âWhat a strange person. He insisted that I look for his shirt, yet he left after I found it,â she
complained inwardly.
After that, she headed to the kitchen to have breakfast.
Suddenly, Yasmin remembered the leftover cake from the day before. Hence, she thought of having
it for breakfast.
But to her disappointment, her strawberry cake was nowhere to be found in the fridge.
That was impossible. Mary would never throw away their things.
Baffled, Yasmin approached Mary, asking, âMary, whereâs the cake I kept in the fridge?â
âOh, that,â Mary responded with a cloth in her hand. âMr. Ford said you shouldnât eat it after being
left overnight, so he threw it away. I think he tossed it in the living roomâs trash bin.â
Yasmin was rendered speechless upon hearing that. Why did he throw away her cake for no
reason?
She walked to the living roomâs trash bin and found the Alchemy Couture bag in it.
âWhat on earth?â Yasmin exclaimed.
How could Blake discard a millionâdollar bag just like that?
Yasmin felt a pang of heartache as she carefully picked it up. Underneath the bag, her strawberry
cake lay crushed and utterly ruined.
âHow childish of him!â
Yasmin could not believe Blake, a 30âyearâold man, would throw away her cake. His action was
truly immature to the extreme!
Looking at the white purse, she could not bear to throw it away.
Since it was something she picked up, it belonged to her now.
With that, Yasmin took the purse, placed her belongings in it, and brought it to the studio.
After she arrived at the studio, Eunice exclaimed, âIsnât this a millionâdollar limited edition. purse?
Where did you get it? Is it a gift from Blake?â
âNo, itâs not. He didnât want it and threw it in the trash bin. So, I picked it up, Yasmin answered with
a grin.
Who wouldnât want such a beautiful purse? So, of course, Yasmin would use it.
âWhy did he throw it away?â Eunice asked.
Yasmin could not understand Blakeâs thoughts. âI donât know. Maybe he didnât like the sight of it.â
âHe doesnât like the sight of a purse?â Eunice wore a confused expression. âItâs a beautiful purse.
What did it do to offend him?â
âHeâs just a weirdo,â Yasmin remarked, her eyes filled with amusement.
After laughing, she suddenly froze. That was because she saw several figures standing outside the
office.
Blake was dressed in a black shirt and black pants. Beside him stood Giselle and Roxy. Yasminâs
cheeks turned red instantly.

âBlake, you heard that, didnât you? Yasmin has always thought youâre a weldo.â Rever commented.
Yasmin was somewhat stunned after hearing that. She had said that as a joke
In the next second, she looked at her assistant.
The assistant who brought Blake, Giselle, and Roxy in said, âMs. Starr, these two ladies tats they
know you. So, they want to order a customized gown.â
Erinnyes offered a gown customization service. However, as the brand was not famous enough,
very few clients came to look for them.
Yasmin stood up and explained, âSorry, I was just joking with Eunice earlier.â
After saying that, she glanced at Blake. Yet, it seemed like he was ignoring her. Blake Innket away,
his gaze intense.
Yasmin noticed his expression and figured he disliked her and couldnât be bothered with her
anymore.
That was fine. This was something Yasmin wanted, anyway.
âYasmin, I heard your studio offers gown customization service. Iâm hosting a birthday party at the
end of the month, so Iâd like to order a gown from you. Is two weeks enough time for you?â Giselle
asked with a smile.
Giselle wore a chiffon blouse paired with a tight skirt. Her long, curly hair complemented her look.
She appeared graceful and stunning.
Yasmin forced a smile before answering, âYes, itâs enough time.â
It was a rare occasion when a client personally came seeking their services. Thus she san wouldnât
turn Giselle away.
âPlease come with me to the display area.â
Yasmin then took them downstairs and headed to the display area.
The other three walked behind her, engaged in a conversation.
Giselle told Roxy, âRoxy, itâs not easy for Yasmin to set up this studio. If you have any friends, bring
them here to support her business.â
âBut I think thereâs nothing special about the clothes here,â Roxy replied disdainfully.
Giselle responded, âDonât say that. Itâs not easy to start her own business.â
âThey shouldnât start this if they donât have the capabilities,â Roxy snapped.
She continued, âThis is clearly just an ordinary studio. I really donât understand why you want to
come here to customize a gown, Giselle.
âItâs your birthday, after all. What if something goes wrong with the dress? Wonât you become a
laughingstock if you wear it?â
At that point, Eunice could not hold back anymore. She wanted to give Roxy a good scolding.
However, Yasmin grabbed Euniceâs hand, took the latter aside, and said, âEunice, donât argue with
them.â
Eunice snorted in response. âThose two are in cahoots. One is playing the good cop, and the other
is playing the bad cop.
âTheyâre belittling our studio on purpose. I canât stand this!â
On the contrary, Yasmin remained rational. She calmly answered, âEven if you donât like it, you still
have to put up with them.
âOne is the Ford familyâs daughter, while the other is Blakeâs future wife. We canât afford to offend
either of them.
âThe supplier has just sent some fabric over. Theyâre upstairs. You should go check them out.
Eunice had a fiery temper. If Yasmin did not send her away, it might result in a confrontation that
could lead to a legal dispute.
Despite Giselleâs friendly demeanor, she was a fox in sheepâs clothing.
After asking Eunice to step away, Yasmin entered the display area. The assistant attended to three
of them, offering each a glass of water.
Blake sat on the couch. Upon seeing Yasmin enter, he avoided eye contact and ignored her. It

was as if she was invisible.
âMs. Giselle, what kind of gown are you looking for?â Yasmin inquired while standing: âWe have
samples on the display platform for your reference.â
Behind Yasmin were dozens of evening gowns. Each dress was showcased on the glass platform,
creating a stunning sight.
