ghost Pokémon said with a wide grin and then tapped each other them, they when it and caught and teleported off to Professor Oak's Lab.

Everyone expect for ash, who was sulking, stared at the spot dumbfounded what happen, unexpected.

"BWAHAHAHAHA!" Ken suddenly burst out laughed, "Hahahaha ha, mew you got now three great Ghost-type Pokémon. Haha Hahahahahaha! And you weren't even trying to catch them! Hahaha!" He choked on his laughter for a second.

"Oh boy." Alain sighs, but he chuckled.

"OH MAN!" ash shouted out.

"HAHAHAHAHAHA!"

"Your laughing too much Ken!"

[Break Scene]

When ash, Alain and Ken got back to Ken's House; they told Brock, Mairin what happened in Lavender Tower.

Mairin jaw dropped, she wanted one but, oh well.

Brock laughed as well, but not much as Ken. But he understood.

"Aw~ How cute. So Litwick's parents entrusted ash nee chan their son?" Mairin asked.

Alain nodded, "Pretty much, ashley was able to calm him down and he was the one that actually jumped into her arms first." He answered.

"That's good. At least Chandelure's doesn't have to worry anymore, peace in heaven for ever." Brock said.

"Well ash nee-chan Litwick is your seconded child. vulpix is your first. What the word...?" mairin thought.

"PokéParent." Brock offered.

mairin snapped his fingers, "That's it! A PokéParent!"

ash blushed, "Yes yes I am."

Suddenly saw five lights glowing from the gang bags.

"Oh no! The egg!" mairin exclaimed.

"There all hatching!" Brock shouted.

"We were kind off joking about PokéParent." Mairin said.

The gang immediately ran towards their bag and took out their Pokémon eggs.

"Amazing, they are hatching at the same time." ash said.

Everyone quietly waited, the egg began to cracked and soon the glowed started to form the shape of the Pokémon.

One by one... the Pokémon revealed themselves.

"Melaa~~" ash mouth gasped. "Purr~~" ash also petted his newly hatched Pokémon.

"Darumaaa!" Alain chuckled at it.

"Aipi Aipom!" Brock smiled at his new Pokémon.

"Ursa Teddiursa..." Mairin squealed at her Pokémon.

"Alain." ash called out.

"Yeah." Alain said.

"Look."

Alain looked and eyed widen in surprise, "A Meloetta." He said.

ash scanned all the newborn Pokémon.

[Meloetta, the Melody Pokémon. According to the artists in Unova. Meloetta's beautiful music and dance inspired many works of art, music and songs.

Note: Meloetta is able to change forms when its used the move Relic Song, which changed her form from Aria Forme (Current) to her Pirouette Forme (image change to Meleotta's other form) or vice versa.

Seconded Note: Meloetta are one of the Legendary Pokémon in Unova Region.]

"What?" Ken said, then looked at Meloetta who is sitting on ash's shoulder, "A Legendary Pokémon."

"Melaa~~" Meleotta a.k.a Utau smiled, ash gave her a name.

[Darumaka, the Zen Charm Pokémon. When asleep, even when pushed or pulled. It cannot be knocked over.

Note: Darumaka are located in the Unova Region.]

"Funny." Mairin smiled.

[Purrloin, the Devious Pokémon. Purrloin fools people into letting their guard down so it can steal their possessions. When angered, it used its claw to fight back.

Note: Purrloin are located in Unova and Kalos Region.]

"Make future notes." Ken said, he does not want to get caught by one.

[Aipom, the Long Tail Pokémon. Aipom is able to climb and hang from branches using its powerful tail. Aipom live atop tall trees.]

Brock smiled, "My siblings will love her." He said.

[Teddiursa, the Little Bear Pokémon. This cute, cuddly Pokémon is easily frightened and frequently licks its paws, which are usually covered by sweet honey.]

"Awww~~ Your just adorable!~" Mairin hugged the little bear Pokémon gently, she does want to squeeze him hard but held back because he is still a newborn.

"Ursa!" Teddiursa smiled and hugged his mother.

The gang loved their Pokémon and introduced each other to the other hatched Pokémon.

And so after spending the night at Ken's House, the gang bid farewell to their friend and left Lavender Town to ash's next gym battle.
