TROVITA ISLAND; THIRD ORANGE LEAGUE GYM! MISTY MEETS HER MATCH?

Today we found our heroes ferry boat to Trovita Island, where ash and Alain will earn their third Orange League Gym Badge.

"Hey, what are those spiky rock things?" Takato asked, curiously, seeing lots of them.

"Oh those, are just rock formation that rose up from the ocean when Trovita Island rose as well." ash answered.

"Wonder what this gym is like?" Mairin questioned.

"Well, every gym is showing the bond between the trainer and Pokémon." Alain responses.

Light and Raichu both blinked and then two more times, "Pika! / Rai!" They both exclaimed.

"Pika Pika! (Someone is drowning!)" Light exclaimed, pointing towards the ocean.

"Say what?!" The Ketchum siblings gasped.

"HELPPPP! Please, somebody! Help me!" The little girl screamed out.

The gang was shocked, a little girl with a Pokémon, Seel and they were struggling against the whirlpool that trapped them.

"She's drowning!" Takato said.

"We have to do something fast!" Misty gasped.

"Please help! Somebody help!" The little girl continues to scream.

"Hurry!" Mairin said, worriedly.

Misty gave Togepi to Mairin to hold, "Dewgong, I need your help!" She sent out the sea lion Pokémon.

"Dewgong!" The Pokémon said, appearing.

"Someone please get my broth-" The little girl and Seel both sunk into the whirlpool.

From the Trovita Island, at the top of a cliff.

"Mahri! Marhi, where are you?!" A young teen male voice shouted, worriedly.

The young man search through the binoculars, looking for 'Mahri' and he saw a young orange hair teen with Dewgong.

"Huh." He watched them closely.

"Lets go Dewgong." Misty said, she took a deep breath and they both drove in.

"Dewgong Gon." Dewgong swam faster, seeing the little girl and it's pre-evolved form.

Misty grabbed both of them and they headed up to the surface.

"Misty! Over here!" ash called out on her transport Pokémon.

"Pikachu!" Light called out.

"Dewgong, lets get them both over to Lapras." Misty said.

Dewgong nodded, it swam towards the transport Pokémon.

Back on Trovita Island, the young man, continued and watched Misty.

He watched as Misty handed the little girl over to ash, who grabbed her and place her on Lapras' back.

Misty hugged her Pokémon with a smile, who hugged back.

"She's great." He said, with a smile.

✿ ---- ⇒ [Break Scene] ⇐ ---- ✿

ash, Misty and the little girl all sat on the back of Lapras, heading back to the boat, the transport Pokémon swam beside it.

"That was a close call. What exactly were you doing out there in the first place?" ash asked, it was odd for a little girl to be out here in the first place, by herself especially.

The little girl frowned, "I was swimming with Seel near the beach but the ocean pulled us out." She answered, she was expecting to be caught in a whirlpool.

"You have to be careful in the ocean." Misty spoke up.

"Huh?" The little girl looked at Misty.

"The current can be dangerous and you always make sure that you swim with other people around. Okay?"

"Uh uh." The little girl nodded, with a smile.

"And seal."

"Ahahaha." They both laugh.

ash smiled at them.

"Pikapi." Light smiled.

When the gang reached the dock, they heard some voices.

"There she is!"

"She's okay?"

"Thank Arceus."

ash gently grabbed the little girl and lifted up, placing her on top of the dock, "Here you go."

The little girl smiled at ash, "Thank you." She said.

"Mahri!" The teen around 18 with dark auburn hair colour, wearing a long sleeve black button shirt with a tan grey vest, black pants and black shoes.

"Big brother!" The little girl, named Mahri ran towards the teen and hugged him.

"Mahri, don't you ever go swimming alone ever again." The teen scolded, gently.

"I won't." Mahri nodded.

The young teen turned to the group, "I, thank you so much for saving my little sister." He said, greatly.

"It's fine."  said, she returned back her Lapras, but not before giving him a treat; a poffin.

"Lapp~" lapras enjoyed the treat, before he was returned back to his Pokéball.

"It's a good thing that we were there." Misty said.

The young male teen, place his sister down, he turned towards the Cerulean Gym Leader, "I saw what you did for saving my little sister, you were amazing." He praised, looking into her eyes.

Takato jaw dropped.

Mairin and Mahri both squealed.

Alain and Volkner, slightly snorted, the boy is in love.

ash giggled.

"I'm Rudy Ziggy and you are?" The male teen asked.

Misty had a blush across her face, "I'm Misty Waterflower, the Cerulean Gym Leader." She replied.

"Misty. It's a lovely name." Rudy said.

Misty blushed, remains, "Thank you. Rudy Ziggy? The Trovita Island Gym Leader?" She had to ask.

"Yes."

"That's great, we don't have to go looking." Misty smiled, "ash, we found the Gym Leader." She looked at the indigo-black hair girl.

ash nodded, "Yeah we did. Hi Rudy, I'm ashley and this is Alain. We wish to challenge you for a badge." She said.

Rudy nodded, he notice the body language of the two males behind her, saying that she is taken, "I take it that you two already challenged the other Orange Island Gym Leaders?" He asked.

"Yes, we did. We have the Coarl-Eye Badge and Sea-Ruby Badge." Alain responses and showing the badge he has pin to his inside jacket.

"Excellent."

"So what do are the challengers?" ash asked.

"It's simple. The first one is a Target Test and the second one is a Pokémon Battle but we fight using the same type of Pokémon." Rudy explained, his challengers.

"Sounds interesting." Volkner said.

"Very."  nodded.

"Than shall we start?" Rudy said.

Rudy led the group to a the first challenge area, "We are going to ride a speed boat for this challenge, it's makes it more challenging for the challengers." He explained, "We'll be going around the island twice. So who's first?"

"I am." ash said, she stood up in front, carefully.

"Good luck." Mairin and Takato, stayed behind with Volkner since there wasn't enough room.

Rudy and Misty. Alain and Mahri and finally ash in the front.

"Thanks."

"Ready... Set and... Go!" One of Rudy helpers, waved the red flag.

The speed boat started.

"The target will appear throughout randomly in the area, you have to hit them all." Rudy explained, as he was steering the speed boat.

"Okay." ash understood.

The first target appeared.

"ash." Alain said.

ash threw a Pokéball in the air, "Alizeh, use Air Slash!" She called out.

"Brez~ Brezeon~" The feather breeze Pokémon appeared and opened her mouth, raising her head, a circle of clear spinning energy forms in front of her mouth, she then whips her head down and firing the circle like a vertical disc at the target, destroying it.

Rudy whistled impressed, "Not bad."

"Oh, it's a Brezeon." Mahri awed at the Pokémon flying.

Alizeh flew down at the little auburn hair girl and smiled, "Brez~"

"Gastly, Shadow Ball." ash called out.

"Gas Gastly." The gas Pokémon appeared in front of ash, surprising the others, expect for Alain, wondering when that Pokémon come out, he fired a Shadow Ball at another target, destroying it.

"Another one." Alain warned.

"Miyuki, Ice Shard!" ash sent out the the Alolan Vulpix.

"Vulpix!" Miyuki appeared on the boat, she fires shards of ice towards the target, destroying them.

Mahri awed at the white Vulpix, "Wow..."

"What a beautiful Vulpix." Misty awed as well.

Miyuki sense someone is watching her, she turned around and saw a little girl, she walked up carefully, "Vulpix~" She tilted her head.

"An Alolan Vulpix." Rudy said, he knew about the Alola Region Pokémon, they are starting to appear from trainers now.

"They can only be found in the Alola Region." Alain added.

Rudy little sister, gently petted the fox Pokémon head, "So cold but cool at the same time." She giggled.

"Vulpix~!" Miyuki smiled and then headed back to her trainer side.

Three targets appeared from different sides.

"Miyu, Gastly, Ali!" ash called out and all Pokémon got ready, "Ice Beam, Dark Pulse, Air Cutter!"

"Vullllpixxx!" Miyuki fires an icy white beam at one target.

"Gasstlyyyy!" Gastly fires Dark Pulse at another target in the tree.

"Breeezzeeonn!" Alizeh fires multiple Air Cutter towards a another target in the mountain.

"Way to go ash!" Misty cheered.

"Togepriii~!" Togepi trilled.

"Pikapi!" Light cheered.

"Well done. You got them all." Rudy praised, "The next set is about to be up. Alain, your up now." He said.

Alain nodded, he carefully switch places with his girlfriend.

It was Alain's turn.

"Get ready." Rudy said.

The first target appeared.

"Haiteon, Shadow Ball!" Alain sent out the martial battle Pokémon.

"Haiteon." The male martial battle Pokémon appeared on the boat and immediately launched a Shadow Ball at the target, destroying it.

"What Pokémon is that?" Misty asked, she never seen one.

"Haiteon." ash replied, she pulled out her Pokédex to scan the Pokémon. "It's just been discovered. Here, listen."

[Haiteon Male, the Martial Battle Pokémon. The evolved form of Eevee, whiling level up holding a Black Belt. Unlike the female counterpart, male Haiteon loves to battle strong opponents and doesn't give up easily, even when its critically injured. They are brash and strong headed but also very fast.

Note: This Pokémon is a recently discovered form of Eevee.

Second Note: This Pokémon is Fighting-type.]

"Oh, a Fighting-type Eeveelution." Rudy said, impressed on the Pokémon information.

"Yes. There is a female counterpart apparently, but we'll never know till it's found." ash said.

"Meowstic use Energy Ball." Alain sent out the male constraint Pokémon.

"Meow~" The constraint Pokémon appeared on the boat, beside the Fighting-type Eeveelution and he immediately launched an Energy Ball at the target, destroying it.

"Eevee, use Swift." Alain called out the main source of the Eeveelution.

"Eevui!" The evolution Pokémon, fires multiple stars for her mouth, destroying the target.

Each Pokémon of Alain's continued to destroy each target that is appearing.

"Alain, heads up." ash warned.

"Haiteon, Focus Blast. Meowstic, Psybeam. Eevee, Hidden Power." Alain said.

"Haiiteon!" The martial battle Pokémon, fired a white energy orb from his mouth, at a target, destroying it.

"Meowwwwwsticc!" The male constraint Pokémon fires a multi colour beam from his paws, at a target, destroying it as well.

"Eeveuii!" The evolution Pokémon fires multiple white orbs around her body, towards a target, destroying the last one.

And while Alain has been doing the challenge, Rudy and Misty has been staring at each other, talking and smiling the whole time.

ash rolled her eyes, 'These two are sure like each other.' She thought, amused, 'Mairin, will definitely enjoy this. Though they do suit each other.'

Mahri was silently squealing and nodding, each time she looks at them.

Alain looked at his girlfriend who smiled at him and then pointed to the two people in the back of the speed back, he gave a quit glance and smiled, slightly at them, Misty is their close friend and she deserves this.

After the challenge was finished, the arrived back at the gym where Mairin, Takato and Volkner were waiting for them.

"Well, ash and Alain, excellent work on beating the first challenge. But you two still need to defeat me in the same type Pokémon battle tomorrow. What type will you choose?" Rudy asked them.

"Well, I'll go with Grass, Water and Dark." ash replied.

"Dragon, Rock and Fire." Alain replied.

Rudy nodded, "Very well, those are the types I will be battling you with." He said.

"And you want to say something to Misty, Rudy?" Volkner questioned, slightly amused how much he is staring at the Cerulean Gym Leader.

Misty looked at the gang, "Huh?"

"Yes. Misty, would you like to have dinner with us?" Rudy offered.

"Please, say yes." Mahri said, cutting in, "My brother is a very great cook."

"Uh, I..." Misty looked at the gang.

"Go Misty, we'll be here if you need us." ash assured.

Mairin nodded, "Thats right."

Misty smiled at them and then turned back to Rudy and Mahri, "Alright."

"Yayyyy!" Mahri cheered, she gently pushed Misty from the back.

Rudy led Misty towards one of the rooms, he waved back at the gang.

Mairin waved away.

Takato sighs, "Geeze, anymore staring I was going to us shout at them to go out." He grumbled.

ash giggled, "You realised that you would've embarrassed them, right?"

"It's better than hearing them flirt with each other." Takato retorted, immediately, he was about to gag.

Alain and Volkner chuckled at that.

"Let's get something to eat." ash said.

Takato forgot all about the two gym leaders flirting with each other, "FOOD!" He nodded, eagerly.

That night, Misty and Togepi were having dinner with Rudy and Mahri.

"Thank you. This food was delicious." Misty complimented.

"It sure is, like I said, my brother is a very great cook." Mahri praises her brother cooking skills.

"I'm glad you like it." Rudy smiled.

"You know something Misty, having you here is like having a big sister." Mahri blurted out, "I do wish that I did have a sister. My brother and the other boys are great and all but I'm the only girl here, so I wish to have an older sister like you Misty." She confessed.

Misty eyed widen is surprise.

"That's enough Mahri." Rudy scolded his sister.

"I see. Reminds me of Mairin, she said the same thing to ash before her brother and ash started dated." Misty said.

"Huh?" Both Ziggy siblings said.

[ Weird, romance stuff. I have no idea how!]

"You see, Mairin is lost her parents when she was only a five at the time and Alain's family has been close friends, adopted her immediately. Now, all the other people who raised Mairin are, how can I say this, not the right aged since they were old to a child eyes."

Mahri nodded, she understands what Misty mean.

"And Mairn met ash and her little brother Takato, she first thought that ash was thirteen because of her appearance but that was wrong."

"Wrong?" Rudy questioned.

"Yes, you see ash is only ten at the one and now she is eleven, she just looks tall for her age."

Mahri gapped, "Eleven. I thought she was thirteen."

Misty giggled, "Takato told me that his sister is mistaken a lot for that. Even I thought that. Now, let me continue, when they started to travel with them, Mairin began to see ash as an older sister she never had."

"What about Alain, shouldn't he be looking after her as well?" Rudy asked, curiously and confused.

"Alain does. But most of time and the only time he can actually look after Mairin is when they are indoor. From Mairin words, every time when they want to have a brother and sister time, they are always interpreted by fangirls and other girls who want to ask her brother on a date or try to flirt with him." Misty remembers the young Sycamore, rants, she was annoyed by them.

Rudy winced slightly, "I know that feeling. I get that a lot that's the reason why I rarely leave my island." He responded.

Misty fingers slight twitched, she didn't like the sound of that, "That's when ash appeared, her brother never looks at girls the way he looks at ash, he liked her and ash is clueless about relationships being only ten, even Mairin understood being so young, she even tried to get them together." She explains.

Rudy chuckled, he can imagine that, Mairin sounds like his little sister Mahri.

"Volkner appear and taken a liking to ash as well, Alain found out immediately and they talked about ash being different from others girls, so they kept contact with each other and they agreed on one thing."

"They both date ash. Far enough, from what I can tell, she loves them deeply, like they love her." Rudy commented, he seen the looks they even each other, it was equal love, you rarely see that in a three way relationship.

"Cute right. ash is the first ever girlfriend Alain and Volkner have and they swear to Arceus they refuse to be with anyone else, who isn't ash." Misty chuckled when Mairin called her on her Pokégear, she swiped Takato's Pokégear, to tell her the big news, she actually squealed when she heard about the three of them being together.

"Amazing." Mahri awed, "And then."

"And ever since the relationship, ash treated Mairin more like another family member and Alain does the same with Takato. Volker treats them like younger siblings he never add."

"Extend family. So Misty, after dinner want to see all my Pokémon?" Rudy asked, changing the subject.

Misty smiled, "I would love to." She said, happily.

After dinner was all finished and cleaned, the Ziggy siblings led Misty to a room of the gym, where all of Rudy Pokémon were.

Rudy has quite a lot; Ninetales, Electabuzz, Venomoth, Nidoking, Starmie, Exeggutor, Hitmonchan, Golem, Alakazam, Pidgeot, Rhydon, Dragonair, Sneasel and Granbull.

[A/N: Yes, I know there are no Dragonair, Sneasel and Granbull but I need other types as well.]

In the room all the Pokémon were dancing to music.

"You taught your Pokémon to dance?" Misty asked, amazed.

"That's right. You see I don't think that's enough to just teach Pokémon a lot of attacks, I found that the Pokémon abilities can improve and change if they learn to do something completely different." Rudy answered.

Misty nodded, that's his way of training.

"That's why my brother gives all the Pokémon dancing lesson." Mahri said.

"So Misty, shall we dance?" Rudy bowed towards the Cerulean Gym Leader.

"Huh?" Misty had a small blush across her face, she was surprised.

Mahri smiled, "Come on Togepi!" She grabbed hold of the spike ball Pokémon from Misty's arm, she pulled away, dancing with him.

"Togeii!" Togepi trilled, in happiness as he waved his small arms around.

"Okay." Misty smiled, happily.

So both Gym Leaders took the dance floor and dance, together, enjoying the music.

"Misty." Rudy started, as they were still dancing, "Mahri and I would be so happy if you stayed here with us." He confessed.

Misty was shocked and surprised, by what Rudy said, "I-I don't know." She said, honestly, conflicted.

"Please, think about it and I'll hear your answer after the matches tomorrow." Rudy said.

Misty looked down, sadly, not sure.

Meanwhile with the gang, ash has borrow the gyms kitchen and cooked them all up some dinner.

Takato was stuffing his face, "Wah~ I need this." He munched on some meat.

ash has called Professor Oak to switch out some Pokémon and get the ones she needed for the battle tomorrow.

"What Pokémon are you using?" Mairin asked her brother and ash.

"Fomantis, Aquarius and Proteus. Fomantis is close to evolving so, this battle will push her." ash answered.

"Tyrunt, Darmanitan and Gabite who is also close to evolving." Alain answered.

Later that night, ash took a quick night walk with Alain and Volkner, while the kids were both in bed, asleep with the Pokémon.

As they continued to walk and talk about things, they saw Misty outside, awake.

"Misty?" ash saw the Cerulean Gym Leader expression, "Hey, whats wrong?"

Misty looked at them and wa surprised they were awake still but she sighs, "Well, you could say something happen..." She said.

"What? Rudy didn't do anything bad to you, did he?" ash asked, worriedly.

If there is one thing that ash hates is people picking on her friends and Misty is a close friend of hers.

Misty shook her head, "Oh no, nothing like that." She sighs.

"Then, what exactly happen?" Alain asked.

"It's like this." Misty explained to them what Rudy said and asked her.

Volkner raised an eyebrow, "Straight forward guy."

Misty blushed.

ash looked at the Cerulean Gym Leader, "What did you say Misty?" She asked.

"W-well, I- I'm confused. I have to return back to Gym to take care of it and all as a Gym Leader, but I do enjoy travelling as well." Misty admitted.

ash nodded, they have met up with Misty a couple of times now, she likes to travel.

[A/N: Weird relationship response, I have no idea how. Don't judge me!]

"Hey Volkner, ash, how does a long distance relationship work with you two?" Misty asked, curiously.

ash blinked twice, "Wha?"

Volkner blinked, he wasn't expecting that, "Well, it's not that simple to other people views but it's for me." He explained, calmly, "You see long distance relationship from what I've seen and heard about doesn't keep relationships long. Unless one of them breaks up or just got to another person."

ash frowned, "... ...To be honest I never really thought about that long distance relationship till you said it. Alain and Volkner are my first boyfriends and I don't think I'm going to be with another, never, ever." She confessed.

Alain hugged his girlfriend from behind, he wrapped his arms around her waist, "Misty, it's works different ways. I keep contact with Volkner to give him news about our journey and all." He responses. "Even before we started to date ash."

"Another is Flint, Flint actually will drag me out of my gym to others regions, just for a small trip." Volkner grunted, "This time since the Sinnoh League isn't starting yet, I'm free for this year, till I have to return."

Misty was wondering herself, "How do-"

Volkner interrupted, "How did I get a year of vacation? Simple, really I contacted the Pokémon League, get permission and they agreed because there is no Sinnoh League yet." He explains.

Misty nodded.

"Misty, you like Rudy and he likes you." ash states, bluntly.

Misty flushed red, "H-Huh?!"

Alain rolled his blue eyes, "We've seen the way you two look at each other, glazing into each other eyes. Even Mahri, Mairin and Takato has seen it." He commented.

"Takato was about to yell at you two to ask each other out already." Volkner said. "He was about to lose it."

Misty covered her face embarrassed, "Oh dear Arceus..." She turned red, "Okay... I like him a lot. He is the first person that actually shown interest in me and I think he is the first I've shown interest too." She confessed.

ash nodded, "Well, all I can say is that, it's your decision, your life, your happiness and I'm sure that Rudy will accept what ever you decide." She responses.

Misty eyes widen, 'She's right. It's my life. So I get to decide what I want to do with it.' She thought and then smiled, "Your right. Thank you."

They enjoyed the night silent before heading off to their beds.

The next day it was time for the first battle, ash against Rudy.

The other were inside a hot air balloon, watching the battle form above.

"This first battle is about to be underway! We have ashley Ketchum and Rudy Ziggy!" The referee announced, speaking on the microphone, he was broadcasting it on Pidgeot back, "This will be a three-on-three battle an whoever knocks out two Pokémon, will be the winner!"

"The first round is a Grass-Type Battle!"

"Fomantis, I choose you." ash sent out the sickle grass Pokémon.

"Fomantis." The sickle grass Pokémon said, ready.

Rudy whistled, "Impressive an Alola Region Pokémon. Very well then, I choose... Exeggutor!" He sent out the coconut Pokémon.

"Exeggutor." It said.

"And so the first battle is Fomantis against Exeggutor!"

"Fomantis use Sunny Day and then Signal Beam." ash started off.

"Fommman!" The sickle grass Pokémon launches a bright up into the sky, making the field sunny and then she fired a rainbow colour beam from her arm.

"Exeggutor use Protect." Rudy commanded.

"Exeggutor!" It said, brought up a green barrier around itself, protecting it from the Signal Beam attack.

"Use X-Scissor!" Fomantis crosses her sickle together and they glow light pink, she then charges at the coconut Pokémon and she slice it directly in an 'X' like fashion.

"Exeggutor!" It cried out in pain.

Rudy gasped, "Exeggutor use Psychic!"

The coconut Pokémon eyes glowed blue, the outline of blue around the sickle grass Pokémon and it lifted Fomantis into the air.

"Fom!" Fomantis struggled against the Psychic attack.

"Throw it!" Exeggutor sent Fomantis across the field.

"Fomantis use Signal Beam!" Fomantis maintains her balance in the air, she quickly fires a Signal Beam and it was another direct hit.

"No way." Misty gasped.

"Exeggutor! Exeggutor are you okay?" Rudy asked his Pokémon.

The coconut Pokémon nodded, weakly.

Fomantis stood up and she froze, began to glow and change appearance.

"Fomantis is evolving." Mairin said.

"Lurantis!" The newly Pokémon cried out.

Alain who was watching from the hot air balloon, pulled out his Pokédex and scanned the bloom sickle Pokémon.

[Lurantis, the Bloom Sickle Pokémon. The evolved form of Fomantis, during the daytime. Lurantis uses their flower-like appearance and aroma to lure in opponents and defeat them.

Note: Lurantis is the only Pokémon capable using the move, Solar Blade.]

Rudy knew that he was in trouble with this, "Exeggutor use Sludge Bomb!" He commanded.

"Lurantis use Leafage." ash said.

Exeggutor fires purple sludge bombs towards the bloom sickle Pokémon who destroyed them with Leafage.

"Leafage once more." Lurantis quickly fires more Leafage attack, hitting the coconut Pokémon.

"Ex Exeggutor..." It said, weakly, struggling to stand.

"End this with Solar Blade." The bloom sickle Pokémon, absorbs sunlight into her body fast, thanks to the Sunny Day in effect, she forms a large yellow ball of light above her head.

"Exeggutor dodge it!" Rudy exclaimed.

"Lurantis!" Lurantis then raised one of her hands and turns the ball into a giant blade of yellow light, she then slams the blade down onto the coconut Pokémon.

Exeggutor collapsed on the ground with swirling eyes.

"Exeggutor is unable to battle! Lurantis wins the Grass-type round!"

"Exeggutor return." Rudy returned back his unconscious Pokémon.

"Lurantis~" The bloom sickle Pokémon smiled at her trainer.

"Great work. Take a good rest." ash recalled back her Pokémon

"The next match is a Water-type battle!"

"I choose you, Aquarius!" ash sent out the pop star Pokémon.

"Bro~" Aquarius appeared, clapping her fins together.

Misty squealed at the sight of the Alola Water Starter Pokémon, "Sooo cuteeee~~" She said. "What Pokémon is that?"

Takato face plant, "You squeal, without even knowing the Pokémon?"

"Yes, but I know it's a Water-type Pokémon." Misty declared, seriously.

Mairin and Mahri looked at Misty in awe.

Alain had a small smile on his face, "Good instinct." He commented.

"It's a Brionne. Also an Alola Region Water Starter Pokémon." Volkner responded.

Misty gloom, "A Starter Pokémon is definitely difficult to found in the wild." She sighs.

"Togepriii~~" The spike ball Pokémon trilled, excitedly.

"I choose... Starmie." Rudy sent out the mysterious Pokémon.

"Hieya!" It said, appearing.

"And before we start. Music, please." Rudy snapped his fingers.

"What?" ash blinked.

The gang looked to the side, seeing on of Rudy workers being out a music box, he played it and music began to play.

Misty blinked, "Oh..."

"Music?" Mairin and Takato tilted their heads in question.

Aquarius followed the music beat as well, "Brionne~~" She flipped, backwards.

"Aquarius use Water Gun." ash started.

"Starmie." Rudy simply said.

"Heiya!" The mysterious Pokémon spun around, it dodged left and right, according to the beat of the music.

"Oh." ash smiled, "Rudy must've trained all his Pokémon to dance, pretty cool." She said.

Rudy heard what ash said and nodded, "Yes I have and thanks for the compliment." He responses. "But that's not all. Starmie, Thunderbolt."

Starmie spun even faster and electricity static started to appearing around the Pokémon, the mysterious Pokémon fires Thunderbolt attack.

"Use Protect." Aquarius brought up a green barrier all around herself, protecting her from the Thunderbolt attack.

"Starmie use Psychic, to lift up Brionne into the air."

"Disarming Voice, Aqua."

Starmie glowed outline blue and before it could use Psychic on the pop star Pokémon, Aquarius opened her mouth and released a beam of light blue hearts in a loud screeching voice, hitting the mysterious Pokémon who lost focus.

"Starmie, tried a Thunder attack!" Rudy called out.

"Heiya!" The mysterious Pokémon fires a Thunder attack and hitting the pop star Pokémon dead on.

"Brionne!" The pop star Pokémon withstood the electricity course through her body, her tail glowed metallic colour and she slammed her tail into the ground, redirecting the Electric-type attack, "Brio~" She sighs in relief.

Rudy eyes wide in shock and surprise, "Well, that was unexpected."

"Aquarius let's go!" ash said.

"Brionne!" The pop star Pokémon nodded, but she froze and began to glow, she was evolving and when the light died down, revealing a newly evolved Pokémon, "Primarina~~" Her voice sang.

"You've evolved." ash smiled and scanned the soloist Pokémon.

[Primarina, the Soloist Pokémon. The evolved form of Brionne. It controls its water balloons with song. The melody is learned from others of its kind and is passed down from one generation to the next.

Note: Primarina is the only known Pokémon capable of learning the move, Sparkling Aria.]

Misty had hearts in her eyes, at the sight of the soloist Pokémon, "Sooooo beautiful~~" She squealed.

"Lovely!~" Mairin added.

"Pretty!~" Mahri awed at the Pokémon.

"Now that is also unexpected." Rudy said, "Starmie use Ice Beam!"

The mysterious Pokémon fires an Ice Beam towards the soloist Pokémon.

"Dazzling Gleam." ash countered.

The soloist Pokémon immediately fires a Dazzling Gleam and both attacks, cancelled each other.

"Moonblast." The soloist Pokémon launches a large pink energy ball towards the mysterious Pokémon.

"Water Pulse!" The mysterious Pokémon launches a water orb attack towards the Moonblast.

Both attacks collided against each other, cancelling each other out, once again.

"Aquarius use Sparkling Aria." Aquarius stands up on her tail and sings, forming an orb of water above her head, she then throws the orb at the mysterious Pokémon.

"Heiya!" Starmie cried out, getting a directly hit from the Sparkling Aria attack.

"Alright, end this. Use Icy Wind on the ground and then Liquidation." The soloist Pokémon blew cold wind on the ground, freezing around the mysterious Pokémon area and it before anyone knows it, Aquarius slams into Starmie with a full-blast of water.

Rudy gasped, "Starmie!" He watched as his mysterious Pokémon was sent crashing into the ground, sliding till it stopped.

Starmie core blinked three times before it started to weaken and it it stop, meaning its unconscious.

"Starmie is unable to battle! Primarina wins the Water-type round! So the victory of two matches, this battle goes to the challenger, ashley Ketchum of Pallet Town!" The referee announced.

"No way." Mahri gasped, "Big brother lost." She said, sadly.

"He did but he gave it his all." Misty smiled.

Mairin nodded, "That's right."

"Primarina~" Aquarius smiled at her mother.

ash hugged her soloist Pokémon, "Thank you." She said.

Rudy smiled, before he recalled back his mysterious Pokémon back to its Pokéball. "Congratulations ash. You've proven yourself an excellent trainer." He complimented, "Here is the Spike-Shell Badge." He held out a yellow triumphant star turban shell with a small pink gemstone.

ash took the badge, "Thank you very much, Rudy." She said.

"Your welcome and you deserve it. Now then." Rudy looked towards the flying hot air balloon, "Alain, are you ready?" He asked.

Alain looked down at the Gym Leader, "Sure."

The hot air balloon floated down, Alain and ash switched places.

"Good luck." ash smiled.

Alain nodded.

And once more the hot air balloon floated to the top, watching from above.

"This second battle is about to be underway! We have Alain Sycamore and Rudy Ziggy!" The referee announced, once again, "This will be a three-on-three battle an whoever knocks out two Pokémon, will be the winner!"

Both Gym Leader and Challenger were in position.

"The first match is a Dragon-Type battle!"

"Gabite, go." Alain sent out the cave Pokémon.

"Gabiragh!" The cave Pokémon growled out, appearing on the field.

"Interesting choice. I choose... Dragonair!" Rudy sent out the dragon Pokémon.

"Air~~" The dragon Pokémon appeared on the field.

"Dragonair use Ice Beam!" Rudy started off.

"Grab that Ice Beam with Dragon Claw, Gabite." Alain said.

The dragon Pokémon fires an icy beam towards the cave Pokémon, who charged towards the Ice Beam with his claws, the Ice Beam hits the Dragon Claw and Gabite absorb the attacks and his claws are now...

"Strike with Ice Dragon Claw." Gabite raised both his frozen claws and struck down the dragon Pokémon.

"Air!!" It cried out in pain.

"Dragonair! Quick use Blizzard!" Dragonair manages to hang on and blew a close range Blizzard attack.

"Rargh!" Gabite raised his arms to block the Blizzard attack as he was sent sliding away.

"Music please." Rudy said, he snapped his fingers together.

And once again music was heard throughout the field.

Dragonair levitated into the air, going around it circles.

"Let's see how fast it is." Alain muttered, "Dragon Pulse."

The cave Pokémon fires three Dragon Pulse towards the dancing dragon Pokémon, fast, who unnoticed by people but ash, Alain and Volkner's eyes, it narrowly dodged it.

"Its not fast." Alain smirked, "We can use it. Gabite, use Dual Chop."

"Gabiteee!" The cave Pokémon arms glowed green and he flew up charging towards the dragon Pokémon, it simultaneously hits Dragonair twice.

"AIRRRR!" It cried out in pain, sending crashing into the ground.

"Dragonair! Dragonair, get up and use Dragon Breath!" Rudy encourage, his Pokémon.

Dragonair struggles to get up, it shook its head and fires a Dragon Breath attack, hitting the cave Pokémon directly and causing a explosion.

"Is it over?" Mairin asked.

"No." Volkner said.

"This match is Alain's." ash states.

"Use Dragon Rush." Alain called out towards the smoke.

"Gargh!" A roared was heard and out came a bigger Pokémon, it charges forward, towards the dragon Pokémon, sending it crashing to the ground once more.

"AIR!" It cried out in pain and collapsed on the ground with swirling eyes.

"Rargh!" The newly evolved Garchomp snarled out.

Rudy eyes widen, "Gabite evolved. How did you know?" He asked, his opponent.

Alain sighs, as he run his fingers through his hair, "Gabite was already close to evolving, he just need a push." He answered.

"I see."

ash scanned the newly evolved mach Pokémon.

[Garchomp, the Mach Pokémon. The evolved form of Gabite. When it folds up its body and spreads its wings, it can fly like a jet plane at the speed of sound.]

"Dragonair is unable to battle! Garchomp wins, the Dragon-type match!" The referee announced.

Rudy recalled back his unconscious dragon Pokémon.

"Great job." Alain said, before returning back his mach Pokémon.

"The next battle is a Rock-type battle!"

"Tyrunt, go." Alain sent out the royal heir Pokémon.

"Tyrunt!" The royal heir Pokémon roared, as he appeared on the field.

Rudy whistled impressed, "Impressive. A fossil Pokémon." He said.

"A fossil Pokémon?" Misty and Mahri looked at the others.

"Yeah." Mairin nodded.

"Pretty much." Takato said.

"Here." ash pulled out her Pokédex and scanned the royal heir Pokémon.

[Tyrunt, the Royal Heir Pokémon. The pre-evolved form of Tyrantrum. Tyrunt's jaws are so big and powerful, it can crunch up to a car. If it doesn't like something, it responds with a wild tantrum.

Note: Tyrunt have spoiled and selfish natures, they will throw tantrums and run wild if it encounters something it does not like, and its strong jaws have enough force to shred an automobile.

Second Note: Tyrunt doesn't seem to realize its own strength; when frolicking with other Pokémon, it tends to unknowingly inflict grave injuries on them while playing.

Third Note: Tyrunt's have lived 100 million years ago, where theories suggest it might have had a different form then.]

ash blinked, "Different forms huh." She muttered, placing her Pokédex away.

"I choose... Golem!" Rudy sent out the megaton Pokémon.

"Golem Gol." It said, appearing.

Tyrunt roared at the megaton Pokémon, who glared back.

"Golem use Earthquake!" Rudy started off.

"Tyrunt use Iron Tail to jump." Alain said.

Before Golem could stomp the ground, to create an Earthquake attack, Tyrunt use his tail as a spring to jump into the sky.

"Use Iron Head, Golem." The megaton Pokémon jumped and charge directly at Tyrunt.

"Spin and Iron Dragon Tail." The royal heir Pokémon curled up and spun, his tail was covered in a greenish, silvery colour.

Both attacks hit each other and a clash of power has began.

"Tyrunt!" Tyrunt growled, he put more power into his tail and he overpowered the megaton Iron Head, sending it, crashing down in the ground first and another Iron Tail attack, slammed directly onto Golem's head.

"Golemmmm!" It cried out in pain.

The royal heir Pokémon moved away from the Pokémon and roared out, he froze and began to glow, evolve.

"Already?" Alain said, surprised. He has been training Tyrunt ever since he got it because this Tyrunt wanted to become strong and evolved into his next form.

"Tyrantrum!" The newly evolved despot Pokémon roared out.

"Oh, this just got a lot harder. Golem use Brick Break!" Rudy commanded.

The megaton Pokémon charged towards the despot Pokémon with his claws.

"Intercept that with Dragon Claw!" Alain countered.

The despot Pokémon roared, he charged towards Golem with both of his claws as well.

Both Pokémon snarled at each other when the attack hits each other, they hit head to head with Brick Break and Dragon Claw.

"Ice Fang." Tyrantrum pulled back and his jaws where glowing icy blue, he bit down on the arm of the megaton Pokémon and thanks to his ability Strong Jaw it was twice damage.

"GOLEMM!" It cried out in pain.

"Golem!" Rudy called out.

"End this with Iron Head." Alain said.

"Tyrantrum!" The despot Pokémon head turned metallic silver he slammed into Golem directly, sending it crashing towards the ground.

"Go Golem..." It said, unconsciously on the ground with swirling eyes.

"Golem is unable to battle! Tyrantrum wins the Rock-type round! So the victory of two matches, this battle goes to the challenger, Alain Sycamore from Lumiose City!" The referee declared.

Mahri looked down sadly, "My big brother lost again." She said.

Misty looked at Marhi with a find look, "Mahri, your brother did his best till the end." She said.

Mairin nodded, "That's right. It was a great battle." She said.

Rudy sighs and he recalls back his unconscious megaton Pokémon.

Alain smiled at Tyrantrum who roared once more, before he was returned back to his Pokéball.

"Well Alain, congratulations on winning these two challengers. You've proven yourself as a great trainer and the way you handle your Pokémon are excellent." The Gym Leader complimented on Alain's skills, "Here is proof of your victory here at the Trovita Island Gym. The Spike-Shell Badge." He handed it over.

Alain took the badge, "Thanks."

After the battle, it was time for the gang to continue on to the next island.

Takato rolled his eyes seeing how the Cerulean Gym Leader and Trovita Island Gym Leader are staring at each other again, he opened his mouth to say something.

ash covered her little brother's mouth, knowing what he is about to say, "Misty, don't you have something to say to Rudy?" She asked, curiously.

Misty blushed immediately, she knew what ash was talking about, "Yes." She looked at Rudy, "Rudy, I thought about what you offered last night and the truth is that... I would love to stay with you because I really like you..." Her face turned to a red colour.

Mairin and Mahri squealed, while everyone else who didn't know was surprised.

"But I'm need at the Cerulean Gym because I took over for my three older sisters, who are interested in Water Ballet, so I can't leave my gym alone." Misty explained.

Rudy smiled understanding, "I understand Misty, I can tell that you love your Cerulean Gym just like I love my gym. Mahri and I will support you anyway we can." He said.

Misty smiled, "Thanks a lot." She said, greatly.

ash lets go of her little brother mouth, "See Misty."

Takato sighs, "Finally!" He raised both arms in the air.

Alain and Volkner chuckled at that.

"Bye, bye everyone!" Mairin waved.

"See you next time Misty!" ash waved.

"Bye everyone and yeah, I'll see you all next time!" Misty waved back.

"Togepriii!" Togepi waved her tiny paws.

Misty decided to stay with Rudy before it's time for her to head back to Cerulean Gym.

"Pikapi!"

"Raichu!"

"Bye!" Takato waved.

Alain and Volkner gave them small wave, goodbye.

And so ash and Alain both have won their Third Orange League Badge, but you know the Cerulean Gym Leader and the Trovita Island Gym Leader both have won something too, each other hearts.
