Chapter US
Afterward, the school became much quieter. Heather moved to a different class, and Alexis left for another school The students who were bullied by them felt relieved and thanked Lily for dealing with Heather.
After the chaos ended, they returned to a stressful studying environment.
On this day, Lily joined Anya and others in the cafeteria for lunch.
âLily, thereâs an upcoming art festival at school. Some classmates are planning to put on a street dance performance. Want to join? Anya asked as she chewed.
Every year, the 12th grade organized an art festival, and each class had to prepare a performance.
Class 18âs students werenât really keen on doing a street dance since Class 1 was already doing it. They were being led by Shannon.
Shannon was pretty and very popular at school. Comparing themselves to her in street dance would be embarrassing
Class 18âs students were more into goofing off. Most of them lacked musicality and couldnât sing or perform well in other ways. Street dance seemed like the only option could handle
Many people liked Lucas, so they often watched his dance videos and learned from him.
Anya was a big fan of Lucas and had taught herself many of his dances. This time, when planning the performance, lan and a few others chose to do street dance However, the art festival involved public voting. They didnât have Shannonâs good looks, so they decided to involve Lily
Lily had long been a popular figure at Ember Creek High School and was also the schoolâs beauty queen.
they
With Lilyâs involvement, they wouldnât lick vores. Plus, even if Lily couldnât dance well, it wouldnât matter much since they were performing as a group. As long as they all did decently and followed along, there wouldnât be any major issues
âIâm not interested,â Lily lazily declined. She preferred being alone and disliked participating in group activities like this.
Anya felt a bit disappointed. âOh. Okay.â
Ian and the others were also disappointed, but they didnât say much.
After they inished eating, Anya told Lily, âYou should go back to the classroom first. Weâre heading to the dance studio to practiceâ
Lily thought she had nothing else to do, so she decided, âIâll come with you guys and watch.â
She wasnât participating, but watching others dance was still fine.
Ten people were participating in the art festival, all with some basic dance skills. Usually, they only practiced during lunch breaks due to their class schedule.
Lily followed them to the dance studio. As Anya turned on the music, the door to the dance studio swing open.
The students from Class 1, led by Shannon, walked in.
Shelby stepped forward and glanced at the students from Class 18. âThis room belongs to us. Please leave
âThis is a public space. When did it become just for Class 1?â Tan replied coldly
âWeâve always used this room, and the teacher has allowed it,â Shelby said, crossing her arms and giving them a cold look. âOtherwise, do you want to go find the teacher?â Ian sneered, âEven if your teacher allowed it, did the principal? I suggest going directly to the principalâ
Class 18âs students added, âExactly! Youâve been taking over this room since the start of the year. We rarely get a chance to use it. Today, we finallycame to practice, and youâre causing trouble
âJust because youâre in the honors class doesnât mean you can do whatever you want. Teachers canât show favoritism just because youâre in the honors class!â
Shelby smirked, âThatâs right, weâre in the honors class, so the teachers favor us. If youâre not happy, why donât you try getting into the honors class too?â
The students from Class 18 were angry but helpless. After all, they couldnât compete with them academically.
