CHAPTER 201: THE HAPPIEST IN THE WORLD

Alessandro left his office and headed to the garden where the tree was in which the portal to the land of fairies had opened. He did this action every day since April had left, he touched the trunk of the tree and wondered when she would return.

A week and a half had passed since April had left, but for Alessandro, every day and every minute he spent away from his beloved, was like an eternity.

He rested his forehead against the trunk of the tree and between sighs of sadness he asked again.

- Aby, when will you come back?

After saying that, the trunk of the tree began to glow, Alessandro took a few steps back to get a better look at what was happening. Suddenly he saw the silhouette of a person coming out of the tree, he blinked several times until his eyes got used to the light.

When his eyes adjusted to the light, he saw April, she ran towards him, hugged him and with a big smile said.

- I’m back.

Surprise and happiness flooded Alessandro, he lifted her in the air, spun her around a few times and then kissed her.

Alessandro caressed her face as if he couldn’t believe she was there.

- Is it really you? Tell me I’m not dreaming? That it’s real.

April stood on her tiptoes, pressed her lips against theirs and said.

- It’s real, I’m back.

- Even though you’ve been gone for a short time, it feels like it’s been an eternity.

- For me it’s been the same, I missed you a lot.

Maya and Cassian crossed the portal, Alessandro seeing them together was happy for his brother. He had managed to return to the woman he loved.

Ethan and Dantriel crossed a little later.

Dantriel greeted him, but Ethan didn’t, every time he saw April in Alessandro’s arms, he couldn’t help but get jealous, even though he knew she wasn’t the woman he loved.

They all went to the imperial palace to the king’s private room. They all gave a report of what had happened in the land of the fairies; Alessandro remained silent listening attentively to what they said, even though sometimes what they told him filled him with anxiety and fear of what was to come, when everyone finished talking, he said with a frown and his face marked by worry.

For now yes, everything is over, Enzo my brother told me that Cira is weak and it would take a while to recover.

Alessandro did not trust Enzo and partly hated him since for a long time, he had tortured the woman he loved, he had caused her injuries that were not visible, but had achieved great emotional damage; from time to time she still had terrible nightmares at night with those bad memories.

Alessandro lightly squeezed Abril’s hand.

- What your brother said, is it true? He is not trying to help his sister while she recovers, to then betray us.

Abril shook her head, showed him the rock mark she had on her right hand and answered.

Alessandro took Abril in his arms, both went out through another door and headed to his chambers, when he arrived he began to kiss her passionately, he did not want to keep waiting he wanted to show his love not only with words, but also with his kisses, with his caresses, with his body and with his whole being. He gently placed her on the bed and said between kisses.

- I love you aby, I love you my wife, I love you my queen, my everything.

- Abril responded to his kisses, during the time they had been apart, she had not stopped missing him, she got drunk with his kisses and his caresses, she surrendered to the sweetness of his whispering voice and his warmth.

Both made love, a few times until exhausted.

Alessandro caressed Abril’s curls while she rested on his chest.

- April sat up, her reddish curls falling like a cascade over her shoulders and breasts covering her.

April caressed her belly and continued saying.

Alessandro thought he had heard wrong so he asked.

- Baby? I think I heard wrong, for a moment I thought you were telling me that you were pregnant.

April continued caressing her still flat belly.

- You didn’t hear wrong, I’m pregnant, we’re going to be parents, our baby is growing inside me.

Alessandro placed his trembling hand on his wife’s belly and asked again

- Are we really going to be parents? Are we going to have a child? Abril put her hand on Alessandro’s and answered.

- That’s right, we’re going to be parents.

Alessandro couldn’t feel happier, not only was he with the woman he loved, but if not, they would soon have a child. He hugged her gently and said.
