Before she turned around to leave, Lily looked at Arther and said, âGrandpa, if you want peace and quiet, you shouldnât meet with weirdos like these. They are really noisy.â
Arthur burst into laughter. âSure. Iâll take your advice and not meet with weirdos. You just got here. Have Loid show you around. Come back when itâs time to eat.â
Lilyâs words also caused Loid to laugh out loud. As expected, Lilyâs sharp tongue was enough to anger her enemies to death.
Loidâs unclesâ and auntsâ expressions turned sour when they heard what she said.
Nora couldnât hold herself back anymore. She slammed the table and stood up. âYou bitch! Who are you calling weirdos? This is the Laurier Residence. Who do you think you are? How dare you talk to us like that?â
Lily turned around and stuffed her hands into her pockets. She tilted her chin slightly and said impishly, âI broke the limbs of the last person who asked me those questions. Do you want to give that a try?â
âHow dare you?â Nora yelled angrily.
Lily narrowed her eyes and was about to make a move when Loid suddenly squeezed her arm. She looked at him and saw that he was signaling her to calm down with his eyes.
Lily growled, âDamn it!â
She lowered her head for a moment before looking up again. She looked at Nora coldly. Then she glanced at the rest of the Lauriers.
She said angrily, âSomeone from the countryside isnât good enough for the Laurier family? A person who starts fights and has bad grades isnât good enough for the Laurier family? So, is only someone from the Albott family good enough for you?â
She walked over to Yolanda and scrutinized her coldly. âHas your pubic hair even started growing yet?â
âYou! Youâre shameless! How could you say something so lecherous?â Yolanda said angrily.
âIâm shameless? You abandoned Loid when he was sick. Arenât you more shameless than me?â Lily asked expressionlessly.
Yolanda was at a loss for words. She lowered her head and bit her lips. âI didnât abandon Loid. I⦠I justâ¦â
âYou just didnât want to become a widow because he was about to die?â Lilyâs expression darkened. âYou shameless bitch. How dare you try to take my man from me?â
Lily seldom cursed at people, but she was very angry this time.
She scanned the Lauriers and said, âYou guys are acting like youâre better than everyone else just because you can play the piano a little, speak some foreign languages, and recite some poems?
âDo you think youâre good enough to judge me? I should be the one judging you losers!â
Loidâs lips twitched when he heard Lily cuss. That wasnât a good sign.
If she was cussing, it meant that she was furious. It would be hard to appease her.
He even felt like she wouldâve broken Noraâs and Yolandaâs limbs if he didnât hold her back a moment ago.
He had no idea where she learned that particular skill. She would break peopleâs limbs if they annoyed her.
The Laurier looked at her angrily. None of them wanted to cuss because of their manners. So, they could only fume silently.
Lily grabbed Loidâs tie and pulled him toward her. âThis man is mine. If anyone dares to whine about it again, Iâll ensure they are bedridden for a few weeks.â
