Chapter 151
Seeing how hysterical Heather was, Lily broke into a fit of laughter. She crouched down and tilted Heatherâs chin sp
âIâm afraid that youâll be disappointed. My grandma didnât die.â
âThatâs impossible!â Heather screamed. âI told them to head to the hospital when you were occupied. She couldnât have survived!â
Lily grinned. âWell, she was on the brink of death. But it seems like Iâve forgotten to tell youâIâm actually a doctor too. I saved her life.â
âYou-âHeather spet a mouthful of blood. Staring at Lily, she was rendered speechless.
What kind of a monster was she? Not only was she Reese but she was also equipped with superb medical skills. Given her capability, why did she turn up at Ember Creek High School at all? Why did she take the spotlight away from her?
Inserting the needles into Heatherâs body, Lily said coldly, âYou canât die if I donât plan to take your life. Iâll even bring you back to life if you try to commit suicideâ
Heather suddenly shoved her aside. Awash in terror, she scrambled backward.
Lily rose and dusted her hands. Turning toward Clinton, she ordered, âThrow them to the dogfighting plt. Make sure not to let them die.â
She spun around, staring at Anthony and Heather. âIâm not going to kill you. Being alive is worse torture compared to being killed. 1 want both of you to live in distress for the rest of your lives.â!
Shuddering behind her, Shaun and Daniel exchanged glances. They were determined to remain silent. Even Loid had never implemented such ruthless methods.
Lily was truly vicious. As a result, Shaun didnât dare to compare her past self with her current sell. The difference between her public and private personas was jarring. But still, she was Reese. It was undeniable that her brutality led her to conquer the underground forces of Arsion and Lagersfield City.
âNâNo!â Recalling what would occur at the pit, Heather crawled toward Lily frantically. âSorry, itâs my fault! I shouldnât have targeted your grandma. Please spare me! I wonât do it
again.â
Lily seemed indifferent as she kicked her aside. âSpare you? You donât deserve my mercy!â She left promptly with her men.
Once she took her leave with the huge crowd, the mansion suddenly seemed eerily empty..
Lily leaned against the car backseat after she exited the Maynard residence. Her expression remained shuttered.
âTake me back to Anmer Heights.â Sheâd been involved in too much kiting today, she yearned for a shower to unwind.
Daniel concurred and left for Anmer Heights. None of them spoke during the way. Although Shaun intended to speak, the tension in the car intimidated him. He couldnât muster the courage to speak
He finally couldnât hold it in any longer when they almost reached Anmer Heights. Turning toward Lily, he pressed his lips together and asked. âThe Maynards are a bunch of fuckers, but you couldâve just killed them if you wanted to avenge your grandma. Why did you have to torture them? Isnât it too much?â
Shaun often participated in perilous missions with Loid and was no stranger to ruthless approaches. Frankly, he didnât think Lilyâs decision was a mistake. He was merely worried about her wellâbeing since she bad already adopted such cruel practices at a young age.
Lily glanced at him and replied nonchalantly, âYeah.â She didnât object to his assumptions because she simply couldnât be bothered.
Sensing that she was in no mood to entertain his questions, Shaun refrained from asking further questions.
Lily turned her head to the side. As she watched the scenery outside the window, her expression hardened.
