CHAPTER 182: A TIME ALONE WITH MY BELOVED

Although Abril insisted that she was fine, Alessandro did not allow her to eat heavy foods, only soups and some fruits.

He continued to be worried about her health and didn’t calm down until after the doctor checked April and confirmed that she was okay.

When the doctor left, April got out of bed. She was tired of being in bed, she wanted to stretch a little, go out to the balcony and see the winter landscape that was there at that moment.

- I want to stretch my legs a little.

Alessandro held her by the waist in case her legs failed her, but that didn’t happen. She put her arms around his neck and said, "You look weird."

April separated herself a little, she wanted to see Alessandro’s face. Seeing his green eyes glassy with tears that threatened to come out, seeing that face that had always seemed attractive to her and that expression of anxiety reflected on his face she wished she could erase all those days in which he had suffered believing that he was losing her, she had lost many more things than she thought when she won the war, it was not until that precise moment that she realized that.

She kissed his eyes, erasing with her kisses those desires dark shadows that reflected the sleepless nights that Alessandro must have spent, she kissed his pale and emaciated face that reflected how bad he had been through and finally she kissed his lips wishing she could warm his heart which had cooled to almost death from the fear of losing her and she whispered against his lips.

_ I love you Lessan, I love you the same way you do and that’s why I understand how you feel since for me it’s the same, I don’t want a life without you.

April intertwined her left hand where the marriage mark appeared with Alessandro’s and said to him.

- On our wedding day we swore to be together until death do us part, but even death cannot separate us, if after death I will have a second life, even in that life I will look for you and love you again.

Alessandro kissed her, his fingers sank into her long reddish hair and he told her over and over again while their mouths collided.

_ I love you Aby, I love you.

He did not stop repeating those words while he kissed every part of her face, while he lost himself in her mouth, in each kiss he gave her.

The door opened, it was Cassian who had entered without knocking on the door, but Alessandro did not care, he ignored his brother and continued kissing his wife, April tried to separate from him, but it was impossible, she was enchanted with Alessandro’s kisses.

Cassian, realizing that he was being ignored, silently left the room. As he walked back down the hall he found Maya. After winning the war he had been very busy since he had to take care of Alessandro’s obligations since he had been out of his mind, he had stayed by Abril’s side leaving everything aside. And he had barely had time to be with Maya since Fay kept coming between them.

- Are you here to see Abril?

- Yes.

- Is she okay?

- I guess so since she was having a very passionate moment with my brother.

- I’m glad she’s okay, I thought she would never wake up again.

- Yes, that’s something we all thought at some point, but I’m glad to see that we were wrong.

Cassian moved a little closer to Maya, put his arm around her waist and said while looking around checking that Fay was not nearby.

Maya laughed at Cassian’s attitude and asked.

– What do you think you’re doing?

_Nothing, I was just checking that there are no flies around here.

_Fay is having an audience with the elves.

_Is he still insisting on forming an alliance with the elves?

Yes and I’m sure he will achieve it, he can be very annoying when he wants something.

Cassian kissed Maya without warning, she actively returned the kiss and when they separated their panting mouths; Cassian dragged Maya to the first empty room he found and took off his jacket. Maya asked.

– What do you think you’re doing?

Cassian again rebutted her lips and answered.

– I just want to be alone for a while with the woman I love, don’t you want to be with me?

Maya began to remove the thick layers of clothing she was wearing, she kissed him actively and said.

Cassian pressed his body against Maya’s tightly and answered.
