He kicked the car into a higher gear, knowing the motorcycle wasn't far behind him. He had to see his daughter one more timeâone last time or she would never know how much he loved her. He knew he was never the best Father to her. Guilt began to eat away at him as his final few seconds approached. He should have tried harder, He should haveâ
Perhaps his only hope was now miles behind him, locked up tightly in a safety deposit box. Perhaps this would be the moment he'd finally get to see his beloved wife once again; he missed her so much it hurt. Maybe the reason he didn't see his daughter as often as he should is because she reminded him too much of the woman he spent every breath wishing back to this earth.
His silver Maserati flew relentlessly down the next rocky slope. It was now too dark to see the road ahead or his surroundings, but he was determined that no matter what, that bastard would never catch him alive. An engine with one bright eye roared behind him. He glanced briefly down at the red numbers that were counting in single digits and he knew his time was near. Their last hope now depended on his daughter, Eva. He'd never cried out to God before in his life but he had to now- it was his last plea for help: Please, keep my baby girl safe. Help her find her way to Kareen before it's too late.
Author's Note
It's a pleasure getting to meet and work with all of you amazing writers and readers here on Wattpad! I hope that the description and prologue have managed to draw you in and that you enjoy reading the rest of this story!
I wrote the entire book "Sunsets in Santorini" when I was 18 years old, but never went through and edited it until now! Bear with me if you find any mistakes (and definitely let me know so I can fix them!) To all of you who are new to my work: Please send me a message or comment so that I can learn more about you personally. :) Great writing would never be possible without great readers such as yourself!
Santorini, Greece definitely holds a special place in my own heart and I definitely hope that comes through as you embark on this adventure with Eva and discover her own past in Greece!
Disclaimer on Plagiarism
I wrote the entire story myself thus it belongs to me (including characters and the plot) so please respect that. Every artistic creator has a right to their own work and plagiarism should not and will not be tolerated! I won't hesitate to report it and I hope that if any of you find someone who has copied my work to inform me too!
Update Schedule
The entire book is finished but as it is a first draft I'm sure there are a lot of fixes that need to be made. I am posting each chapter as I edit and plan on finishing a chapter a week! I do have a busy schedule where I am working also so if there are any delays I sincerely apologize, but I am very very excited to receive feedback as well as re-live Eva's exciting journey myself so I will do my best to ensure that you all are receiving the new chapters regularly! :)
Thank you all again and I hope you enjoy!
