Yasmin frowned. âIâm all grown up now. I donât like pink anymore.â
âYouâre only 22. Youâre not even fully developed yet,â Blake said.
Yasmin thought he was referring to her private parts. Her face turned red.
âWhyâs your face red?â He noticed this. When he realized her mind had gone elsewhere, his gaze
darkened. âWhat are you thinking?â
Yasminâs expression turned icy. âNothing.â
âWell, I know where your mindâs gone. Look at how red your face is.â Blake laughed and looked
down at her. âAre you upset because I didnât satisfy you this morning?â
Yasmin couldnât help being reminded of what had happened that morning. If not for Giselle suddenly
showing up, she probably wouldâve fallen prey to his advances. Her face burned as she pushed him
away. âNo!â
âItâs nothing to be ashamed of. Everyone has needs. You donât need to hide anything.â Blake didnât
get mad. He handed her the pink dress. âGo try it on.â
Yasmin looked stiff, but she didnât want to argue with him. She took the dress and went to try it on. A
few minutes later, she stepped out of the filting room.
Blake sat elegantly on the couch. The first thing he saw was a pair of long, slender legs with feet
that wore diamondâencrusted heels.
As his gaze trailed upward, he saw a perfect figure encased in the pink dress. Yasminâs hair was
glossy, and her skin glowed. She looked absolutely breathtaking.
Blake watched her for a few more seconds before retracting his gaze and turning to the sales.
clerk. âWeâll take it.â
âYes, sir.â The sales clerk was stunned by Yasminâs beauty. She exclaimed, âYouâre beautiful,
madam! You look like a goddess in this dress.â
L
Yasmin thought she was exaggerating. She turned to look at the floorâlength mirror behind her. The
woman in the mirror was thin but had a great figure. She had curves in all the right places. It
wouldnât be an exaggeration to say she had a flawless figure.
Indeed, the dress looked good on her. Yasmin would always be in a good mood when she saw
pretty things. She couldnât help smiling at her reflection. Then, she met Blakeâs gaze in the
mirror. His eyes were on her empty wrist. âWhereâs the bracelet you always have on?â
It seemed to be a casual question. Yasmin answered, âI threw it away.â
He frowned. âWhy?â
âCause I didnât like it,â Yasmin retorted. In truth, sheâd kept it. The bracelet was a piece of jewelry
worth several thousand dollars. She could sell it for money!
For some reason, this upset Blake. His expression was icy as they left the shopping mall. Malcolm
was waiting for them outside. When he saw Yasmin, he complimented her, wanting to ease the
tension. âWhoa! You look gorgeous in this dress, Mrs. Ford!â
âThanks!â Yasmin smiled. On the other hand, Blake gave him a cool glance. This scared Malcolm.
He opened the door for them, not daring to make another sound.
Yasmin didnât get into the backseat, though. She opened the front passenger door and got in. âMy
stomachâs not feeling too well. Iâll ride shotgun.â
She didnât want to be in the same space as Blake. It put her on edge.
Blake faltered and asked, âIs your stomach still acting up?â
che
looked at him in surprise. He continued, âHavenât you been taking your medication lately?â
âI have.â She didnât expect him to still remember this? âIâve been taking it every day.â In truth, sheâd
already recovered. She was perfectly fine. Blake didnât say anything else. Malcolm started the car
and said, âIf youâre having stomach problems, Mrs. Ford, you can try adding spinach and cabbage
to your diet. One is good for people with stomach issues, while the otherâs high in fiber. It will help to
repair your stomach lining.â âOh, okay.â Yasmin took note of it and smiled at him. âI quite like eating
spinach.â
