Everett spotted Dorothy just as she was about to duck out of sight.

“Dorothy”

His voice was deep and magnetic, and his lone was steady.

Since she had failed her attempt at hide and seek, Dorothy had to brace herself and march over. “Mr.

Lopez, Ms. Heather”

“We’ll head out now” The moment she came over Everett slid into the cat

Heather waved and gave Dorothy a friendly smile. “Take care on the road. We’ll discuss our thing when

you’re back from your trip.

“Uh–huh.”

Only after Heather turned to leave did Dorothy get into the car,

She sneakily eyed Everett, wondering what Heather meant by “our thing.”

“Tired?” Everett loosened his tie and unbuttoned the top of his shirt.

From Dorothy’s angle, she could catch a glimpse of the tattoo on his collarbone.

“It was okay. Kevin didn’t dump too much work on me.”

“If the workload gets too much, tell him.” Everett had brought her to the head office to thrive, not to

work herself to death

Dorothy nodded, only to be interrupted by her phone’s ring.

Hesitant, Dorothy accepted the request.

Before she could wonder too long, her phone rang, It was Karen.

“My cousin added you on Facebook. He said he had a research project he wanted to discuss with you

when you’re free.”

This girl was relentless in her matchmaking efforts

“Im not pulling your leg. Mr. Percy would definitely be interested. If you introduce this to the seam 3.

your status will skyrocket”

“Alright, I accepted the request. Thanks for leaving this opportunity to me” She hung up after a quick

conversation.

Everett didn’t react this time

Phew, so his earlier displeasure wasn’t due to jealousy

Back at Bay Residence, Dorothy started packing. In the spirit of being thorough, she knocked on the

study door.

“Everett, do you need help packing for your trip?”

He was leaning against his desk, reading some company reports. His robe was loosely hanging off

him, revealing a large expanse of pale skin.

After hearing her voice, he straightened up. “Yes. Bring a couple of white shirts and two suits.”

“Alright”

“And pajamas, underwear, and condoms”

She looked at him instinctively, but Everett seemed completely calm.

How could he say that so casually and naturally? Didn’t he feel awkward at all?

Moreover with the trip approaching so fast, he still had time to think about such matters?

Quietly leaving his study, Dorothy obediently inned his clothes, folded them neatly, and placed them in

the suitcase along with lies, socks, underwear, and a box of contraceptives

Before putting them in, she glanced at the box.

Five pieces should be enough

Once everything was set, Dorothy was going to take a shower when she checked her phone, Kenneth

had sent several maastogos.

It was a greeting followed by a brief introduction of his colleagues‘ joint research on an intelligent

vehicle.

She watched the conceptual video Kenneth had made. Not only could it achieve driverless operation

and automatic parking but it also added four-wheel 360–degree rotation and an initial low–altitude fight.

This surprised Dorothy

A car that could operate on land and in the air was indeed a gap in the market. Domestic technology

was not quite there yet.
