The ride home from the hospital was eerily quiet. Ellie sat in the backseat of the car, staring out the window, his mind swirling with conflicting emotions. He couldn't shake the feeling of heaviness in his chest, both physical and emotional. His body was sore, but that discomfort was nothing compared to the whirlwind in his mind. Lizzie sat beside him, occasionally glancing over, unsure of what to say. Vivian was at the wheel, her eyes fixed on the road, a slight smile on her face. Ellie could feel the tension between them—everything had changed.

As they pulled up to the house, Ellie felt a lump in his throat. Home didn't feel like home anymore. It felt like everything was unfamiliar, even though the house hadn't changed.

"Ellie, sweetheart, let's get you settled," Vivian said in her too-sweet tone.

Ellie didn't reply, just opened the car door and stepped out, feeling a strange shift in his hips as he moved. That was new—everything felt new. His clothes, which used to fit loosely, now clung to his curvier frame. Even the simple act of walking felt different.

Lizzie caught up to him as they entered the house, giving him a reassuring nudge. "You okay?"

Ellie shook his head slightly. "No, not really. But what can I do?"

Lizzie sighed. "You can take it one step at a time. We'll get through this."

The first few days were a blur of awkward moments and strange sensations. Ellie's body was adjusting to the flood of hormones now coursing through him, making him feel things he wasn't prepared for. His chest felt fuller, heavier, and every time he moved, he was reminded of the change. His skin felt more sensitive, the air brushing against him differently, and even his emotions seemed heightened. He found himself getting irritated or upset over small things, only to feel confused and embarrassed afterward.

One afternoon, Ellie stood in front of the mirror in his room, staring at his reflection. His once-flat chest was now noticeably fuller, his waist slightly narrower, and his hips wider. His long hair, which had grown over the past few months, framed his face in a way that made him look... feminine. He swallowed hard, trying to recognize the person staring back at him.

"Ellie?" Lizzie's voice called from the hallway.

He didn't respond, still fixated on the mirror.

Lizzie walked in, catching sight of him standing there, lost in thought. She paused, then said softly, "It's a lot, huh?"

Ellie blinked, snapping out of his trance. "Yeah. A lot more than I expected."

Lizzie walked up beside him, both of them staring at the reflection. "How are you feeling... with all of it?"

Ellie sighed, running a hand through his long hair. "I don't even know how to explain it. Everything feels... wrong. My body feels like it's not mine anymore."

Lizzie nodded. "The hormones are kicking in faster than I thought they would. You're, um... changing quickly."

Ellie's gaze dropped to his chest, his breath catching. "Yeah, I noticed." His voice cracked, softer than before, more feminine than it had been even a week ago. "I thought I had more time."

"Vivian made sure the hormones were strong," Lizzie said, bitterness creeping into her voice. "She wanted this to happen quickly."

Ellie's hands balled into fists. "I didn't ask for this. None of it."

Lizzie put a hand on his shoulder. "I know. And I hate her for doing this to you. But we're in this together, okay? We'll figure it out."

Ellie looked at her, tears welling up in his eyes. "I just... I don't know how to be me anymore. This—" he gestured to his body—"this isn't me."

Lizzie pulled him into a hug. "You're still you, Ellie. No matter what she's done, you're still the person you've always been. Your body might change, but who you are won't."

Ellie let out a shaky breath, hugging her back. "I don't know if I believe that anymore."

The next few weeks were a rollercoaster of new experiences. The hormones made Ellie's emotions unpredictable—one moment he'd feel fine, the next he'd be overwhelmed with sadness or anger. Lizzie was there to help him through it, but even she struggled to keep up with the rapid changes.

One evening, after a particularly emotional day, Ellie was lying on the couch when he felt a strange cramp in his lower abdomen. He winced, sitting up slowly.

Lizzie, who was sitting nearby, noticed. "You okay?"

Ellie rubbed his stomach, confused. "I don't know. It's like... a cramp or something."

Lizzie's face fell slightly, realization dawning. "Oh."

Ellie glanced at her, raising an eyebrow. "What?"

Lizzie hesitated. "I think... I think you might be getting your first period."

Ellie's eyes widened in horror. "What?! No. That's... that's not possible."

Lizzie gave him a sympathetic look. "Remember what I told you after the surgery? You've got everything now. That includes a uterus."

Ellie felt his stomach drop. "You're joking, right?"

Lizzie shook her head. "I wish I were. But... this is part of it now. You've got the hormones, the... parts. This was bound to happen."

Ellie's face paled. "Oh my God. This is... I can't..."

Lizzie sighed, standing up and grabbing a small bag from her room. She returned and handed it to him. "Here. I bought these just in case. I didn't want to freak you out earlier, but... I think you'll need them now."

Ellie opened the bag, finding a pack of pads inside. His hands shook slightly as he looked at them. "I... I don't even know how to..."

Lizzie sat beside him, her tone gentle. "I'll help you, okay? It's gonna be weird at first, but you'll get the hang of it."

Ellie looked at her, his eyes wide with fear and confusion. "Lizzie, I don't know if I can do this."

Lizzie put an arm around him. "You can. You've been through so much already, and you're still standing. This... this is just another thing we'll get through together."

Ellie took a deep breath, trying to steady himself. "I never imagined this would be my life."

Lizzie gave him a sad smile. "Neither did I. But you're not alone in this. We'll figure it out."

As the evening wore on, Ellie's cramps worsened, but with Lizzie's guidance, he managed to get through his first period. It was surreal—an experience he never thought he'd have—but it was also a reminder that his life would never be the same again.

And as the night deepened, Ellie lay in bed, staring at the ceiling, trying to make sense of his new reality. He had lost so much of what he thought made him who he was, but maybe—just maybe—there was still a chance to find himself again, even in the midst of all this change.
