Chapter 86
Ian opened the door to Class 1. He announced, âShelby Martinez, get out here now.â
Shelby slammed her tist on the table and shot up. âWhatâs wrong with you, lan Fletcher? Why would you barge into our class with the Class 18 rascals?
He smirked. âAre you that forgetful? Did you forget about the bet with Lily?â He brandished the tickets and revealed, âLily has gotten us the tickets, which means youâve lost. Time to run the hundred laps you agreed to.â
Shelby was incensed upon hearing that. She went over to Tan and stood in front of him with a taunting look on her face. She placed her hands on her hips.
âLily Brooks, I thought of you as a mannerless country bumpkin. I didnât expect you to be a liar too. Tell me, did you buy these tickets with your own money?
âShelby Martinez, are you trying to walk back on your word?â Ianâs expression tell as he glared at Shelby.
âWalking back on my word? I donât have to do that.â She took the ticket from his grasp.
âYour classmates chipped in to buy the concert tickets so that she could win the bet. You guys are really something. One of you started the lie, and everyone helped her out. How dare you demand that I fulfill the bet? Youâre delusionallâ
Lilyâs classmates grew angry. Someone retorted, âWhat nonsense is that? Lily bought these tickets out of her pocket.â
Another snickered. âJust admit that youâre chickening out of the bet. Why the fuck would you make up such a stupid excuse? Youâre disgusting!â
âYou always boast that Class I students are vituous when, in fact, youâre just a coward!â
Shelby stared at them coldly âHow could you be to me, saying that you didnât chip in for the concert tickets?â
âWe did, and we banded the money to her this morning, but she refused to take it. She had already bought the tickets by then.â
âAm I supposed to take your word for it? She glared at the Class 18 students. âDo you think Iâd believe in this style?â
lanâs cheeks were flushed from the anger. He thought they could finally take revenge for Lily, only for Lily to be misunderstood and slandered.
Damn it!
The Class 18 students helplessly glared at Shelby. Only Lily folded her armis on her chest and shot Shelbyasmirk. âItâs fine Iâll make you payâ
With that, Lily made a call. âGet another 50 tickets to Ember Creek High Schoolâ
Shelby stared at Lily in disbelief. âWow, Iâve never seen a bragger like you. Lily Brooks, just admit that you lost Why do you have to bite off more than you can chew? Youâre only going to bumiliate yourself when you fail to get the tickets delivered.â
Lily shot her a look before tuming to lan, âWhatâs the next lesson?â!
Ian replied, âA selfâstudy session!â He anticipated her next question and answered, âSame goes for classi
Lily nodded. âLetâs wait another 15 minutes, then.â
Under her orders, Class 15 quietly waited at the entrance to Class 1.
Soon, the 15 minutes were up. Lily received an incoming call. She answered, âHave the guard deliver the tickets to me.â
After hanging up, she asked lan, âDo you have the money ready?â
He nodded. âYesâ
Soon, the campus guard showed up with a shopping bag, unlike the box Lily had received earlier that day. He handed the bag to Lily, and lan paid him.
The guard thanked them and immediately escaped from the scene. From his years of experience, se sensed trouble brewing among the students.
Lily grabbed a ticket from the bag and handed the rest to tan. She requested that he distribute the extra tickets to their classmates. Then, she turned to Shelby, âDo you want to check the authenticity of the ticket?
Shelby was dumbfounded the moment Lily received the tickets. She gasped, âHow did you do that? Itâs impossible! impossible!â
Lily chuckled. âSo, will you fulfill the bet? The look in her eyes hardened. She added, âIf you refuse, weâll change the bet to something else. Think it through.â
