-can you just cooperate with me, ankle?-
Lili's POV
I looked at them blankly and uninterested before walking past them.
Girls, this is what happens when you forget your fuckboy repellent. Moral of the story don't ever forget your fuckboy repellent; courtesy of me, Ava.
I ship Samantyle but why leave me with these dipshits?
I finally see them up front a little and as much as I hate to be the thirdwheeler, I hate being in the middle of boys with hormones problems even more.
"Hey, lovebirds!" I say slipping myself in between them. "What are ya guys up to?"
"Oh-uh, just talking." Kyle clears his throat. "How about you?"
I roll my eyes. "Ugh, dealing with boys with mommy issues." (p.s no offence to those with actual mommy issues)
They look at me weirdly.
"Oh look, it's a party." Sam says, sarcastically.
I smirk.
"Let's crash it."

Ryder's PoV
"Hey, Ryder." Heather caresses my arm, purring.
Is she secretly a cat or something?
"I missed you, baby." She pouts.
I roll my eyes.
Well, I really need a distraction anyways.
I kiss her harshly, without any emotion whatsoever.
She moans as I slip my arm around her waist.
This doesn't feel right.
What's wrong with me?!
I push her away and walk away.
I don't really care about my fuck-buddies.
I made my way upstairs and found a room which is surprisingly sex-less.
But I saw her sitting on the edge of the balcony with a bottle of whiskey in her hand.
She really has a thing for sitting at the edge of high places.
I went to her side and looked at the view.
She looks beautiful.
She was staring at the stars and I know she knew I was standing there but she didn't seem to care.
"Someone once told me, whenever you have the urge to look at the stars, your dead loved ones are either thinking of you, watching over you or right next to you." She says, softly. "Honestly, at first, I found that creepy. But, then he died. And ever since," She sighs, "it's all I feel like doing every night."
He? Who died again?
"I think whoever told you that is cool and creepy at the same time." I say, not being able to come up with something to say.
She looks at me blankly, then she smiles slightly.
"He was funny, hot, cool, stupid. He is my ex-boyfriend. He is my first love." She looks up again. "He's also dead."
I felt angry. And this odd feeling.
Am I not funny, hot or cool enough? Huh? I'll show you.
"I'm sorry for your lost. What happened?" I ask and immediately regret asking that. "I mean if you feel like telling."
"They killed him." She clenched her fist and looks at her legs which are dangling over the balcony.
"Who?" I ask.
She looks at me with a raised eyebrow.
"You don't remember?" She asks and I shake my head. "The cliff, Crushed Skulls."
Okay, now I remember.
I choked on my own saliva and she looks at me like I just told her I stole her cereals as fuel for my bike.
"You know them, don't you?" She narrows her eyes at me.
I recover from my coughing fit and look at her and nod.
"Who are they?" She asks.
"People you don't want to be involved with." I say strictly.
I know those animals and they're vicious and cruel. They come in second place as US strongest gang. We're in first.
She glares at me. "I'm already involved with them. There's nothing I can do but kill them."
I look at her like she's crazy.
"I'm kidding." She rolls her eyes.
"Don't do anything stupid with them. They're dangerous." I say.
"I know." She says blankly. "Do you happen to know a gang called, Howlerrs?"
I froze for a second but cover it up.
"No." I lie. "Why?"
She shrugs.
"Someone told me I could get some information from them." She says.
I nod.
She took a large swig again.
"About earlier..." She trails off.
"Let's not talk about it." I say.
"I just wanted to...umm...what's that word..." She trails off, again.
"Apologise?" I smirk.
"Yeah, that..." She bites her lip and I try as hard as possible not to smash my lips on hers. "Look, I'm really horrible at doing that so I hope you get the memo."
I chuckle lightly.
"Don't worry about it." I say. "You were right. What we were doing was wrong." I say and walk out the room.
Now, I need air without dear Shortcake near me.

Lili's PoV
He walks out leaving me alone with my thoughts.
Why is it so hard to let go of him?
Why can't I just move on?
"He's dead! He's fucking dead!" I throw the empty bottle of whiskey on the floor as it breaks into a pieces.
"There's nothing I can do about it, 'cause he's dead!" I drop to the floor, tears streaming down my face.
I didn't care about the mascara running down my cheeks.
"I'm useless. It's useless."
"I need you. I fucking need you, Caleb! Why the fuck did you leave me?! What did I do to this world that makes it hate me so much that they kill the person that helped me through everything?!"
I cry harder.
"It's not fair..." I slur.
I wipe my tears and stumble downstairs.
I find my way to the kitchen and grab a bottle of vodka before taking a swig and stumbling out of the house.
I stumble on my feet as I walk on the dark street, its only light from the dim lampposts.
I take a swig of vodka and wince at the burning sensation in my throat.
"This is disgusting." I look at the bottle disgusted.
"Hmmmmmmmhmmmmlalalalala..." I hum a song I once sang with Caleb.
I want to move on.
Can I move on?
Can I continue my life without him?
I stumble on my feet and tripped over my own feet, making me twist my ankle and break my heels.
"Oww." I sit on the sidewalk, massaging my ankle.
Am I supposed to do that?
I sigh and pour some vodka on my ankle, hoping to get rid of the pain.
Guess what? It didn't work.
I groan and lay on the semi-dirty sidewalk, and stare at the sky.
"Are you thinking about me?" I ask.
"Are you watching over me?"
"If yes, then tell me, can I move on from you?" I shut my eyes.
After a few seconds, I hear a car stopping beside me and see bright headlights.
Oh shit, stranger danger!
I tried getting up but fell back down when my ankle hurt.
"Can you just cooperate with me, ankle?" I scold my ankle.
The car door opens and I squint my eyes to see the person clearly.
"Shortcake?" A familiar voice says.
"Giraffie!" I beam and throw my hands up in the air.
He walks closer and crouches down to my level. Well, kinda. He's too tall.
"What happened?" He asks.
I think really hard.
What happened again?
"I forgot. But my ankle hurts." I say and his gaze averts from me to my ankle, to the vodka and to me again.
He sighs and carries me bridal style.
I yelp and giggle.
"But my vodka!" I look at it all alone on the sidewalk.
It looks so lonely.
"That's enough for tonight." He says sternly.
I pout and huff. "Fine."
He puts me in the passenger seat and jog to the driver seat.
He helps me put on the seatbelt and I just stare at him.
He's so adorable. He's like a little doggy.
"Why are you being so nice to me?" I ask, curiously.
He's usually frowning or acting cold.
"I'm not. Do you expect me to leave a girl all alone in the streets with a twisted ankle just waiting to be raped?" He says, not looking at me.
"Yeah, I'm sure that's what being nice is." I say.
He sighs. "Just shut up and sleep."
Bipolar much?
I make weird humming sounds and soon let the darkness engulf me and ignored the sudden weight and warmth across my shoulders.
