Ch - 11

After eating , Xumin helped Xuran put away the plates and washing the dishes .

While the others sat in the living room.

Even the kids came and sat in the living rooms .

They introduced themselves one by one .

Soldiers also introduced themselves , seeing the curosity of the kids soldiers told them a bit about their jobs and some simple things .

But kids became more and more intrested in them .

After a while Xumin and Xuran came back from kitchen and sat down.

Xumin asked " are you going to the hospital for check up later ? "

And then added " There is no hospital nearby and the road is bumpy , it will be difficult to travel , espically when you are injured ."

This time Zhang Yichen replied ," that is why we were looking for a place to rest for the time being , but did not find even a single house other than yours. "

Xuran nooded in understanding .

Then Zhang Yichen asked " why is this house made at such a remote location , and why do you live alone with the kids , after all its not very safe like this , if someone with bad intension entered today , instead of us , don't you think it would have been dangerous for you all."

Xuran " this is a family farmhouse, it was bought with the idea of developing this area , but later it was delayed because of some reason ( Xuran's parent's death ) , there are proper monitering system so no need to worry too much ."

"moreover , I was here on a vaccation with kids and also gave housekeepers and workers holiday for a few days."

Zhang Yichen nodded in understanding .

But he always felt that this house was not like other houses weather it is location or the house itself .

Zhang Yichen usually does not talk much but soldiers seeing their caption taking the initiative to talk , they all shut their mouths .

Wondering what was so intresting about this house to make their captain talk.

After a while Xuran and the kids walked upstairs , giving them space alone .

Zhang Yichen first decided to tell about this matter to his superior , commander Xia , but he could not get in contact with him .

So he contacted commander Gu .

He told everything about what happened , and that they were currently staying in an isolated place on the outskirts of City A .

After thinking something ,

Commander Gu asked " is the place where you are staying a farmhouse with big boundary and strict monitering . "

Zhang Yichen was a little surprised to hear this , but replied " yes "

Commander Gu " and is the person currently staying there called Xuran ? "

Zhang Yicheng " yes "

Zhang Yichen vaguely felt thses two were familiar with each other.

Grandpa Gu laughed and said " you don't have to worry about returning ,  just stay there untill your injuries are healed , I will talk to Xiaoran ."

Zhang Yichen was surprised to see commander Gu address Xuran in such an intimate tone .

Xuran was in his room when he recieved  a call from Grandpa Gu.

He quickly picked up and said " grandpa Gu "

Grandpa Gu " how are you Xiaoran "

Xuran " I am good grandpa Gu , how about you "

Grandpa Gu " xiaoran grandpa has a favour to ask of you "

" grandpa knows there are some soldiers staying with you on the outskirts of city A "

" can you let them stay with you untill their injuries heal ?"

Xuran " since grandpa said it so i would naturally agree ,  you don't hve to worry , they can stay here as long as they want ."

He hung up the phone .

At first Xuran didn't wanted to let these people stay because of apoclypse , but since grandpa Gu asked he agreed .

He had been in contact with grandpa Gu since he bought last millitory vehicle .

At first it was because of the protagonist , but later he felt close to him , maybe because no has treated him so loveingly in his previous world , so he got close to the old man which can be considered a family .

Grandpa  Gu called Zhang Yichen .

Grandpa Gu " Xuran said you guys can stay there as long as you want ."

Zhang Yichen was curious about their relationship , so he asked .

Grandpa Gu " xuran's grandfather and I were childhood brothers , I did not  choose to marry and neither did I had any kids so I treated xuran's father like my own son and xuran is like my own grandson "

" don't look at his cold face , infact that kid is very kind hearted , after his parents death , he once went to the orphanage that his father use to sponser , when he saw a kid being bullied , he went out of his way and directly adopted the kid and his siblings. "

Zhang Yichen did not expect such an answer .

Grandpa Gu " he would often tell about how inteligent and cute my great grand kids are ."

Grandpa Gu laughed recalling those things.
