DAY OF THE POKÉMON EGG HATCH

Our heroes are in for a surprise at this small town Pokémon Centre.

The gang were resting in the Pokémon Centre, while Nurse Joy is looking after their Pokémon and giving Mairin's Pokémon Egg a check up.

ash was on the phone with Professor Oak.

#"Hello ash , I can see that you are doing wonderful on your journey."# Professor Oak smiled. #"How is Takato?"#

"Yes I am and he is doing great. How is all my Pokémon doing?" ash asked.

"Ah, all of them are doing just great and I'm impress on the amount of Pokémon you caught from other regions and rare colour ones."# Professor Oak answered, #"Everyone is training greatly, helping each other learning new attacks and combinations that you taught your Pokémon."#

"Ah." ash nodded.

#"Anyway tell Alain that his Pokémon are here as well, training along side yours. Augustine agreed to to let Alain's and Mairin's Pokémon be sent here."# Professor Oak explained.

"Okay."

#"Great, now I have to go. There are a lot of paperwork to get through. Bye."# Professor Oak said before ending the call.

After getting their Pokémon back from Nurse Joy the gang were now inside a restaurant talking about the Pokémon Egg.

Mairin happily hugged her Pokémon Egg, "Wah~ I can't wait for you to hatch." She said.

Takato took a sip of orange juice, "Hai hai. But what Pokémon do you think is going to hatch from it?" He asked.

ash hummed, she already knows what Pokémon it is because of the pattern.

"Who knows." Brock replied.

"We wouldn't have to wait this long. Nurse Joy said that the Egg is hatching today." Alain said.

"I know! I can't wait." Mairin smiled.

They left the restaurant and were about to continue on when, two woman appeared dressed up like olden time girls and both were holding a basket filled with egg and the eggs looks similar to Mairin's Pokémon Egg.

But unknown to the gang that's its Team Rocket who are disguised as Egg Sellers.

"Hello everybody." One woman greeted, with red hair.

"Good day." Second woman greeted, with short blue hair.

"We're Egg Sellers and we were wondering if you were interested in buying our eggs." The red haired woman said.

"No thank you." ash declines.

"Yeah, we already have a Pokémon Egg." Takato added.

But that didn't stop Team Rocket plans of stealing the Pokémon Egg, "Plan B!" They threw the fake eggs at the gang.

"Hey!" The gang tried not to get hit by the fake eggs.

And what they didn't notice was a certain scratch cat Pokémon, swipe the Pokémon Egg from Mairin's arm.

When the fake eggs stopped flying at them.

"AH!" Mairin cried out, in alarm when she notice that her Egg was missing, "My Pokémon Egg isn't here!"

"Ches!" Chespie gasped.

"What?!" Takato shouted.

"But how?" Brock asked.

ash and Alain looked around and saw Meowth carrying Mairin's Pokémon Egg away.

"Here!" ash pointed.

"Give back my egg you flea bag!" Mairin shouted at Meowth angrily.

"What! Flea bag why I-" Meowth flinched when he notice Alain's glare, he knew that if he scratched his little sister, it's barque for him.

Jessie and James threw of their disguise, they grabbed Meowth and immediately ran away.

"WAIT!" Takato and Mairin shouted.

But Team Rocket was already long gone.

"Oh no." Mairin looked down sadly, "What are we doing to do, Team Rocket got my Pokémon Egg..."

Korin and Zack were staring at a broken shell that was on the ground.

Light notice it too, "Pika?"

"Not for long." Alain started, when he notice the Pokémon staring.

ash looked on the ground, "Oh."

Brock nodded, "Alain is right. Check it out." He pointed to the ground, "They've left a trail of broke egg shells from the fake eggs."

"Great let's follow it." ash said.

The gang ran after Team Rocket immediately, following the trail of broken egg shells.

After following the trail of broken egg shells, the gang arrived at a small cabin outside the park and inside was Team Rocket.

Meowth was looking after the Pokémon Egg carefully.

"Well, it seems like the Pokémon Egg is okay." Brock whispered. "Any suggestions?"

"I say we charge in." Mairin offered her suggestion, she was mad and it was like when her Pokémon got stolen.

Takato sweat dropped when he notice fire in her eyes. "Sure..."

Alain sighs.

ash nodded, "Okay. Brock, the door."

Brock nodded, "Gotcha. Rhyhorn and Taruos, let's go." He called out his spikes and bull Pokémon out, "Were charging in, tackle that door!" He ordered.

Both Pokémon roared out and charged at the door, they broke the door down.

"AAAHHHHHHHHHH!" Team Rocket screamed out at the sudden intrusion.

"Give me back my egg!" Mairin yelled at Team Rocket.

Brock quickly returned his Pokémon.

James scoffed, "Not a chance little twerp. Weezing!" He released his poison gas Pokémon to battle.

"Weezing Weez!" It's said.

"Arbok!" Jessie released her cobra Pokémon.

"Arrssss!" Arbok hissed.

Mairin glared, "Chespie! Torra! Blast! Cherry! Cheer!" She called out all her Pokémon.

"Turtwig!" Torra said, ready.

"Squirtle!" Blast said, ready to fight.

"Cherrii~" Cherry said.

"Oricorio~~" The pom-pom style Oricorio appeared ready.

"We are getting our egg back!" Mairin pointed to Team Rocket.

All Mairin's Pokémon saw the Pokémon Egg their trainer were taking care of in the hands of Team Rocket and growled or glared at them.

Team Rocket and their Pokémon gulped.

ash , Alain, Takato and Brock stood on the side, out of the way of the angry young trainer.

Their Pokémon also stood on the side.

"Well..." Takato sweat dropped.

"Team Rocket deserves it." ash deadpanned.

Light nodded, "Pika Pika."

"True." Alain said.

"Arbok use Wrap!" Jessie commanded.

"Weezing use Sludge Attack!" James ordered.

"Cheer use Thunder, Torra and Chespie use Tackle and Take Down, Blast use Bubble Beam against the Sludge Attack and Cherry charge up a Solar Beam!" Mairin ordered.

All Mairin's Pokémon nodded and attacked, they all dodge the Wrap attack from Arbok.

Cherry started to charge up a Solar Beam attack, near the window where the sun was shining through.

Blast fired Bubble Beam against the Sludge Attack, cancelling it out and then Chespie jumped and tackled the poison gas Pokémon down to the ground.

Arbok got tackled down by Torra and Cheer was rubbing her pom-pom wings together creating static and then shocked both Poison-Type Pokémon making both Pokémon cry out in pain.

"You go Mairin!" ash cheered on the side.

"Pikachu!" Light and Korin cheered as well.

"It's like never get between a mother and her egg." Brock commented.

"That makes sense." Takato said.

"Ah, Arbok!" Jessie cried out in horror.

"Arbok and Weezing are getting beaten down." James said, shocked.

"Chespie use Vine Whip to grab the egg from Meowth." Mairin said.

"Chespin!" Chespie used Vine Whip and it moved towards the scratch cat Pokémon.

A vine came out and hit Meowth, making the scratch cat Pokémon release the egg and the vine moved again, wrapping around the egg and pulled back.

Meowth looked at were the Pokémon Egg was going and gasped.

Chespie carefully brought the Pokémon Egg back to Mairin.

Mairin smiled as her Pokémon Egg returned, "Yeah! I got you back!" She hugged it.

The gang smiled and then notice Team Rocket all moving to attack.

All the Pokémon stood guard.

Mairin saw this and, "Cherry, go!" She ordered.

Cherry released the Solar Beam attack at Team Rocket and it hit them and blasted them out of the cabin.

"AHHH! TEAM ROCKET IS BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" They shouted in the sky.

"They must've forgotten that Cherry was charging up her Solar Beam." Alain commented.

"Yeah." They nodded.

Mairin smiled at all her Pokémon, "Thanks. We got our egg back."

All Mairin's Pokémon cheered and they all expect for Chespie and Cheer began to glow.

"There evolving." Brock said.

"Wow! It's a triple evolving this time." Takato said.

As the light died down, revealing the three newly evolved forms.

"Grot Grotle!" The newly evolved Turtwig said.

"Cheribrii~" The newly evolved Cherubi said.

"War Wartortle." The newly evolved Squirtle said.

Mairin gasped, "You all evolved!" She exclaimed, happily.

"Congratulations." ash said, pulling out her Pokédex and scanned all the newly evolved Pokémon.

[Grotle, the Grove Pokémon. The evolved form of Turtwig. Grotle lives near water, in forests and leaves the forest during the day to allow light to shine on the tree on its shell.]

[Cherrim, the Blossom Pokémon. Cherrim stays quiet until it's flower bloom when it becomes quite excited.]

[Wartotle, the Turtle Pokémon. The evolved form of Squirtle. It's long furry tail is a symbol of its age and wisdom.]

"Takes for your hard work." Mairin returned back all her Pokémon expect Chespie. "AH!" She cried out, as the Pokémon Egg glowed, "Its hatching! My egg is hatching! What do I do?! What do I do?!"

"Mai, calm down." ash told her, "You have to remain calm."

"Okay, okay..." Mairin said, taking a deep breath to try and calm down as the egg continued to glow.

"It's almost here." Brock said.

"Ches. (Wow.)" Chespie said.

"Come on..." Takato said.

"Chu... (Nearly...)" Korin said.

"Pikapi.... (Almost there...)" Light said.

The egg continued to glow until the light finally died down, revealing a Pokémon.

[aaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww]

"Togephriii~" The Pokémon squealed, happily.

"It's so cute~!" Mairin squealed.

"What kind of Pokémon is it though?" Brock wondered.

"It's a Togepi. They are rare Pokémon that aren't found so easily." Alain said.

"Really." Takato said, surprised.

Zack barked, "Rarff! (Its a boy.)" He said.

"Zack says it's a he and he is adorable~" ash smiled and scanned the newly hatched Pokémon.

[Togepi, the Spike Ball Pokémon. Togepi is filled with an energy that makes people happy. When treated well, Togepi shares this energy with others but when it's comes near a human with an impure heart, this energy quickly disappears, leaving Togepi exhausted.]

Mairin blinks at the information and looked at Togepi, "Makes people happy huh. I'll name you Rafa."

"Toge?" Togepi blinked cutely.

"That's your name from now on. It's Rafa." Mairin smiled.

Togepi the newly named Rafa squealed happily, "Togephriiiii~~~"

"Ches. (Cute.)" Chespie smiled.

Korin nodded, "Pikapi. (He is.)"

"Pika Pikapi Pi. (And small, like Korin.)" Light chuckled.

Mairin happily hugged Rafa.

With the Pokémon Egg saved from Team Rocket and safely hatched into a happy healthy Togepi, our heroes now have a new friend.
