* Keenan's P.O.V *

We arrived to the house and I swear it felt like everything was moving in slow motion. The police cars pulled up and before Skylar could even park the car I jumped out but I was being stopped by the police officers , they wouldn't let me go in no matter how hard I tried to fight them.

The girls came up behind me and were saying things to the police, that's when I heard a gunshot go off.

Everything went silent "where is she!" I yelled. The paramedics showed up .. two of them.

They brought the gurneys inside of the house and we still were waiting.

The neighborhood we were in started getting more crowded with different people worried about what was happening in their backyards not having any idea that my girlfriend was here being maybe tortured by people.

A few minutes later , the police brought out Nate in handcuffs. He was looking straight ahead with a dumb look on his face. That's when me and him made eye contact and he just smirked at me.

I went for him but two police officers had to hold me back. The police shoved him in the car and slammed the door in his face.

I turned around to check on the girls and they were all crying and hugging each other.

Next a paramedic came out with someone on the gurney but it wasn't Tiara , it was another man that none of us knew .. so we just ignored his presence.

Not even a few seconds later another gurney came out and it was a woman on it.

"That's her" I told them. I went up to her and she was just laying there. Not crying , not moving, not doing anything "Tiara we're here babe" I told her.

I grabbed onto her hand and she slightly grabbed back but she looked like she was in so much pain.

The girls came to surround her. They told her how much they loved her and that they weren't going anywhere.

"We have to get her to the hospital or she's going to bleed out" the paramedics told us.

"I'm coming with you" I told them "are you family?" They asked me "yes" I told them.

I am family. Even though they knew I was technically lying they still let me get in the ambulance with her.

I got in and sat down next to her. "I'm so sorry Ti, I should've paid more attention. This wasn't suppose to happen" I started crying and she was just looking at me.

I saw a tear slide down her face and I wiped it "I love you , please stay with me" I cried into her hand.

* Yolanda's P.O.V *

We caught a 6:30 flight to dc and it didn't take us any time to get there. My husband, Tay'Vian , and Nikita were all rushing out of the airport and called an Uber to take us to the hospital that Keenan told us they were at in dc.

It was almost a 40 minute drive away.

I couldn't stop shaking , my daughter has been going through so much this year I don't know if she'll be able to handle this and that's what scares me the most. What if she just gives up?

I felt Tay'Vian grab my hand and she held it as tears began to fall down her face "I don't wanna lose her mommy" she cried.

I have to stay strong for her "and you won't. One thing your sister is , is a fighter. She won't leave you I promise" I kissed her forehead and continued to comfort her.

Please don't leave us Tiara , don't take her just yet God.

* Korey's P.O.V *

Anthony , Bre and I caught a 6:30 flight to dc , which will be landing shortly. Now I know me and Ti have been through some things and I basically broke her.

But the love I have for her will forever be here , and nothing or no one can change that. I'm happy that Bre is someone who understands that and isn't the jealous type. There's nothing for her to be jealous of.

"It'll be okay babe" Bre grabbed my hand in hers trying to calm me down "I didn't even realize I was shaking" I told her.

"You're scared , she'll be okay" she told me and kissed my cheek.

* Tiara's P.O.V *

I felt myself going back and forth from conscious to unconscious. I swear I just wanted to let go but as I stared into Keenan's eyes I knew I had to fight.

I was just getting so sleepy "no no Ti , we're almost there please stay with me" I heard Keenan say.

Then suddenly the ambulance stop and seconds later I was being pulled out of the truck and rushed into the hospital.

"Tiara!" I heard my mothers voice. I tried to call out to her but I literally couldn't.

That's when everything went black again.

* Keenan's P.O.V *

We finally arrived to the hospital and Tiara was going in and out. You can tell she was trying to fight though.

Skylar pulled up at the same time as us and so did her parents , and my mom.

"Tiara!" Her mother called out. "That's my daughter let me in with her" she said to the doctors that were holding her back.

"We can't let you in while she's in surgery ma'am please! I understand you're scared but please sit down" the doctor told her.

Tiara's father grabbed her and went to go sit her down. We were all in the waiting room just sitting there nervously.

"Do you guys know what happened?" My mother asked us.

We all shook our head "all we know is that her and Nate were going to get supplies for their finals project" Kendall told them.

"Who's Nate?" Her father asked "he's Keenan's new roommate, he always had it out for Tiara though like she would always catch him staring at her , smiling at her , sometimes he would say things to her too but at first she didn't think much of it , none of us did , we just saw him as another guy trying to get with her" Skylar explained.

"And he doesn't look creepy at all so whatever he did to her none of us would have ever suspected it" Lani added.

"Hi we're here to see Tiara Gold Carter" I heard a male voice say.

It was Korey , Anthony and Bre. Bre looks like she's about to burst at any moment.

"You'll have to wait with the rest of her family over there" the nurse told him and pointed to us.

"I know I'm the last person everyone wants to see right now but as soon as I" Tiara's mom cut him off with a hug. "I'm happy to see you here" she told him. "Is she okay?" He asked her "we don't know yet" she told him truthfully.

That's when the doctor came back and she didn't look like she was about to tell us any good news.

"I'm looking for the parents of Tiara Carter?" She asked out loud "That's us" her father said.

"Would you come with me please so I can explain to you what happened to her" Tiara's mom looked back at all of us and we just nodded at her.

"Okay" she said and the doctor took them to a more private room.

* Yolanda's P.O.V *

The doctor took us to a more private room and sat us down.

"What I'm about to tell you will probably be very hard for you guys to hear but you need to know" she started.

Oh no ... "Tiara was sexually abused .. as in raped. But it didn't happen once, when we asked her how many times did it occur , she told us about 5 times within the two to three hours she was trapped with those two young men. We also did blood samples and found the dna of the two males, meaning she was sexually abused by both of them. Her vaginal area is bruised pretty badly , she had some internal bleeding that's how forced the intercourse was good thing her friends found her in time or she would have died in that house. She has bruising in her stomach area , and finger prints around her neck , showing us that she was choked, almost choked to death, there is bruising on her thighs along with bite marks and"

"Please please stop" I asked her. I couldn't stop crying. The tears just kept falling, I couldn't breathe. My husband took me into his arms and he was also crying.

"I'm so sorry to be telling you guys like this. I also hate when these things happen, I try my hardest to say everything at once and kinda fast so I won't have to really take it all in myself. I'm so sorry" the doctor said to us.

She then handed us a box of tissues and took one herself.

"You May continue" I told her as I got myself together.

She took a deep breath "and she also has bite marks on her thighs, her pelvic bone is also bruised. She will have a tough time being able to walk for some time so please keep her on bed rest. Now what I really need to prepare you for is the psychological part of all of this." She started.

"Okay" me and my husband said taking in everything she was telling us.

"Tiara will not be the same. When we were in there trying to get answers out of her, she was just sitting there so emotionless .. she barely had a voice letting us also know that she was screaming and a lot .. umm it's gonna take her a minute to become herself again. I'm not so sure if she ever will be herself again , but she's gonna need support more than ever. Even if she tries to push everyone away do not let her because right now at this moment and so forth she's gonna need all the love she can get. She will be very distant and you may not hear her voice for a while but she'll still be able to comprehend everything , just won't be so responsive" the doctor explained to us.

I lost my baby .. "we lost her Vince ..." I cried some more in his arms.

"Thank you doctor, can you send all her friends in here please so we can tell them everything?" He asked her.

"Yes of course, Tiara is still recovering from her surgery, I'll let you guys know when you can see her" she told us sympathetically and then left out.

A few minutes later all her friends had gathered into the room.

I was able to get myself together to break the news to them.

"How is she?" Keenan asked

*Keenan's P.O.V*

Tay'Vian was having a panic attack, Kendall, Skylar , Lani and Cassie were all balling their eyes out while holding onto each other.

Korey was in the corner with his hands over his face.

I still hadn't taken in everything she just told us.

"Keenan?" my mom said I looked at her my eyes filled with tears "I-..I don't know what to say , I don't know how to react. I'm so angry, I couldn't save her mom... Ti-... Ti could've died" my mom brought me into a hug and I just cried in her arms.

"When can we see her?" Anthony asked "the doctors will let us know" her father told us.

Anthony left out of the room.

Miss Yolanda was trying her hardest to calm Tay'Vian down.

None of us couldn't believe what we just heard.

"I want him dead" I said to my mother "I know baby" she said. "He will get what's coming for him okay! Don't you try to do anything stupid please Keenan , just please stay by Tiara's side. She needs you now please" she told me.

I just nodded my head "I will" I told her.

Skylar walked over to me and just hugged me.

"We lost her" she whimpered.

"I'm- I'm gonna come back to Detroit and help you guys take care of her is that okay?" Skylar asked.

"Of course Skylar you know there's more than enough room" miss Yolanda told her.

"Yeah I'm gonna try my hardest to visit as much as I can. I work in the summer but before I start I will be right there by her side" Kendall said.

"I'll visit as much as I can in July, I promise I'll be there" Lani said.

Cassie was still crying "I've been such a bïtch to her lately but almost losing her has made me realize how quickly life can just be taken like that , and I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to be mean to her" Cassie cried to us.

The girls hugged her again. "I hope it's okay if I can come and visit?" She asked "of course it is Cassie" mister Vince said.

"I know I'm the last person she probably wants to see but please let me be there for her" Korey finally spoke.

"It'll take some time , but you can definitely try to ease your way in" her mom spoke to him.

That's when miss Yolanda came over to me "are you ready to go see her?" She asked me.

I took a deep inhale ... then exhale

"I'm ready" I told her.

She grabbed my hand and walked with me towards Tiara's room. Her father and sister following behind us.

We walked in and she was lying there sleeping.

She doesn't even look like herself.

Her cheek was bruised and I could see the hand marks around her neck. It got me heated on the inside.

Her parents were just looking at her, knowing that mentally they lost their daughter.

"Like .. I'm so grateful that she's here with us still but I just know deep down she doesn't want to be" her mom cried.

"She's holding on for us" her dad added.

I was getting teary eyed again.

"What are we gonna do?" Tay'Vian asked.

"We're going to be there for her. We're going to love her. We're going to hold her and we're going to never let her go" I told her.

I promise to never let you go again Tiara ...

This has been my favorite book to have ever written because it was just so real to me. Some things were based off my life and some things were just based off of real things that do happen within friendships & relationships. I just wanted to make this book as relatable as I could I feel like I accomplished that.

I can't wait to get book two started. I decided that it will be called "BestSelf" mainly because it will be focused on Tiara becoming her best self again. Of course there will be the drama we live forrrr but Tiara's mental is definitely the main priority!!!
