If Jing Wan were to know that this was actually all Li Hong Yuanâs plot, donât know what kind of expression she will have?
With that brain of Li Ru Yuâs, she simply wouldnât have thought of Chen Zheng Min. It was Li Hong Yuan whoâd let someone incite her, leading her to think of this move. As for Chen Zheng Min, in reality, after Li Ru Yu had schemed against him, heâd already noticed. If it really was just Li Ru Yu and those two little servant girls, it was still possible for him to escape. But with Li Hong Yuan interfering, no matter how capable he was, he would still be powerless.
Up until now, ones that have gone up against Li Hong Yuan, which one didnât suffer a loss? Including Jing Wan was all the same, even though Jing Wan was unaware herself.
âWan Wan, why donât you go back. This matter, grandmother will properly take care of.â
Jing Wan opened her mouth, but ultimately didnât say anything. Her grandmother probably also knew that it was her that had offended Li Ru Yu, thus incurring her wrath. This was her grandmother intending on having all the fault pushed onto Chen Zheng Minâs head, having the affect towards her reduced to a minimum. And for this, even if it might give rise to conflict between her and her own third brother, she all wonât hesitate. Since her grandmother was already willing to go this far, what reason did she still have to tear down her stage? Compared to Chen Zheng Min, that older cousin that sheâs only met a few times, her grandmother was someone that sheâs gotten along with for more than ten years, pampering her, and having her cupped in her palm and placed at the bottom of her heart. Who to lean towards, she simply didnât even need to think. Jing Wan silently apologized to Chen Zheng Min in her heart. In any case, aside from Li Ru Yuâs temper being a bit bad, he still obtained a delicate beauty in the end, not considering a loss.
âThis granddaughter will withdraw then.â Jing Wan bow to the others again, before finally withdrawing from the room.
âIâll go check on little sis.â Luo Jing Bo quickly followed out too.
And Zhang-shi, who because of seeing Jing Wan beating up someone, was somewhat out of it the whole time, finally returned to her senses a little, âThis daughter-in-law will also go see.â
Luo Old Madam waved her hand, and impatiently had her brushed off. This daughter-in-law wonât be of any use here anyways.
Thus, before Jing Wan was able to say a few words to her older brother, her old mother caught up again.
âWan Wan, are you alright?â
Jing Wan thought she was asking whether or not she was upset inside, but instead she grabbed her hand and examined it. Jing Wan somewhat didnât know whether to laugh or cry, âMother, Iâm fine. I originally even worried I scared you.â
âAt first, I did get scared, but no matter what, youâre still my daughter, I gave birth to you.â
Alright, although this mother of hers often times always made one both helpless and speechless, and was even frequently not in the right of mind, but her care and lenience towards her own children didnât need to be doubted. And the things that she occasionally said were still quite touching.
âItâs good that I didnât scare you, else it really would be this daughterâs fault.â
Zhang-shi looked to her own daughter, slightly at a loss, âWan Wan, donât be upset. Although you cancelled your engagement with Min boy, it must be that the heavens wanted to give you an even better marriage. Our daughter is this good, definitely worth having the best.â
Alright, Jing Wan actually thought that she wouldnât think of this point. However, the people by her side seems to have reached a consensus that she was the best, and that she was worth having the best. She actually rather wanted to ask, what exactly is the best?
After repeatedly ensuring her mother that she was really fine, and really didnât care, she finally managed to have her mother coaxed away. Donât say that she didnât like speaking with her mother, occasionally once or twice was still fine, but any more, she might as well just stay by herself.
Luo Jing Bo originally wanted to go too, but got seized by Jing Wan.
Seeing Jing Wanâs stance, Luo Jing Bo had a bad premonition. He gulped, âLittle sis, that uh, third brother isâ¦â¦â¦..â
âEn? What? Third brother is busy?â Jing Wan smilingly asked, and even flexed her wrist.
Luo Jing Bo instantly withered. That fierce spirit of his little sisâs in beating up someone, itâs best to not try out. Getting beat by his little sister, he couldnât even hit back, and not to mention would even lose face. But actually, these all didnât count as anything. Most importantly, he might even suffer even more beatings, from his grandfather and grandmother, and from his mother and father. Letting his little sister beat him, that definitely would be his fault. No matter how many times he got beat, it was all deservedly so. Moreover, his skin was rough and his flesh thick, wouldnât his little sisterâs hands get hurt from beating him? Just directly use the plank to beat him again.
Thatâs why, just look at Luo Jing Boâs high awareness. All the consequences and stakes, that was all analyzed adequately. More importantly, he himself didnât feel there was anything wrong with this either.
What did she want? Jing Wan just felt, after going through Chen Zheng Minâs matter, her older brother still needed to be educated more!
Dragging him once again to Elegant Haitang Residence, Jing Wan conducted another two hour long âdefending against schemes, defending against womenâ class.
Luo Jing Bo just felt, according to his little sisterâs explanation, all the women in the world, aside from oneâs closest kin, as long as itâs those that voluntarily approach you, not one is a good thing. When one sees, one needs to expel them in the most firm attitude. And if that still doesnât work, one needs to voluntarily and perceptively avoid. Even if, at the time, itâs a bit embarrassing, it doesnât matter. If he were to get schemed against, and have to bring them home, he he heâ¦â¦â¦â¦.
Luo Jing Bo knew, his little sister never gave a good face to yiniangs. The ones at home, because were all her elders, and due to filial piety, it all wasnât good for her to say anything, but he wasnât the same. Especially after listening to his little sister preach for this long, he was very clear, after Yi Jia marries in, if he makes a yiniang appear, no, even just a tongfang, or even cause a short-lasting spring dream outside, and she finds out, she most likely will all beat him up. Actually, if itâs just beating him, that was still considered okay. But, she was further likely to, from then onwards, never acknowledge him ever again. He was very certain, this wasnât just his guess. Itâs not like he really was a block of wood. For his little sister to say this much to him, how would he still not know what exactly she was thinking.
Fortunately, Luo Jing Bo wasnât very interested in women. Guarding his own wife for a lifetime wasnât undoable either.
His little sister was already a big girl now, so some things werenât suitable for the time, but he still rubbed Jing Wanâs head, âLittle sis, donât worry, third brother will only have your sister-in-law this whole lifetime, and definitely wonât touch other women.â
âYou said this yourself, okay?â Jing Wan lifted her head to look at him, âIf you go against your promise, you will castrate yourself.â
Luo Jing Boâs entire body stiffened, âLittle sis, isnât this a little too harsh?â
âWhat, you already want to go back on your word now?â Jing Wan crossed her arms and glared.
If you dare nod, she will personally beat you up right away.
âNo, definitely not, third brother swears to keep oneâs promise, and definitely wonât get schemed against.â He naturally would do as he said he would. Actually, when he was little, he was already aware that his little sister also had a special characteristic to her, not easily making promises, nor hear other peopleâs promises. The former, she will abide by her word, and the latter, if you donât make a promise, and do something that upsets her, perhaps you can still be forgiven by her. But, if you promised, yet didnât uphold it, then even if you apologize in sincerity ten times, or a hundred times, donât even think about moving her heart again and obtain her forgiveness. She really was the most gentle, yet also the coldest!
Jing Wan clapped her hands, âThatâs more like it. Enough, now that this matter is over with, letâs get down to proper business.â
âEh, what else is there?â
âNow that the gongbi style has debuted, what, you still want to be surrounded by people everyday, personally going around to demonstrate for people?â
âThen, if not?â Luo Jing Bo didnât understand.
âThis is precisely the important business we need to do next, come over and help.â Jing Wan handed him a newly bound booklet, âFirst at the template.â
Luo Jing Bo flipped through it, âLittle sister, this is wanting to directly publish books? The written portion can be printed, but what about the accompanying drawing? Thereâs no way for drawings to be printed.â
âThatâs why we canât make too many. From when I started teaching you, Iâve already been preparing, using simple things as example. For instance, a bird, a flower, a small piece of rock, and having the steps separately drawn out one by one, and having the specifics of the technique written next to the drawing, simple and clear. Thereâs also examples in the back of the one in your hand. You can have a look.â
Luo Jing Bo flipped to the back. Sure enough, just as his little sister said, and also all the problems that might be encountered, sheâd all attentively written out in detail, and moreover, added explanations. Furthermore, every few pages, there was a completed drawing, completed by following the steps in this book. As long as one had a bit of drawing foundation, then in the end, the most basic things, no matter what, they would all master, and the rest would just depend on a personâs natural talent and effort.
âLittle sis, as expected, youâre the best, thinking of everything. Youâve greatly helped third brother.â
âYouâre my older brother, if I donât help you, who would I help. Because the accompanying drawing is simple, itâs also quick to draw. And the ones I found time to draw have already more or less reached enough drawings for five hundred copies of the booklet. As for the completed drawing, I originally was thinking of letting you finish all of them, but after careful consideration, the amount is too high. In the beginning, I was planning on making a thousand copies, even if every booklet would only have three completed drawings, it would still be three thousand drawings. And in reality, three was indeed too little. How long would that take to draw? Thus, I cut the amount in half into five hundred. Then, I had all your completed drawings all organized out, and imitated your drawing style. During this period, Iâve finished quite a few. I reckon, with every book having five drawings, thereâs probably about fifty to sixty volumes in quantity.â
T/N: To be honest I do like Zhang-shi, even though she can be questionable sometimes, and not just because she shares my last name, but she feels like such a breath of fresh air from the usual dead mothers in cnovels.
