CELADON CITY GYM; POKÉMON SCENTSATION!

Our heroes has been thought a lot before arriving in Celadon City.

First; They find themselves walking a path that continues along the side of a sheer cliff. Apparently it was this time of the year were Butterfree's are celebrating their season of love so they can find there mate.

ash released her Butterfree to get the opportunity of finding or getting a mate.

But they weren't alone, a Pokémon Poacher was in the area also, the poacher discovered he'll gain a lot of money for capturing and selling the Butterfree and he found out that it was a perfect time of the year.

ash's Butterfree never really was bothered till his trainer told him, just give it a try and he agreed.

After wondering around for a while, he saw two male Butterfree ganging up on a PINK? Butterfree, apparently the Pink Butterfree wasn't interested in them and refuse, but they refuse to listen and was about to attack when ash's Butterfree came and defended both Butterfree's attack.

And so after defeating two male Butterfree, he talked to the Pink Butterfree for a while before saying his goodbye and heading back to his trainer.

The Pink Butterfree didn't want the Butterfree that saved her to leave yet, she was actually starting to like him, so she decide she want to meet his trainer.

Which ash's Butterfree was confused but didn't stop her, so he lead her to Yuna and the others who are relaxing and looking after their Pokémon.

The gang looked surprised to see a Pink Butterfree and apparently they found out that the Butterfree was taking a liking to ash's one. Which the Pink Butterfree blushed about and started to fidgeting with her paws.

Everything was going great, when a NET came out of nowhere and captured all the Butterfree!

Two more net came out and tried to capture ash's and the Pink Butterfree but ash's one use Steel Wing to cut the net before it could capture them both.

The Poacher revealed himself as a Butterfree Catcher; who captures and sell Butterfree.

Lucky the Poacher was talking, he didn't notice that mairin was calling Officer Jenny and explaining the situation to her.

The gang fight back with their Pokémon and it wasn't long all the Butterfree's were all free from the net. All the Butterfree used String Shot at the Poacher to hold him down.

Soon Officer Jenny arrived and thank them, this Poacher was one of the people she was looking for ever, since the season of Butterfree Mates almost arrived.

ash's Butterfree didn't want to leave his trainer and the Pink Butterfree didn't want to leave with ash one. They both talked to each other for a while; they both decide to mate at Professor Oak's Lab.

ash agreed and sent back Butterfree back to Professor Oak's Lab and warned him about the Butterfree's reason. Not to approach them for a couple of days.

Professor Oak was trilled and excited seeing a Pink Butterfree and he agreed to wait, till their mating days were over. He was still studying about Misteon and gathering information on the Pokémon.

[Break Scene]

Second; On their way to Celadon City, the gang decide to take a rest and have a short break.

And they weren't alone, when a Mankey came out of nowhere and sniffed the rice ball in mairin's hand, it took it and ate it.

mairin pouted, not that she'll admit it, that her food was stolen by a pig monkey Pokémon. Then Mairin thought the Pokémon was cute. Soon it was time to leave, but apparently Mankey didn't want mairin to go and he stole her favorite hat.

The gang expect for mairin just stood there watching how the event might turn out.

Basically mairin felt really weird without her hat , she wanted it back now. So she out called Braviary to help her.

Brock commented good called because Fighting-type are at the disadvantage against a Flying-type.

Both Pokémon began to battle it out and soon Mankey gave up or was defeated and he return back mairin's hat

Mankey apparently wanted to go with mairin, that's way he took her hat and so mairin caught the pig monkey Pokémon.

[Break Scene]

Now our heroes arrived in Celadon City for ash's fifth gym badge, they are currently on a break.

Brock and Mairin smelt something nice and sniffed the air.

ash and Alain sweat dropped at their faces.

"... Erm, what's up with with you two?" ash asked.

Brock and Mairin ignored the questioned and continued to sniff the air, smelling a nice fragrance, not too far from where they were standing.

"Perfume..." Brock said, "And lovely ones too."

Mairin nodded, "Smells lovely..." She said, "I want to check it out. Can we?"

pikachu sniffed the air, "Pikapi Pikachu Pika. (A perfume store must be near by.)" She said.

ash shrugged her shoulders, "Sure..." She said.

Mairin beamed, "Yeah!"

The gang headed towards the perfume store that had a strong scent coming from it.

mairin sniff the air for a second, "Wow, lovely and strong fragrance."

ash smiled, "That's right."

"Yeah!"  Brock rushed inside, fast.

Alain sweat dropped a bit, "And he they go." He looked at ash, "Your not going?"

ash frowned, "To be honest I have nothing against perfume... its just that. I honestly have no idea why girls are crazy over them, but everyone has something they like." She smiled. "Mairin has more sense then me in this stuff."

ash continued  "aunt explained to me before about the reason why, but I still didn't get it still." she said

Alain did a small smile, "Didn't you tell us that your aunt birthday is coming up?" He asked.

ash blink and gasped, "Ah!"

" maybe we can get her something from the perfume store." ash suggested.

alain nodded, "Yeah." he agreed.

So ash and Alain entered the Perfume Store, they saw Mairin trying different perfume and Brock was looking at them carefully, trying to find the right one for his mother, as a gift telling the family his been so far.

ash looked along the selves, seeing all the different type and smell of perfumes.

ash sweat dropped, "I should get some help . I'm completely clueless about this."

Alain chuckled at her.

"Maybe I can help you?" A voice spoke from behind them.

?! ash jumped a bit and in reflex, she grabbed Alain's front shirt.

They turned and saw a woman with green eyes and wearing traditional kimono and hair.

"Oh sorry about that." The woman giggled, "I didn't mean to sneak up on you. I'm the Manager of the Store."

"Oh." ash said, but she didn't let go, "Actually yes." "my aunt's birthday is coming up and we're looking for the right one for her, since she likes perfume."

"And I have no or absolutely no idea about perfumes." ash chimed in. "Even if my aunt explain all this girl stuff to me. I'm me."

The woman giggled once again, its not everyday you meet someone, especially a girl who has no clue about perfume. She looked at ash carefully and could tell, she was a natural beauty, its no wonder her mother care for her to grow up naturally up to her, and the boy next to her was handsome, they suit each other perfectly.

"I'll be glad to help. First question; what does your aunt like?" The Manager asked.

"Well, loves to cook." ash said, she was daydreaming about the delicious food her aunt makes. " "And Gardening... She also love to tender her garden, when she's free." ash added, happily.

The woman smiled, "I see. Then you'll need a perfume with Garden Scents." She said. "Follow me."

The Manager lead ash, Alain and to the Garden Scents area shelf. "Here, I'll spray one and a time slowly and you two can smell the scent if it the right one for your aunt." She said and grabbed a bottle.

Alain stepped back, he has no problem but he doesn't want to smell like a garden. Hahaha.

One by one; ash sniffed them and after the six spray, it smell really nice and lovely, like their aunt's garden.

"This one!"  Ketchum said happily. "The Wild Flower Garden."

"Its smells really lovely." ash said. "Yeah, like my aunts garden." she added.

The woman smiled and nodded, she took out a extra one not the sample one and took them to the front counter.

The woman at the counter smiled and nodded, she took the box that contain the Wild Flower Garden perfume inside.

"Thank you." The Ketchum smiled and left the store with Alain.

One of the ladies giggled, "I like them, especially the girl."

"So do I, not only she's cute and she's really innocent. I heard her words when she explain about the perfume."

"Yeah, it was so cute. She's clueless about perfume."

"She's a natural beauty. But did you see the tall boy with them, the one with blue eyes, so handsome~ "

"I know! They suited each other so much!!"

"Wonder if they are dating?"

"I hope so!"

"Me too!"

The ladies talked, laughed and giggled, then they all went back to work.

[Break Scene]

When they were outside, ash immediately went towards a post and filled out the information, to send the perfume to her aunt "Hope aunt likes it." ash said.

" Let's head to Celadon Gym." said ash

"Its not far from here." Alain said. 'Where is Brock and Mairin?' He thought, lucky his little sister is with Brock.

[Break Scene]

When ash, Alain  arrived at Celadon Gym, the gym dome shape of a Pokémon.

They entered the gym entrance and inside they saw different flowers and trees everywhere.

"Wow, its like a Greenhouse." ash said.

"Its a Grass-type gym, thought your right about the Greenhouse." Alain said.

ash saw the reception desk in front of them, she walked over to it, "Excuse me. I like the challenge the gym leader for a badge." She said.

The reception lady looked at ash and smiled, "Of course. I'll take you all to Erika now." She said.

"Thank you." ash nodded.

They followed the lady, as she led them to where the gym leader is.

As they followed the lady, they saw more flowers and trees along with Pokémon; Oddish, Gloom and Vileplume, Bellsprout, Weepinbell, Victreebell, Exeggcute, Exeggutor, Tangela, also Bulbasur, Ivysaur and Venusaur.

"Check it out..." ash looked at all the Grass-type Pokémon.

When they arrived, ash and Alain saw Brock and Mairin with the ladies from the perfume store here.

"Erika. This young girl wishes to battle you." The reception lady said.

The blue haired woman, wearing a green and white dress, stood up and turned around, "Welcome."

ash tilted her head, "You look very familiar... Ah, your the lady who help me back at the perfume store." She said.

The woman smiled, "Yes. I'm Erika the gym leader of Celadon gym and I take it your here to challenge me?"

"Yes I am. I'm ashley by the way."

"Well ashley, as the gym leader I accept your challenge." Erika agreed.

[Break Scene]

As ash and Erika at the battle field and on each side of the field.

Everyone; Erika's lady workers, Brock, Alain,  Mairin and the Pokémon were on the side line watching.

"This will be a 3-on-3 gym battle between Erika the Celadon City Gym leader and ashley mew Ketchum from Pallet Town!" Erika's assistant announced, "Whoever knocks out all 3 Pokémon on either side is the winner! The gym leader Erika will call out her Pokémon first. Let the battle begin!"

"Okay. Tangles go!" Erika released a blue Pokémon that is covered in blue thick vines.

"Tangela..." It said.

ash scanned the Pokémon.

[Tangela, the Vine Pokémon. Its body it wrapped in vines. The rest of its form is hidden beneath these vines.]

"Better be careful. Charmander I need your help!" ash called out her lizard Pokémon.

"Charmander!" Charmander said, ready to battle.

"Even though you are using a Fire-type ash, don't think that you have won yet." Erika said, "Tangela use Vine Whip."

"Quick Attack to dodge then use Flamethrower." ash said.

"Char!" Charmander dodge the whip with speed and then was he was close enough he fired a blazing blast of fire.

"Tangela!" It cried out, as it was hit.

"Tangela, don't give in! Use Stun Spore!" A yellow powder came from the vine Pokémon.

"Fire Spin!" Charmander launched a flame and turned into a tornado, defending himself from the stun effect. But the Fire Spin wasn't done, the flames continued till it hit Tangela.

"Tangela!" It cried out and fainted in the ground.

"Tangela is unable to battle! The match goes to Charmander!" The referee announced.

"Char!" Charmander smiled.

"Alright." ash cheered, "Two more."

"Tangela returned. You did your best." Erika said, "Weepinbell, I choose you."

ash scanned the flycatcher Pokémon.

[Weepinbell, the Flycatcher Pokémon. Weepinbell looks like a plant and covers opponents with a poisonous powder in order to catch them.]

"Can you keep going?" ash asked the lizard Pokémon.

"Char Charmander! (Of course.)"

"Alright, I'm keeping you in." ash said.

"Weepinbell use Razor Leaf!" Erika said.

"Bell..." Weepinbell spun around, releasing lots of leaves.

"Flamethrower, burn them down." ash countered.

"Charrrrrrr!" Charmander fired a Flamethrower towards the incoming leaves and burned them to crisp.

"Quick use Metal Claw." The lizard Pokemon charged at the flycatcher Pokémon with his claw glowing and attack it with his Metal Claw, causing serious damage.

"Weepinbell!" It cried out and then fainted from the powerful attack.

"Oh no. Weepinbell return now." Erika said, returning her fainted Pokémon back to its Pokéball.

[Break Scene]

On the sideline; the ladies were watching impressed by the battle that ash as done so far.

"Sweet! ash- Nee-chan only needs to defeat one more Pokémon." mairin grinned. "And she wins!" Mairin cheered, "Go!"

"Wow, she's a great trainer." A lady commented.

"I know." Another lady agreed.

"She also took down two of Lady Erika's Pokémon with just Charmander." Another lady said, amazed.

Alain let out a small smile.

[Break Scene]

"I must say ashley, you are an impressive trainer. But this gym battle isn't over yet." Erika said, passionately, "Go, Gloom!"

"Gloomm..." It said.

Charmander and ash winced at the Pokémon, 'Oh boy.' Was the word going through their head.

ash scanned the Pokémon.

[Gloom, the Weed Pokémon. The evolved form of Oddish. It gives off a powerful aroma that can cause those to smell it to faint from two miles away.]

"Charmander let's finish this quickly." ash said. "Use Ember!"

Charmander fired Ember attack at Gloom, but the weed Pokémon dodge it.

"Gloom quick, use Petal Dance!" Erika said.

"Gllooommmmm..." A spiralling whirl of petals shot out of Gloom's petal and twirled towards the lizard Pokémon.

"Fire Spin and into Flamethrower pin point." ash ordered.

Charmander countered the Petal Dance with Fire Spin, getting rid of the petals and soon launched a thin burst of fire stream directly at Gloom, making it a direct it.

"Glooommmm!" It cried out in pain, Gloom couldn't stand it because it was super effective and powerful, so it fainted. "... Gloom..."

ash jumped up and caught Charmander who jumped into her arms, "We did it!"

pikachu smiled, "Pika!"

"Char!" Charmander smiled.

ash thanked Charmander and returned back to his Pokéball for a rest. "Is Gloom okay?" She asked, Erika who is looking after Gloom.

Erika looked at ash and smiled assured, "Oh, don't worry. Gloom will be alright." She stood up.

The rest of gang walked towards them.

"ashley you gave me an excellent battle. Your a great trainer." Erika complimented, "And so I give you the Rainbow Badge, proof of your victory here at Celadon gym." She held out her badge.

ash took the badge, "Thank you very much Erika." She smiled. "Check it out pikachu, its..."

"Pikapi! (Badge 5!)"pikachu exclaimed.

"Way to go." Brock said.

"Yeah, now you need three more." Alain said.

ash nodded.

Everyone clapped and congratulated ash.

[Break Scene]

After receiving the Rainbow Badge from Erika, it was time to more on. Bidding farewell the Erika and her assistants, they left Celadon City.
