MORO ISLAND; A SHIPFUL OF SHIVERS!

Today as our heroes continued on their journey, they are headed to the next island to rest for the night.

Mairin saw an island ahead of them, "What island is that?" She asked, pointed ahead.

Alain looked ahead and saw the island, "Thats Moro Island." He replied.

"Let's go and rest there for the night." ash said.

When the gang arrived at the island, night arrived and they were now in the Pokémon Centre.

ash called the Kanto's Professor for a talk on the video phone.

"Hiya Professor Oak." ash greeted the Kanto Professor.

"How are you?" Takato asked.

#Hello everyone, I'm fine and I can see your all doing well.# Professor Oak responses.

"Were all fine." Mairin said.

#Excellent, where are you calling from?#

"Moro Island." ash said.

#Ah, you timed your arrival perfectly then.#

ash raised an eyebrow, "We did?"

#You mean you haven't seen the news?# Professor Oak asked.

"We haven't been in civilisation for awhile." Alain replied.

#Oh, I see. Here it is, read this.# The Kanto Professor showed the gang a newspaper article.

"Treasure found. Drivers have recovered what they claim to be an Orange League Championship trophy dated back over 300 years, from a sunken ship from the coast of Moro Island." Volkner read out.

"Wow. 300 years." Mairin said.

#Of course, there is lots of studies to be done but they are certain that it's the real thing.# Professor Oak spoke.

"Sounds amazing." Takato said.

#You can see it if you like. They have the trophy on display in the Moro Island Museum of Art.#

"Oh, I love to see what a 300 year old trophy Orange League trophy was like." ash said.

"Then let's see it tomorrow morning." Alain said.

"Yeah."

"Pikachu."

"Raichu."

During that night at the Moro Island Museum of Arts, Team Rocket strikes, wanting to steal the trophy and sell it.

"So this is the museum that they are keeping the trophy." Jessie said.

"That's right." James said, turning on the flashlight.

"It should be ahead of us." Meowth said.

As they continued to walk and look around, they came to the trophy display.

"Here it is." Jessie smirked.

"Now, the next step." Meowth smirked.

"To get the trophy out." James said, as he pulled out some goggles and looked through them, seeing security red lasers line. "It's seems the only opening is from the top." He pointed.

And so Team Rocket got to work and carefully lowed Meowth, who carefully removed the trophy from the glass case and it was a success.

"Yes." James and Jessie said, they pulled the scratch cat Pokémon back.

Team Rocket, after getting the trophy, immediately exited the museum by the entrance they came in, the top window.

"Success at last!" Jessie cheered.

"Let's have an all eat party." Meowth added.

"Yeah. Ah-!" James fell forward into the dirt. "That hurts..." He groaned, as he got up.

"Let's go!" Jessie and Meowth said.

James nodded and they all ran off, not noticing an imprint image of James and the trophy in the dirt.

Morning came and the gang arrived at the museum location.

"This is the museum." ash said.

"It is but why is everyone outside?" Volkner questioned.

The gang walked towards the crowd and carefully pressed through to the front, where Office Jenny and other police officers were there as well.

"Excuse me, Officer Jenny did something happen?" ash asked.

Officer Jenny looked at the gang, "The old Orange League trophy we had on display here is stolen." She answered.

"Say what!" Takato exclaimed.

"The trophy is gone!" Mairin exclaimed.

"Pika!"

"It's seems several people broken in last night and took it." Officer Jenny explained, "The only clues we have right now are a couple of footprints and this imprint of someone carrying the trophy."

ash groaned, she rubbed her forehead, 'Why does that imprint look familiar?' She thought.

"Pikachu~" Light tapped her trainers head, gently.

The gang decide to leave the island since they couldn't see the trophy because it was stolen by some people.

ash sulked, "I really want to see the old Orange League trophy." She grumbled, cursing the people who stolen it.

"Same here. I really want to see what it was like back then." Alain commented.

"Yeah. Ah-" ash tripped and would've landed face first, if Volkner didn't grab her by her waist, saving her, "Thanks." She smiled.

Volkner chuckled, "Your welcome. Though what did you trip over?" He looked down and saw a leg.

"Raichu? (A leg?)" Raichu blinked.

Light yelped, "Pikachu! (It's moving!)"

The leg pulled back into the bush and the gang saw familiar thieves.

"That's!" Takato gasped.

Alain twitched when he saw who it was.

James yawned with a smile, "I haven't celebrated like that in a while." He said, happily.

Meowth was doing stretches.

Jessie yawned, "We eat so much that I nearly lost track of how many I eat." She said, happily.

"Yeah, but nothing like waking up after a great night steal." Meowth smiled.

"Steal!" Mairin exclaimed.

"Ah! Huh?" Team Rocket turned around and yelped.

"It's you!" Jessie and James had a large sweat dropped behind their heads.

Meowth immediately hugged a wrapped up green box shape, "We don't know anything about a championship trophy!" He blurted out.

Volkner eyebrow twitched, Team Rocket's Meowth just blurted that there crime.

James picked up the package, "An-And if we did, a stolen one it wouldn't be in this package!" He blurted out, as well.

Alain twitched and rubbed his forehead.

"Oh, they wouldn't think we took it now." Jessie said sadistically, with a large sweat dropped.

"I should've known it was you three. That imprint looks familiar from somewhere and it was you that stolen it." ash growled out.

"Give it Team Rocket!" Mairin and Takato shouted.

"And you better prepared to make it trouble!" Jessie started, their motto.

"I suggest to make it double." James continues.

Meowth was struggling carrying the stolen package as he walked past them, "You take care of the motto, I'll take care of the trophy!" He said.

James and Jessie blinked, "Huh? Huh!" They ran after the scratch cat Pokémon.

"Hey, get back here!" Mairin and Takato shouted out.

The gang chased after Team Rocket.

"To protect the world from devastation!" Jessie continued the motto.

"To unite all people within our nation!" James followed.

"To denounce the evil of truth and love."

"To extend our reach to the stars above."

"Jessie."

"James."

"Team Rocket, blast of at the speed of light."

"Surrender now or prepare to fight, fight, fight."

"Meowth, dat's right." Meowth jumped in front of them and he tossed the package to James.

"Ah!" James caught it in surprise.

"We need to scram now!" Meowth shouted.

"Okay!" James and Jessie said.

As they ran along the docks, they saw a Seadra boat.

"Look its a boat!" James pointed out.

"Great, we'll swipe dat!" Meowth said.

Team Rocket got onto the Seadra boat.

"Okay you two, step on it!" Meowth ordered.

"Ah! / Kya!" James and Jessie both looked down and saw pedal, "This is a pedal boat!"

"Dat's why I said, step on it!" Meowth repeated.

James and Jessie both sighs, "Oh..." They started to pedal and the Seadra boat, started to move.

The gang arrived when Team Rocket left the docks on a pedal Seadra boat.

"There getting away." Mairin said.

"Lapras, I choose you!" ash sent out the transport Pokémon.

"Gyarados, go!" Alain sent out the atrocious Pokémon.

"Lapp!"

"Grrr!"

"Follow that boat!" Both trainers ordered.

"Lap!"

"Grr!"

Both Pokémon chased after Team Rocket.

"We can't pedal this thing fast enough, they'll catch up for sure." James complained.

"We wouldn't go any faster if you keep complaining!" Meowth yelled. "Huh?"

The Seadra boat, started to move and pulled to another side.

"The current is pulling us out!" James exclaimed.

"What's happening?!" Jessie asked, shouting.

Then a fog appeared.

"It's foggy." James said, confused.

Meowth smirked, "Perfect. Now the twerps wouldn't spot us in this thick fog." He said.

The gang was confused about this fog that appeared and lost sight of Team Rocket.

"This is strange." Volkner said.

"This fog just came out of nowhere." Alain said.

"Where did they go?" Mairin asked.

"We can't actually see anything in this thick fog." ash replied.

Team Rocket stolen boat was drifting, till they heard some creaking noise and a huge, old, broken and rust ship appear in front of them.

"A ship?" Jessie looked up.

"It looks abandoned." James commented.

"Let's see." Meowth suggested.

They got aboard the old ship and looked around.

"Ahahahahaha, nobody here, expect for Team Rocket." Meowth announced.

"This is a prefect place to hide out." Jessie said, happy.

"It's about time we have good luck." James smiled.

"Yeah, the chances must be a million to one, finding a ship like this." Meowth said.

James eyes closed, smiled, "Thats right Meowth, the only other kind of ship found floating like this, are those old haunted ships that-" His face turned blue, "Did... I... say..."

"Haun...ted..." Jessie finished.

"... Yeah..." Meowth looked at them.

Team Rocket turned paled, hugged each other and shivered, freaked out now.

Then the ship started to do some spooky things, like creaks was heard and the door on the ship, opened and closed, opened and closed.

"Now, we've done it..." Jessie said, freaked out.

"We manage to hitch a ride on SS, Spook Ship." James muttered.

"Lucky us..." Meowth said, dryly.

Behind Team Rocket was a floating... ghost?

Team Rocket turned around and they regretted it, "HAAAAAA!" They screamed and ran, but the ship board floor, was broken beneath them and they fell through. "AHHAAAAAAA!"

"With this fog, we wouldn't be able to see anything." Alain said.

"Yeah." ash agreed.

"We should head back, this fog can get dangerous." Volkner suggested.

Light and Raichu ears twitched, hearing a loud creak noise, they turned to it, "PIKA!" "RAI!" They both yelped.

ash turned and saw what it was, she began to pale.

"Holy Arceus..." Both kids shivered.

Alain and Volkner looked at the ship.

"That ship is..." Volkner muttered.

"Seems like Team Rocket is on there." Alain said, he pointed towards the Seadra boat that was next to the ship.

ash whined in the her mind, 'Why a Ghost ship of all things!'

The gang got aboard the old ship even if ash is afraid, she has to get the trophy from Team Rocket.

"This ship it must've been the ship that the drivers have raised." Volkner said.

"It's spooky." Mairin said.

"Cold." Takato added.

"And really creepy." Both kids said.

ash grimace as she clutched to Volkner's jacket, "Lets just find Team Rocket, get the trophy and leave this ship." She said and shivered, she looked behind, sensing something. "Huh..."

Volkner looked down at his girlfriend with a amused expression, "You really can deal with ghost related things, can't you?" He asked.

"Ghost Pokémon, I can deal with but anything like real ghost is a big N-O, no." ash replied.

Alain chuckled, he remembered his girlfriend expression back at Lavender Tower.

ash flinched, She groaned and hit her face into her boyfriends jacket.

With Team Rocket, they have been wondering around the ship, looking for away out.

"We've been walking all over this ship and we still can't find a way out!" Jessie complained.

"Yeah." Meowth agreed.

"It seems like we've been walking around in circles." James said, as he carried the trophy package. "It's like a maze."

TAP! TAP! Something tapped Jessie's back twice.

"Quit it, I'm thinking." Jessie said.

Tapped twice again.

Jessie snapped, "Enou-" Her face paled immediately when she turned around.

James and Meowth looked behind and paled immediately.

"AAHHHHHHHH!" Team Rocket screamed in fright and ran, fast.

The 'ghost' reached for the trophy on James back, it pulled it.

"H-help!" James shouted.

Jessie and Meowth grabbed James' legs, "Don't you let that trophy go!" They shouted at him.

A second 'ghost' appeared and gave all three of them a lick? And Team Rocket became paralysis, then collapsed onto the floor, fainting.

The first 'ghost' grabbed the trophy and both 'ghost' took off.

The gang went down into the ship, looking around for Team Rocket.

"Where can Team Rocket be?" Mairin asked, as stayed close to her brother.

"Well if Team Rocket went up, we should've ran into them." Takato answered.

"So they are still here."

ash felt two presence, 'This feeling again...' She thought, she pulled Volkner's hand and she began to walk towards a location on the ship.

"ash ?"

"Nee-chan?"

"Pikapi?"

"Rai Rai."

"Don't ask. I'm just following my instinct or I'm feeling two Pokémon on this ship." ash responses, as she continues to walk, when she follows her instincts she loses focus on the ghost related things. Weird but very helpful!

They continued to follow ash and came to stop at a opened door.

"Here." Alain opened the door and saw what they were looking for, the Orange League Championship trophy.

"Ah! The trophy." Mairin said.

"Yeah but where is Team Rocket?" Takato asked.

Light and Raichu sensed two other Pokémon in this room.

"Pikachu! (Come on out!)" Light shouted.

"Rai. (Now.)" Raichu ordered.

"Light, Raichu, whats wrong?" Mairin asked.

"We're not alone." Volkner said.

And two 'ghost' figures appeared in front of the trophy.

"G-G-ghost!" Mairin paled.

"No, their not." Alain eyes narrowed, "Zoroark." He sent out the illusion fox Pokémon.

"Arf." Zoroark appeared.

The two 'ghost' flinched.

"Remove their cover. Agility." Alain commanded.

The illusion fox Pokémon disappeared from his spot and reappeared in his original spot but two white sheets in his claws.

"Gastly Gas."

"Haunter Haunter."

The real appearance of the 'ghost'.

"Their Gastly and Haunter." ash said.

"But what are Gastly and Haunter doing here on this ship?" Volkner questioned.

"Haunter Haunt. (We're here because of the trophy.)" The gas Pokémon pointed to the Orange League Championship trophy.

"The trophy?" Takato frowned.

Gastly nodded, "Gas Gastly Gastly. (It belongs to our master.)" It said.

"What do you mean-" ash was cut off.

"It's ours!" The door forced opens and revealed Team Rocket.

"Team Rocket!" Mairin exclaimed.

"That trophy is ours!" Meowth exclaimed.

"That's right, we put a lot of work into stealing that trophy." James agreed.

"You won't get it without a fight." Jessie added.

Alain groaned, "Zoroark use Hypnosis on Team Rocket." He ordered.

Zoroark snickered, he disappeared and reappeared in front of Team Rocket; Jessie and James, his eyes glowed blue and they started to feel tired and then they fell the floor, fast asleep.

Meowth paled and looked at them nervously, "Can't we talk about this?" He asked, taking a step back.

The two gas Pokémon looked at each and nodded.

Haunter flew forward and grabbed Meowth by the head with his claw.

"Ahh........" Meowth started to feel woozy in the head and his eyes went blank.

"Eh?" ash blinked.

Meowth turned around and bowed at the gang, "Greetings, we are Gastly and Haunter." He spoke up, like he was being control.

"Must be Haunter's doing, he is using Meowth as a communication to talk to us." Volkner said.

"Reminds me of the incident back at Hutber Port." Alain commented, when Meowth was being control by the giant Tentacruel.

Meowth raised a his left paw and point it at the trophy, "For centuries we have guarded the Orange League Island Championship trophy, you see there."

"Erm, did you say centuries?" Mairin said, unsure.

"Dat's right."

"Gastly." Gastly used its powers and the area turned to a bright blue sky scenery.

"Woah." ash said.

"Look down." Zoroark spoke, in telepathy.

The gang looked down and saw a small version of this ship but it was in great condition.

"How cool." Takato and Mairin said, awed.

"Our master was the captain of this ship. This ship carries goods, from one island to another and it was always welcomed in every port. The Captain loved Pokémon and especially prized us."

"But one night we were caught in a terrible storm and the sunk to the bottom of the sea."

The gang watched as the ship sunk into the sea.

"From this day forward, we have guarded our master treasure, the Pokémon trophy, he won from the Orange League. Then a few days ago, humans came and took our master prized precession. That's when we took control of this ship and went in search of our Captains treasure."

"So cool, a real sunken ship." Takato said.

"And its amazing how the ship was raised by Gastly and Haunter." ash complimented.

"Now our the trophy is back where it belongs."

"Wow, the captain must've a really great Pokémon trainer to win that." Mairin commented.

"See for yourself." The scenery changed.

The gang looked around at the Orange League stadium, seeing it in perfect condition back then.

"It really is amazing, before it was in ruins now." Volkner said

They watched as the Captain was using Gastly to battle against a Beedrill and he won.

"Yes, the Captain was a fine Pokémon trainer."

The Captain held the trophy in his hand and raised it into the air.

"And we were proud to help him win the championship."

"I herby a challenge to all worthy trainers to dares approach me next. You." The gang heard the Captain said and then started to point fingers in different directions, "You. Or You." He pointed towards the gang last.

"Pika?" Light blinked.

And the scenery faded away, revealing their original place on the ship.

"We hope that you can understand why we can never allowed anyone to take this trophy from here."

The gang nodded.

"We understand." ash said.

"You were only trying to protect your master trophy." Alain said.

"Even after 3 centuries." Volkner added.

"The memories of our master will remind alive in us forever and now the time has come for you to leave this place."

"Okay." ash nodded.

Haunter lets go of Meowth head and flew back in front of trophy with Gastly.

Meowth blinked twice and looked around, "Huh? Huh? What happen?" He then ran towards Jessie and James who are still sleeping, "Hey! Wake up you idiots! WAKE UP!"

"Argh..." James and Jessie both blinked tiredly and they woke up intensely, "HUH! What happen!"

Team Rocket saw the gang with the trophy behind the group, "OUR TROPHY!" They shouted and ran towards it.

"Your trophy?!" Mairin exclaimed.

"It's not yours. Light, Thunder Shock them." ash ordered.

"Piiikkaaachuuuuu!" Light fired a bolt of electricity towards Team Rocket.

"Zoroark, Shadow Claw." Alain said.

Zoroark attack them and sent them flying out the ship, breaking the ceiling.

"TEAM ROCKET IS BLASTING OFF AGAIN!"

"That's it." ash said.

Both gas Pokémon looked at each other nodded.

Haunter disappeared and to reappear a few seconds later with two stones in its claw, "Haunter, Haunter. (You can have these, as a thank you.)" He showed them DNA colour stones.

The gang gasped, "Mega Stones."

"Where did you get these?" Volkner asked.

"Gastly Gastly Gastly Gas. (We found them when we were in search for our master trophy.)" Gastly said.

Zoroark felt connected to them, "Father, why do I feel weird with them?" He asked, confused.

Alain looked at the illusion fox Pokémon with a thoughtful look, "You mean like, connected, right?" He asked.

"Exactly like that!" Zoroark nodded.

"Two more Stones that are newly discovered Mega Stones. Only this time that they both belong to Zoroark." ash said.

Zoroark smiled, "Right."

"Reminds of Charizard's Mega Stone. X and Y." Alain said. "They can change into two forms."

"What other Mega Stones are about to be discovered?" Volkner question.

"Raichu Rai Rai. (Who knows about them.)" Raichu answered.

As the gang were now off the ship on Lapras and Gyarados backs, they watched as the ship had a purple outline glow and it started to fly away.

"Wow, you don't see that everyday." Takato said, he borrowed his sister PokéNav to take pictures, he is so placing this picture as a memory of witness a real live ghost ship.

"Yeah." Mairin agreed.

"They must be moving the ship so nobody would find it and the trophy." Volkner said.

"Still it was pretty amazing how the Orange League looked back then." ash smiled.

"True." Alain smiled.

"Pikapi!" Light waved at the ship.

"Raichu!" Raichu waved as well.

And so thanking the two 'Captains' Pokémon, Gastly and Haunter, our heroes now watch with new sense of wonder as the haunted ship as it slowly drifts in the night.
