Chapter 75
Right before class started, a girl with short hair approached Lily and said softly, âCan I collect your physics homework, Lily?â
She was the class representative for physics, Emma Green.
She was supposed to collect everyoneâs homework first thing in the morning, but she was scared of Lily, so she only approached her now.
âHere.â Lily took out a stack of papers from her bag and rifled through them for her physics homework. She then handed the correct one to Emma.
Emma stared at the paper and then back at Lily in surprise. âYou didnât do it at all?â
Lily leaned back in her chair. âI donât know any of it.â
Emma grimaced. Even if she was unfamiliar with the topic, she would still know something. If Lily knew nothing, thenâ¦
Emma sighed.
It looked like Class 18 was about to be the subject of ridicule for the other classes once again.
After some hesitation, Emma said, âYou know, if youâre struggling with your homework, you could always ask me. Iâll tutor you to the best of my abilities. You can also ask Anya.â
Emma didnât want her classmates to be ridiculed by the other students, so she gathered her courage and tried to talk sense into Lily.
Lily smiled. âThanks, but no thanks.â
Emma sighed again and left.
Anya leaned over and looked through the stack of papers. âYou didnât do any homework?â she exclaimed.
She spoke rather loudly. Ian came over as well to see Lilyâs papers and laughed. âYouâre really something else, Lily. These are quite easy. How can you not know it? Youâre really gonna be famous in school!â
Lily gave him a sideways glance. âAnd youâre not?â
How could he laugh at her when he was constantly at the bottom of the class?
lan stiffened and laughed awkwardly. âHey, now that youâre here, I could probably enjoy some anonymity
now.â
Finally, there was someone worse than him when it came to studying.
Lily ignored him and continued reading her book.
The morning classes were mostly explaining yesterdayâs homework. The students of Class 18 were bad at studying in the first place, so they werenât interested in the classes at all.
After a grueling morning, it was finally time for lunch.
Just as Lily was above to go to the cafeteria with Anya, a shriek sounded. One of their classmates said unhappily, âWhat the hell, Edwin? You almost ruptured my eardrums.â
Edwin Prince was clutching his phone, trembling in excitement. âLucas Garcia is holding a concert here at Lagersfield!â
âOh, stop pulling my leg. I know Lucasâ entire schedule for the year.â Another student scoffed. âHeâs not
coming to Lagersfield.â
âItâs true!â Edwin showed his phone to the rest of the class. âHis agency just put out a post saying that heâs going to hold a concert here next Saturday!â
Hearing this, the other students took out their own phones to check the news.
Chaos broke out promptly.
âItâs true! Lucas is coming to Lagersfield! Iâm so excited!â one of the students screamed.
âOh my god, I need to ask my mom to send me more money. I need to get a ticket to the concert!â
âLucasâ concert tickets are notoriously hard to get. Do you think weâll be able to get them? And also, weâre in grade 12 now. What if the teachers want us to stay for extra classes on Saturday?â
âOh, screw them! Itâs not like Iâll be able to get into college with my results anyway. Lucasâ concert is a onceâinâaâlifetime experience. I would do anything to attend!â
lan and Anya also saw the post by Lucasâ agency. They couldnât help but stare at Lily.
What a coincidence.
Just a few days ago, Lily had said that Lucas would hold a concert in Lagersfield. It didnât take long for her claims to come true.
lan leaned over to Lily. âLily, are you a soothsayer?â he asked slyly.
Lily slapped him away.
