"Oi, Volkner." Flint entered the gym of Sunyshore City. "How are you?"

Volkner looked the the Fire Elite that entered his gym with Helioptile and Raichu beside him, "Flint..." He replied, bored.

"What's with that attitude dude?"

Volkner sighs.

"Helio?" Helioptile hide behind his trainer leg.

Flint smiled at the generator Pokémon, "Still a little shy I see." He said.

"Helioptile..." The generator Pokémon blinked.

"Why are you here Flint?" Volkner asked.

Flint mock pouted, "How rude. The Indigo League is going to start and ashley is battling today in one of the fields. So I came to watch as well." He answered.

Volkner nodded and was about to leave when a challenger appeared, he groaned. "I'll see you at the café. Raichu, Helioptile lets go." He walked to the battle field.

Flint shook his head, "It's fine, I'll wait." He said, "I swear he loves that Helioptile, he's shy but in battle he's dangerous. Though..." He winced when the generator Pokémon used Surf on the opponent Hippowdon, knocking it out in one move. "Seriously, knowing Surf and he catching up."

The challenge groaned down as his first Pokémon is down already.

Raichu cheered on the generator Pokémon for defeating a Pokémon, fast.

"Welcome to Pokémon Village." The assistant lady greeted, "I need your identification to check you in, please."

ash handed the assistant her Pokédex.

The assistant lady blinked as she saw the Pokédex, but still did her job, "Is this your first time at the Pokémon League?" She asked, as she place the Pokédex onto a machine and typed things need.

"Yes it is." ash replied.

The assistant lady remove the Pokédex from the machine and handed it back to ash, "Well that's it. Your checked in." She told her.

ash took back her Pokédex, "Thank you." She said, "Erm, how does the Indigo League work?"

"I can explain that ash." Brock spoke up.

ash looked at the Breeder, "Sure."

"It's quiet simple, you see at the Indigo Plateau Conference of Pokémon League there are four different Battle Fields; Rock, Water, Grass and Ice." Brock explained, he pointed to the screen that show four symbols of rock, grass, water and ice.

"You have to win all your matches on all four Battle Fields before you could battle at the Indigo Stadium."

The assistant lady smiled and nodded, "That is correct." She said.

ash nodded, "I see."

"Wow, all four fields and you must win them all." Mairin said.

"Sounds complimented and easy at the same time." Takato said.

"What field do I have to battle first?" ash asked.

"All you have to do is press this button." The assistant lady push the red button that is on the table, she pushed it and the screen that showed all four Battle field symbols started to show an outline of a light and it switched, "Wherever the lights stop, is where your first match is."

ash nodded, "Okay." She pushed the button and watched the screen as the light was slowing down and it hit; Water field.

"It's the Water Field." Alain said.

"The Water Field it is." The assistant lady, typed something up and an image of  ash showed up, "Now the system will select your opponent."

Another image appeared beside ash, making that person her opponent.

"Looks like he is ash's opponent." Mairin said.

"His name is Mandi Koomu. Your the third match." The assistant lady said, "Be there by one and good luck."

"Thank you." ash said.

• • • •

The gang walked outside and saw the opponent that ash is going to face.

"He is like a girly magician..." Takato couldn't help but comment on him.

Brock snorted, to cover up his laugh.

Mairin snickered, silently.

ash and Alain didn't say anything but they are amused by that.

RING RING RING!

ash blinked and pulled out her Holo Caster, she answered it and the image showed Professor Oak.

"Hello Professor Oak." The gang greeted.

{"Hello Everyone. I'm making a quick call."} Professor Oak said, {"I wish you luck ash, especially since this is your first time Pokémon League.}

"Thank you Professor Oak."

{"Also your aunt and all Pallet Town people are behind you all the way.}

ash nodded, "Tell them that I said thanks."

Professor Oak nodded and the Holo Caster went out.

"Guess what. Gary Oak won his first match on the Ice Field." Brock said, he saw the news.

"Nothing new there. But I wonder how far he can go." Alain said. "Especially with that attitude of his."

ash agreed, but she had to concentrate on her first match.

And then ash's Holo Caster rang again and she answered it, the caller was Volkner with Flint, they wish her the best of luck when battling. She thanked them and Volkner told Alain to keep an eye for her, she flush every time they talk like that and turn the Holo Caster off before she could go more red.

They gang snickered and Alain smiled kindly at ash, who refuse to looked at them for a while and she had to focus on her match.

• • • •

Later that day they met Mandi and his attitude screamed; arrogant and cocky trainer, which reminds the gang of a certain someone.

Yep, Takato didn't like this guy and ash as well.

"I look forward to beating you in our battle ashley." Mandi smirked, cockily. "But maybe I need just one Pokémon to beat you." He walked away.

ash eyes narrowed, "We'll see about that."

Zack growled.

Light glared.

"Talk about attitude problem." Brock commented.

• • • •

Soon it was time for the third match of the day.

"And now the start of the third match, on the Water Field."

The crowd cheered.

"On the green side is  ashley Mew Ketchum from Pallet Town."

ash stood on the green platform, with Light beside her and Alain, Brock, Mairin and Takato took a seat behind her.

"And on the red side is Pokémon League favourite, the Astounding Mandi Koomu from Cerulean City."

Mandi stood on the red platform with a confident face and arrogant air.

"Pikachu? (Astounding?)" Light questioned.

• • • •

"Astounding huh?" Brock said.

"Must be a titled given to him when he first entered the Pokémon League." Alain said.

• • • •

"Ketchum faces one of the most popular Pokémon Trainers, known for his exciting battle style."

"Exciting battle style huh?" ash said, "This is going to be interesting."

"Chu." Light nodded.

"Each Trainer is only allowed three Pokémon." The announcer explains the rule, "If a trainer recalls their Pokémon, the Pokémon is knocked out, asleep or refused to battle, then those are counted as loses. Now let the battle begin!"

DING!

"Go Exeggutor." Mandi sent out the coconut Pokémon.

"Exeggutor." It said, as it was on the platform.

"Alright then, Kosame go!" ash sent out her bubble jet Pokémon.

"Vaporeon." Kosame said, as she landed on one of the platform.

"What's this? Ketchum has sent out a Vaporeon who is a Water-type and Exeggutor is a Grass and Psychic-type, who has a advantage over."

Mandi smirked, "His right."

ash looked at him with a blank face, "Types aren't everything." She stated.

"Exeggutor use Razor Leaf." Mandi ordered.

"Icy Wind." ash said.

Exeggutor fired leaves towards the bubble jet Pokémon who has frozen it with the Icy Wind.

"Agility and then Iron Tail." Kosame speed up and before anyone could blink and Mandi give another order, the Water-type Eeveelution reappeared and slammed her Iron Tail into the coconut Pokémon stomach, sending it into the water.

SPLASH!

"What!!" Mandi exclaimed.

"Unbelievable! The speed of the Vaporeon was fast, even I couldn't see it!"

As Exeggutor resurfaced, it has swirling eyes, meaning it as fainted.

"Victory for the green!" The judge raised the green flag.

"Now the Astounding Mandi must decide which two reminding Pokémon he will choose to battle against ash's Vaporeon."

"Ha, the kid has some beginners luck." Mandi has chosen a Pokéball, "But her luck has ran out. Go, Seadra!" He sent out his dragon Pokémon next.

"Doo..." Seadra saw as it entered the water.

Kosame eyes the Seadra, "Vay."

ash pulled out her Pokédex and scanned the dragon Pokémon.

[Seadra, the Dragon Pokémon. The evolved form of Horsea. Seadra has a violent temperament, and the quills that covers its body can render its victim unconscious.]

"Let's see who is faster. Your Vaporeon or my speedy Seadra." Mandi said, "Seadra use your Agility."

Seadra swam fast in the water, increasing its speed.

ash raised an eyebrow, "Kosame, freeze the field." She said.

"Vaporeon!" Kosame fired Ice Beam at the water and the whole field became frozen solid in seconds.

"Doo Doo Doo!" Seadra panics when it notice that it has a small about to move.

"Seadra!" Mandi cried out.

"Incredible! ash's Vaporeon has frozen the Water Field in a second and now, it has become an Ice Field!"

"Seadra don't panic, use Dragon Pulse." Mandi ordered.

"Ice Beam again." ash countered.

Seadra launched a Dragon Pulse, while Kosame fired an Ice Beam once again, it hit the Dragon Pulse and continued the attack till it hit the dragon Pokémon.

"Doooooo!" Seadra cried out in pain as it was hit by the super effective attack.

"Aurora Beam." Kosame fired multicoloured beam, hitting Seadra directly again and it collapses with swirling eyes.

"Seadra has been defeated the victor goes to Vaporeon!" The judge raised the green flag.

The crowd cheered for ash.

"Now the Astounding Mandi is just one Pokémon away from defeat. Can he stage a magical comeback?"

"The answer is he can and he will." Mandi said, he held up a Pokéball, "Let's see if your Vaporeon can handle this."

ash and Vaporeon watched carefully.

"Pika?" Light said.

"And now Pokémon fans, may I present you Golbat. Go!" Mandi sent out his last Pokémon.

The bat Pokémon appeared.

"This Pokémon is the ace Pokémon Mandi had up his sleeves. Now Golbat takes this one round sky high and there is not telling what would happen now."

"Underestimating my Kosame here." ash chuckled, "Brock has a Golbat too." She scanned the Pokémon.

[Golbat, the Bat Pokémon. The evolved form of Zubat. It has four sharp fangs and emits supersonic waved more powerful than Zubat's.]

"Golbat, Supersonic." Mandi ordered.

"Dodge it and use Icy Wind." ash countered.

Kosame used the ice and dodged the Supersonic attack, she blew Icy Wind towards it and Golbat dodge it.

"Air Cutter!" Golbat flapped it's wings releasing tiny cutters towards the bubble jet Pokémon.

"Hail." Kosame summoned a blizzard of snow, stopping the Air Cutter attack. "Now Ice Beam."

As Golbat was distracted by the Hail attack, it didn't notice Kosame at all.

"Golbat dodge!" Mandi panicked.

But it was too late, the bubble jet Pokémon fired an Ice Beam, freezing the bat Pokémon in solid of ice and then she slammed it with and Iron Tail.

Golbat was sent crashing through the ice floor, into the water and it resurfaced with swirling eyes.

"Golbat is unable to battle!" The judge announced, "The victory goes to the team of ashley and Vaporeon!"

The crowd cheered loudly.

"It's all over and what a finish! Pokémon League Trainer ashley Mew Ketchum has scored a stunting victory at her first match without once changing Pokémon!"

"Vay!" Kosame smiled and ran to her trainer.

ash hugged her Water-type Eeveelution, "Thank you Kosame." She smiled.

"Vaporeon." Kosame nuzzles her cheek.

"Pikapi Pikachu. (Great job out there.)" Light said.

Mairin jumped up and down with Takato, "WAHOO!! She won!" They shouted.

Mandi collapsed to his knees, "But I'm Mandi Koomu, the Astounding... How could I lose?"

"You did it ash." Brock said.

"Great job showing them that your not someone to mess around with." Alain said.

ash nodded, "Thanks you guys."

-----------------------

Pallet Town people cheered and celebrated ash on her first win.

"My daughter like won!" cynthai cheered, as she heard the television. She finished up the dishes and told the waiters to pick them up.

Professor Oak nodded, "Excellent work on ash's, her opponent underestimated her greatly." He said.

"Electrode!" It's said.

"Electrode... This is going to be a risky round." ash said, "Dia, let's go!" She sent out her Midday Lycanroc form.

Dia howled as she entered the field.

"What Pokémon is that?!" Jeramiah exclaimed.

The crowd wondered the same thing as well, they have never seen a Pokémon like that before.

"Ahem! Ladies and gentlemen that Pokémon is known as a Lycanroc, Midday Form and it's from the Alola Region. It's also Rock-type Pokémon." The announcer read from a paper.

"Rock-type huh?" Jeramiah said, "No matter."

"Rock Throw!" ash ordered.

Dia jumped in the air and summoned rocks around herself and she threw them at the Ball Pokémon.

"Electrode dodge them all!" Electrode was rolling to avoid the stones.

"Oh no you don't. Rock Tomb!" Dia howled as large pillars of rocks emerged from the ground, holding Electrode in place.

"Elec-Electrode!" The ball Pokémon panicked as it couldn't move and then the rocks hit it. "Electrode!"

BOOM! A massive explosion happened.

---------------

"Smart on ashley." Brock stated.

"Huh?" Takato and Mairin said.

"ashley used Rock Tomb to corner Electrode from moving around." Alain explained.

-------------------

As dust cleared out, revealing a fainted Pokémon in the centre of the explosion.

"Green side wins!" The judge announced.

"And ashley's Lycanroc takes the first round! She corner Electrode with Rock Tomb then hits it with a Rock Stone attack!"

"Fearow go!" Jeramiah sent out his beak Pokémon next.

"Fearow!" It screeched out.

"And Jeramiah seconded Pokémon is Fearow. Let's see how this battle will turn out."

"Fearow use Fury Attack!" Jeramiah ordered.

"Dodge it then Rock Throw!" ash said.

Dia jumped from rocks to rocks, dodging the attacks and then she summoned rocks again and quickly sent them to the beak Pokémon.

"Dodge it!" Fearow flew down the avoid the rocks.

"Gotcha! Accelerock!" Dia speed increased and she tackled down the beak Pokémon, crashing into one of the small pillar of rocks, creating a small dust.

Dia jumped out of the dust to her trainers side, waiting patiently as the dust begins to clear and as the dust was all clear, Fearow had swirling eyes and it has fainted.

"Now young Jeramiah has only one Pokémon left and which is it?"

"Go!" Jeramiah sent out the male poison pin Pokémon.

"And the red Trainer has chosen a Nidorino as his last Pokémon."

"Toxis Spikes!" Jeramiah ordered.

"Stone Edge and knock those spikes out!" ash countered, there is noway she is allowing that poison to hit the ground.

Both Toxis Spikes and Stone Edge hit each other, as each attacks was destroyed.

"That won't work huh, then. Water Pulse!" Nidorino launched a Water-type attack towards the wolf Pokémon.

"Use Romb Tomb to defend." Dia howled as pillars of rocks came out of the ground and surrounded her, defeating her from the Water Pulse attack.

"No way!" Jeramiah exclaimed, unbelievable.

"Iron Tail now!" Dia ran across the field and slammed her tail onto the poison pin Pokémon head, smashing it into the ground.

"She did show a lot of strategy and fast thinking." Brock commented.

Alain smiled, "Thats true."

Gary and his cheerleaders had watched of ash's battle.

Gary eyed the wolf Pokémon who is nuzzling his rival, "Lycanroc huh? An Alola Region Pokémon, but how. I known that ashy hasn't gone to the Alola Region yet." He said.

"Did you see that?"

"Yes, this is her second match and she didn't even have to change Pokémon."

"I know what you mean. The battles showed her as a strategist trainer and fast one too."

Gary heard the words, "A strategist huh? We'll see who wins." He walked away with his cheerleaders following.

The crowd agreed.

"Cloyster, go!" Peter sent out his first Pokémon to battle.

"Cloyster." The bivalve Pokémon said, as it entered the Ice Field.

"Donar!" ash sent out her Electric-type Eeveelution to battle.

"Jolt!" Donar looked at his opponent with a questioning look, he looked back to this Trainer. "Jolt? (Again?)"

ash shrugged her shoulders, she knows that he battled one before.

Donar turned back and his purple-eyes narrowed at the bivalve Pokémon.

"Let's just end this quickly. Thunder." ash said.

Donar fur spiked up as static electricity surrounded him, "Jolt!" He fired a Thunder attack at the bivalve Pokémon.

"CLOYSTER!" It cried out in pain, it didn't even have time to defend itself and it has fainted.

"Golduck is unable to battle! This round goes to Jolteon!" The judge raised the green flag.

"Now that Peter is down to his last Pokémon. What Pokémon will it be?

"Go, Arcanine!" Peter called out the Legendary Pokémon to the field.

Arcanine landed on one of the ice pillars.

"What a big surprise, Peter has chosen an Arcanine to battle against ashley's Jolteon. Let's see can he make a comeback."

"Arcanine..." ash pulled out her Pokédex and scanned the Pokémon.

[Arcanine, the Legendary Pokémon. The evolved form of Growlithe using a Fire Stone. Arcanine is known for its bravery and fierce loyalty.]

"Arcanine, Fire Blast!" Arcanine fired a kanji-like Blast towards the Electric-type Eeveelution.

"Dodge it." Donar moved away and the Fire Blast hit the ice melting it.

"Don't let up, Flamethrower!" Peter ordered.

Donar continued to dodge the flames that is thrown his way and soon stops when he notice the field was melting.

"Pika Pikachu. (The Ice Field is melting.)" Light said.

"This is unbelievable. A whole field has been melted down to two little iceberg."

ash looked at all the water amused, like her Pokémon, "I wonder if you forget something about Donar."

"What's that?" Peter questioned.

ash smirked, "Donar, use Iron Tail on the water." She said.

Donar slam an Iron Tail onto the water, sending towards Arcanine.

Arcanine panicked, since it couldn't move because there is no place to ran, the water hits it and it fell into the water.

"Arcanine!" Peter exclaimed, then remembered, "Oh no."

"Water conducts electricity. Donar, Thunder!" Donar fired electricity towards the water and the whole water was covered by Electric-type attack.

Peter looked at his Pokémon, "Arcy..." He said.

Arcanine resurfaced the water with swirling eyes.

"Arcanine is unable to battle!" The judge announced, "The victory goes to Trainer ashley Mew Ketchum."

The crowd cheered loudly.

ash cheered, "Yes, we won our third round match!" She said.

Donar jumped towards his trainer and landed in front of her, "Jolt!"

ash petted her Electric-type Eeveelution, "Thank you for all your hard work, Donar." She said.

Donar smiled.

"Pikapi Pikachu! (Great job out there!)" Light praised.

"Alright now one more win for nee-chan and she can enter the stadium!" Takato cheered.

✿ ---- ⇒ [Break Scene] ⇐ ---- ✿

The day of the fourth round matches was underway.

The gang watched Gary Oak's battle, he is on the Rock Field and battling against a girl named Melissa.

"Now Gary and Melissa are down to one Pokémon each. Whoever wins this battle will win the match."

Gary's Nidoking and Melissa's Golem were staring down at each.

• • • •

ash watched the battle, "Gary is on the edge." She said.

"Will Gary no Baka win?" Takato questioned.

"Don't know, that Melissa sure is tough." Brock commented.

"Both Pokémon are exhausted, but either are giving up." Alain stated.

• • • •

"Nidoking, Horn Attack!" Gary ordered.

Nidoking charged towards the megaton Pokémon, who grabbed the horn with its claws and the drill Pokémon was lifted into the air.

"Golem, Seismic Toss!" Melissa ordered.

Golem jumped with the drill Pokémon in its claws still and it slammed Nidoking down on the rock field.

"Goll..." Golem was standing on top of an unconscious Nidoking and still holding its horn.

The judge watched closely as Nidoking wasn't moving, "This battle goes to Melissa!" He raised the green flag.

"She's done it! After a brawling battle Melissa Yoshiki from New Bark Town has won the last minute match against Gary Oak for her fourth Pokémon League victory."

Gary collapsed onto his knees, with both his eyes shut, "Grrr..." He couldn't believe he lost.

• • • •

"Nooooo! Gary lost!" The cheerleaders cried.

"I can't believe it." ash said, "I thought that Gary could at least make it past the preliminary rounds."

"Well, the competition is really tough ashley and that Mellissa isn't an easy opponent." Brock commented.

"I know."

"Pika-Chu." Light said.

• • • •

So Gary Oak has lost in the Preliminary Rounds and has earned Top 32 in the Indigo League.

Gary felt a bit disappointed with himself but it didn't make him give up on being a trainer, he'll try harder in the next League.

• • • •

Later that day it was time for ash's Fourth Preliminary Round and the field is Grass Field.

"Our next Trainers are coming on the Grass Field for the fourth round. The green trainer is Pallet Town; ashley Mew Ketchum!"

ash appeared on the green side of the field.

• • • •

"Who is ash nee chan up against?" Mairin asked, the Breeder.

Brock looked at the booklet he is holding, "It's says here that ashley is up against a trainer named Jeanette Fisher." He read, "She must be pretty tough to make to make it all the way here."

Takato saw something, "Look guys, on the other side."

The gang turned to the other side of the field.

• • • •

"And now the red Trainer is coming out onto the field."

A long roll red carpet appeared.

"Erm..." ash blinked, confused.

"Pikapi. (A carpet.)" Light said and her ears twitched, "Pika? (Music?)" She beard Japanese music being played.

ash sweat dropped, "Your kidding." She saw a man throwing cherry blossom petals as her opponents walked along the red carpet.

"Jeanette Fisher from Crimson City!"

"I am honoured." Jeanette said.

• • • •

"Jeanette! Jeanette! She is the greatest trainer yet! Jeanette! Jeanette! She's the greatest she can get!" A cheering squad cheered.

• • • •

Mairin was amazed, "Wow, she even got herself a cheering squad." She said.

Takato nodded, "Oh well. Nee-chan! You can beat her!" He yelled out.

"Yeah! Go ash nee chan!" Mairin cheered as well.

Zack barked, in courage.

"Chespin!" Chespie said.

• • • •

"It's looks like our opponents are ready to face off."

The judge looked on both trainers to see that they are ready to battle, "Trainers, go!" He raised both flags in the air.

"Shula, I choose you." ash sent out her Fire-type Eeveelution to battle.

"Flareon!" Shula said, ready to battle.

"My Pokémon will create quiet a buzz. Beedrill, go!" Jeanette sent out poison bee Pokémon.

"Beee!" It said.

"Beedrill fight Flareon with your Twineedle." Jeanette ordered.

Beedrill flew over to Shula and tried to stab the flame Pokémon with its Twineedle attack.

Shula jumped and dodged all the attacks, that Beedrill is sure a speedy one.

"Fire Blast." ash said.

"Flare!" Shula jumped away but still in range of the poison bee Pokémon and launched a kanji-like blast at it.

"Beeeeeee!" It screeched out in pain as the blast hit it directly and it fainted.

Jeanette gasped, "No!"

"Beedrill is out of the match!" The judge announced, raising the green flag.

• • • •

Mairin waved her arms around, "Way to go ash nee chan!"

"Go nee-chan, you showed her." Takato shouted.

• • • •

"Jeanette! Jeanette! Our girl isn't finished yet!" The cheering squad said.

• • • •

"There acting like Jeanette is the one in the lead." Brock commented.

"The trainer might have a plan." Alain said, "Thats why the cheering squad is acting like that."

• • • •

Jeanette recalled her Beedrill and held out another Pokémon, "This one won't be so easy. Gooo, Scyther!" She sent out the mantis Pokémon.

"Scyther!" It said, facing Shula. "Scyther!"

Shula glared at it.

"Scyther used your Slash attack now!" Jeanette commanded.

Scyther flew towards Shula with its sickles ready and tried, keyword tired, to slash the flame Pokémon who is easily dodging it all.

"Flare!" Shula continued to dodge.

"Now Scyther, Quick Attack!" Jeanette ordered.

Scyther continued to use its sickles to attack but when Quick Attack was added, the sickles released a green slash.

Shula dodges even faster, "Flare Flare Flareon! (This is getting really annoying!)" She exclaimed.

Light nodded.

"Your right. Shula, Agility and then Flamethrower!" ash ordered.

"Flareon!" Shula disappears from her spot and reappeared behind Scyther and blasted it with a close range Flamethrower.

Scyther was hit hard from the close range Flamethrower and it fainted.

The judge raised the green flag, "The Scyther has been defeated!" He declared.

"Jeanette is down to her last Pokémon and ashley  still is on her first Pokémon.

"Gooo, Bellsprout!" Jeanette sent out the flower Pokémon.

"Bellsprout." It nodded.

• • • •

Mairin and Takato looked at the flower Pokémon in disbelief, "A Bellsprout?!" They exclaimed.

"Okay... Any ideas Alain?" Brock asked the oldest Sycamore for any words.

"Well, from my view the Bellsprout must be strong since Jeanette saved it last and the cheering squad agrees." Alain pointed to the other side, that is cheering for the Bellsprout. "But knowing ashley , she won't underestimated it."

• • • •

"Flare?" Shula blinked at the Pokémon.

"Huh?" ash looked at the flower confused, "We can't let our guard down Shula, if she saved a Bellsprout for last then its dangerous." She told her Pokémon.

"Flare." Shula nodded, understanding.

"This looks like a desperation move by young Fisher."

"Bellsprout, get ready." Jeanette said.

"Shula, you too." ash said.

Both Bellsprout and Shula went to the middle of the field.

"Go!" The judge raised both flag.

"Bellsprout, go and use Tackle!" Jeanette said.

Bellsprout was fast and charged into Shula, who manages to dodge a kick or root leg from it.

"Pika! (Fast!)" Light gasped.

"All her Pokémon are focus on speed." ash said.

• • • •

"Hi everyone." A familiar female voice greeted.

The gang turned to see cynthai and Professor Oak, who appeared beside them.

"Mum!" Takato beamed and went to hug his mother.

cynthai giggled as her son hugged her, "Sorry were late. The I became busy after ashley's party." She said.

"Mrs. cynthai, Professor Oak." Alain nodded.

"We came to cheer on mew on to victory." Professor Oak said.

Brock stood up, "Erm, did you know that your grandson lost?" He asked.

Professor Oak nod, "Yes I know. It would do Gary good to see that every road has a few bumps along the way." He answered.

"Win this dear!" cynthai cheered towards her daughter like.

"Now that Gary is out of the competition, all the folks in Pallet Town are counting on you!" Professor Oak shouted out.

Mairin sweat dropped, "That's pressuring her, isn't it?" She asked her older brother.

"Oi oi." Takato deadpanned at them.

Alain gave a chuckle in response.
