“Is he really alright?” Melanie’s eyes were filled with worry as she glanced over at the surgery room. “I heard Shaun say that his poison has recurred, and he’s been shot..”

Lily glared at Shaun. She turned toward Melanie and said warmly, “He’ll be fine with me bece.”

Shaun shuddered, unable to find his voice. He hadn’t intended to reveal Lold’s condition–Stefan and Melanie had forced him to.

Stefan heaved a sigh of relief. He met Lily’s eyes and said, “Thank you so much.”

“Don’t mention it ”

Lily turned toward Daniel swiftly and ordered, “Bring me 500 acupuncture needles within ten minutes. Hurry up.”

Daniel immediately got to work. Lily didn’t linger around for long either as she went back into the surgery room shortly after.
