Chapter 12
âWhatever it is, Iâve had enough of you, you ba st ard!â Yasmin hung up.
Blake was positively furious as he looked at the dark screen of his phone. After a moment, he
received several messages in succession. They were all records of purchases-Yasmin had bought
all sorts of furniture, and more messages were coming in.
Blake thought about the contents of the divorce agreement, and his expression turned steely. He
said to Malcolm, âFind out whether she went to Newphoria Bay today.â
âYes, sir.â Malcolm got right on it. A moment later, he returned. âMrs. Ford did indeed drop by the
villa at Newphoria Bay, sir. She also hired a few cleaners to clean the place up.â
It looked like she was really intending to move in there.
Blakeâs fingers tightened around the divorce agreement, crumpling it. Two years ago, Stuartâs
company had gotten into a tight spot. Heâd had to sell everything he owned, including the villa at
Newphoria Bay.
Yasmin had begged Blake to buy the villa. He never expected it to turn into the refuge sheâd escape
to after demanding a divorce.
Blake snorted. âCall the bank. Freeze her card.â
Meanwhile, Yasmin and Eunice had picked out all the furniture Yasmin needed at the mall.
Eunice said, âYaz, we should get some extra. Buy anything that catches your eye! I heard that Blake
spent more than 100 million dollars on a villa for that sl utty mistress of his. If sheâs worth spending
that much on, why arenât you? Youâre his wife, after all. Spend as much of his money as possible
before the divorce!â
Yasmin felt that this made sense. She decided not to collect her clothes, which were still at the villa.
She could just buy brand-new ones. The rest of her afternoon was spent picking out various outfits,
bags, and shoes.
âGood afternoon, Mrs. Ford. Thatâll be 3 million dollars.â The sales clerk smiled at her.
Yasmin handed her her black card. To her surprise, the transaction didnât go through. The cashier
said, âMrs. Ford, there seems to have been a restriction placed on this card. We canât swipe it.â

âThat canât be.â Yasmin found this odd. The black card was Blakeâs supplementary card. Nothing
had ever gone wrong with it.
Eunice asked, âCould Blake be behind this, Yaz?â
It was possible. Sheâd already spent more than ten million dollars on furniture. Blake was probably
aware of her shopping spree. Yasmin called the bank to ask about this.
On the other end of the line, the bank teller said, âMr. Ford is the one who ordered us to freeze the
card, Mrs. Ford. It can only be unfrozen if he calls us in person.â
Yasminâs heart sank. That jerk really was behind this!
Eunice said angrily, âThe ba sta rdâs crossed the line! He was so generous toward his mistress, yet
he canât bear to spend a dime on you!â
Yasmin said, âHeâs never thought highly of me.â
âWhat should we do now?â
âLetâs just forget about the clothes and head back to Newphoria Bay. Iâll call Mary and have her
courier my clothes to me.â Whatever it was, there was no way she would return to the
villa.
âAlright. We have already got your new furniture, anyway. Your new life is going to start right away!â
Eunice was happy for her.
Yasmin couldnât help looking forward to being reborn after the divorce. She would live at Newphoria
Bay and enjoy life with her friends from today onward. She and Blake wouldnât need to see each
other anymore.
Eunice drove Yasmin to the villa at Newphoria Bay. When they arrived, it was already
nighttime.
Yasmin got out of the car. âThanks for accompanying me today, Eunice. You should get going.â
âOkay.â Eunice had a date with her boyfriend that night, so she left.
Yasmin turned to head to the villa. As she approached, she saw a Rolls-Royce Cullinan parked by
the entrance. Blake sat inside the car; his tall stature blended into the night. When he heard her
footsteps, he looked up. He stared at her with a domineering gaze.
