MT. MOON AND CLEFFA'S EVOLUTION LINE

mairin began yawning and stretching his arms aboveher head, "So where are exactly?" she questioned.

"Hmmm, according to the PokéNav where headed to Mt. Moon, where we'll pass to get to the next city." ash said.

"Mt. Moon? That sounds romantic." Mairin said dreamily.

"Don't you think so ash nee?"mairin ask

ash sweat dropped, romantic stuff isn't really her thing, "Sorry Mairin but I'm not really a romantic understanding person." She said, "So your asking the wrong person."

"I heard of that place." Brock said, "People say that a long time ago a meteor crashed into that mountain."

"Really?" Mairin asked, "Is that true?"

"I'm not sure," Brock answered, "but the meteor is called the Moonstone."

"What's a Moonstone?"

"It's an evolutionary stone." Alain spoke up.

"You two know about it?" Brock questioned.

Alain nodded.

"Yeah, it let's Clefairy evolve into Clefable, Jigglypuff evolved into Wigglytuff, Nidorina into Nidoqueen, Nidorino into Nidoking, Skitty into Delcatty and Munna into Musharna." ash answered and explained.

"It's impressive how much you know about Pokémon." Brock complimented.

"Thanks, but I only know it thanks to hanging out at Professor Oak."ash said.

"You, Alain?"

"My grandpa, Professor Sycamore in the Kalos region." Alain replied.

Brock nodded.

"AHHHHH!"

Just then a scream was heard in the distance.

"What was that?" mairin gasped.

"It sounds like someone is in trouble." Brock said, "We better get it out."

They all ran to the source of the screaming, a man was being attacked by, a bunch of blue bat-like Pokémon.

"What in the- Zubat? In broad daylight?" ash questioned and scanned the Pokémon.

[Zubat, the Bat Pokémon. It checks its surroundings and location using reflections of ultrasonic waves from its mouth. Zubat live in caves and hate to fly outside in daylight.]

"If they hate daylight then why are they outside?" mairin asked.

"Who knows but first,pikachu, Thunder Shock them."ash said.

"Pika!"

Lightning launched an electric attack and electricity made all the wild Zubat leave in a real hurry.

"You alright?" Mairin asked.

Brock helped the unknown man up and he launched at the indigo/black haired girl with a death hug.

"Wha-?" ash gasped in shock and surprised.

"Oh thank you thank you thank you thank you!!" The man repeated

Alain twitched at bit.

"Pikaaa..." pikachu yelped, "Chuuuu!!!" She shock the unknown man.

"AHAHHHHH!" The man fell to the ground.

ash was able to get out of the electric attack by Alain who grabbed her wrist and pulled her out of the range.

ash sighs and smiled at Alain, "Thanks."

"No problem." Alain replied.

Mairin blinked and looked at the odd person, who was twitching, "You alright?"

"I'm alright." The man got up and grabbed ash's hands, "Did I mention how grateful I am?" He said.

Yuna sweat dropped, "..."

pikachu  growled at the man, making him let go of her trainer immediately.

"But to the main problem. Why were the Zubat attacking you?" Brock asked.

"They usually don't go it into the sunlight." Alain added.

"They both right, Zubat are nocturnal Pokémon so it's a little odd for them to be attacking in broad daylight." ash stated.

"Oh yes! I'll explain everything and my name is Seimour, I'm a Scientist and a Researcher." The man named Seimour introduced himself dramatically.

"..." The gang just looked at him.

"Odd man." ash commented.

"Very odd." Mairin chirped.

"I see. I'm ash and this is pikachu."

"Pikachu." pikachu waved.

"Mairin and my Pokémon Chespie."

"Chespin." Chespie waved at him.

"Alain."

"And I'm Brock."

The gang introduced themselves to him.

"Nice to meet you all and well you see it's because of this..." Seimour said pointing at the cave.

Inside the cave there were lots of light hanging on the walls of the rock.

"These light are the reason why." Seimour explained. "The cave is so light up, somebody set up these light purposefully throughout the whole cave. But the Pokémon who lives in this cave need the darkness." He told them, "Because they are confused and aggressive."

"It doesn't surprise me really." Brock said, "Zubat don't like the light very much."

"And it's not just the Zubat that the lights cause trouble for." Seimour said, "Its making trouble for all the Pokémon. Paras are planting their mushrooms everywhere and are drying up the Sandshrew."

"That explains why the Zubat attacked you when the sun was still out." Brock said.

"And look over there," Seimour pointed. "The Paras are planting their mushroom everywhere, while the lights are causing the Sandshrew to become weak and exhausted."

ashlooked at Sandshrew and it doesn't look good at all, one Sandshrew was so thirsty it was panting like crazy.

"Ohh..." ash walked over, followed by pikachu, she went through her bag and took out a bowl and a bottle of water, she place the bowl in front of the exhausted Pokémon and filled it up with water. "Here you go little guy, drink up."

Sandshrew didn't need to be told twice and began drinking like it hadn't had water in days.

"My goodness! I've never seen a trainer like her before!" Seymour observed, "Such kindness, it's hardly to see from trainers these days."

ash had a small blush on his cheeks, "Thank you."

ash again walked up from behind and handed him a blue berry, "Here." She gave it to Sandshrew.

Sandshrew took it from the trainer's hand and ate it, "Sandshrew!" It said with glee.

"An Oran berry." Brock said.

ash smiled, "Still, I wonder who put up all these light?" Out of the corner of her eyes, she saw two small pink Pokémon, both walking with something in their hands. "It's a Cleffa and Clefairy!"

Everyone turned around seeing to two Fairy Pokémon.

"Hey, check it out a real Cleffa and Clefairy." Brock said.

"They're are so cutee!~" Mairin squealed.

ash took out her Pokédex.

[Cleffa, the Star Shape Pokémon. Their star shape has led to believe that they reached the Earth by riding on shooting star. Strangely, many Cleffa are often found on nights of meteor showers.]

[Clefairy, the Fairy Pokémon. The evolved form of Cleffa. This impish Pokémon is friendly and peaceful. It is believed to live inside Mt. Moon, although very few have ever been seen by humans.]

"Cleffa~ Cleffa~ Cleffa~"

"Clefairy~~ Clefairy~~~"

Both Fairy-type Pokémon jumped up and down, without noticing the humans.

Alain saw something in Clefairy hand, his eyes narrowed, "Look, that Clefairy is carrying a Moonstone." He said.

"Seriously?" mairin said.

"Your right." Seymour said, "I know if we follow that Cleffa and Clefairy they might lead us to the Meteorite."

"CLEFFA!" "CLEFAIRY!" Both Fairy-type Pokémon screamed of fright was heard.

"What was that?" Mairin asked. "That was Cleffa and Clefairy." mairin replied.

"Let's go."ash said.

They ran to the source of the scream and saw both Cleffa and Clefairy, well mostly Clefairy, Cleffa wasn't backing down easily by a Meowth and it wasn't any normal Meowth, this one was none other than...

"Meowth!" Mairin shouted.

The scratch Pokémon looked up and saw that it was ash and her friends.

"It's the twerps!" Meowth exclaimed.

Cleffa took this chance to punch Meowth in the stomach, making some distance between them.

"Woah." Brock and Seymour said.

Mairin gaped.

"Sugoi~!" ash grinned.

"Nice." Alain said.

Both Fairy-type quickly ran towards the violet-black haired girl and hid behind her leg.

Mairin patted her Clefairy head, who was still shivering, "Its alright," She said soothingly, "We'll keep you two safe."

Clefairy looked at the little girl, it calm down.

"So its you guys causing trouble!" ash yelled.

"Did somebody say trouble?" A woman voice spoke out, asked.

"And make it double?" A male voice spoke out, next.

"..." No comment from the group.

"To protect the world from devastation!" Jessie appeared, starting their motto.

"The unite all people within our nation!" James continued their motto.

"To denounce the evils of truth and love!"

"To extend our reach to the stars above!"

"Jessie!" The woman introduced herself.

"James!" The man introduced himself.

"Team Rocket blasting off at the speed of light!"

"Surrender now or prepare to fight!"

"Meowth, that's right!" The scratch cat Pokémon announced.

Brock stared at the three of them, wondering if they were a bunch of idiots... maybe.

"It's you guys again." ash groaned. "Haven't you three learnt your lessons."

Brock raised a brow, "You've dealt with them, before?"

"Unfortunately." ash, Mairin and Alain said.

"That's just plain rude!" James yelled.

"Your just jealous because we won't let you join us." Jessie taunted.

"Like I would!" ash yelled.

"So you three are the ones who put up all these lights?" Brock demanded, "Your hurting the Pokémon that lives here!"

"Oh, who cares about them." Jessie waved uncaring, "We're only after the Moonstone."

"That's right, we need lights to find the Moonstone." James said.

"You won't get away with this!" Brock shouted, "If it's a rock you want, just take these, " He pointed to the ground rocks, "and get lost!"

"Get lost? How rude!" Jessie shouted, "You twerps need to be taught some manners."

Jessie and James both release Ekans and Koffing from their Pokéballs.

"If it's a battle you want, we'll give you one." ash said as she got a Pokéball ready, "Butterfree, blow them away!" She released her butterfly Pokémon.

"I'll help! Go, Zubat!" Brock called out the bat Pokémon.
