Chapter Forty-one: You're so annoying

"Love me, Manon," I say in a deep British voice. "Love me,"

"Uh," Cole looks up, "Do you know how wrong that sounds?"

"Ew," Kai giggles and I smile, keeping my eyes closed.

"I already do love you, idiot," she says to me, "Now, are you going to do this homework or not," she asks and I groan.

"But it's Thursday! Ain't nobody wants to do homework on a Thursday!" I whine and open my eyes.

I mean, some people do, but I don't.

"Matthews, do you want to go to college and get a job?" Nova speaks up. I nod, "Then do your homework." he orders and I sigh heavily.

"Take a lemon, and ram it, up your butt!" I yell and snatch up a pencil. He shakes his head and Kai laughs.

"A lemon would hurt!" Kai exclaims and I snort.

"That's the point Chip,"

"Have you even finished your essay?" Manon asks while throwing her legs over mine.

"Yep!" I say proudly and move onto the next math problem.

Look at how smart I am.

"You did that wrong," Nova says.

"What was it about?" Kai asks and pushes up his glasses.

"Well Chip, it was about smiling! Something Nova should do," I say and grin at Nova. He rolls his eyes and looks at my math paper.

"You did that wrong," Nova says again and I erase what I supposedly did wrong.

"What did you write about?" I ask him while redoing the problem.

"My friends... and about how great they are..." he says with a blush.

"Awe!" Manon cooes and pulls him into a hug. "You're so sweet!"

"You did that wrong too," Nova mutters again and I glare at him. "What? I'm helping you out!"

"How about you do my homework, and I'll watch Mean Girls," I say and shove the paper in his face. He grumbles something underneath his breath but takes the paper anyways.

"I'm gonna go see if the ham is finished," I say to them and hop up from my spot on the floor. "Do you guys want some? Just kidding, it's all for me,"

I ran out of my room before Manon could hit me with my pillow. "Gee, rude much?" I mutter and skip into the kitchen. August sits in her highchair, eating those Cheerio things again.

"Hello honey, are you done with your homework?" mom asks while pulling out the ham to check it.

"Totally," I say while my mouth waters. "Now, give me some ham for the fam."

"No, you didn't. Go do your homework first," she says and gives me a pointed look. I sigh heavily and turn around, walking back upstairs.

"I thought you loved me!" I yell at my mom.

"Do you?" I hear Manon ask as I creep up on the door. I raise my brows and slowly tiptoe up to my door.

Eavesdropping is my secret weapon... and I'm a pro at doing it.

I mean, how do you think I found out about Rose's and Nova's break up.

(A/N: 👀)

"W-What?" Nova stutters and I see his whole face turn red, including his neck.

That is so not fair. Manon can easily make him blush with a question, and I can't even get him to smile.

"Do you, ya know, love her?" she asks and leans on her elbows, "You said you did when you 'insulted' her mom."

I gulp and my heart beats faster.

Oh my... cow titties.

Kai giggles and nudges Nova, "You do don't you!"

He puts his head in his hands and looks up with a small smile, "I guess I do..."

Guess? What are we? A game show?!

Technically, you're a figment of my imagination...

Shut yo ass up.

I try fighting the urge to squeal, and also try fight the urge to blush.

"When did you realize it?" Manon asks.

"Yeah and why didn't you tell me? I'm your best friend, I should've known first." Co e says with a teasing smile.

He nervously rubs his neck, "A-A long t-time ago..."

Wait what.

"What do you mean?" Kai asks this time and Nova smiles awkwardly.

"I-I was head over heels her since we we're younger... and I guess when me and Rose were together... I forgot about how I felt towards her..."

Manon starts yelling cusswords before launching herself on Cole, "I called it! I fucking called it!"

Nova's eyes snap to mine and I freeze, "F-Frost!" he exclaims and I widen my eyes.

I have been exposed. I take back saying I was good at eavesdropping. I take it all back.

Everyone snaps their eyes to me, and I stand there awkwardly.

Oops...

I puff up my cheeks and wave, "Hi guys! I don't think the ham isn't finished..."

Nova bolts up and speeds over to me, closing the door behind him.

"Did you... did you hear everything?" he asks and grabs my hands. I nod and look away.

"I don't know what to say," I softly laugh. "I've never had this happen..."

I look back at him and see him staring at me. "D-Do you... you know... love me too?"

I inhale and stare into his eyes.

Well do you?

I... wait we're the same person!

Don't avoid my question.

"I... I'm scared." I admit and shake my head lightly, "The last time I said I love you to a guy was to my dad, and that was before he left..."

"It's alright. I understand... take your time okay?" he says softly and pulls me into a hug. My heart pounds against my chest, and I breathe heavily.

Pound the alarm! Bababa!

"Trust me. I'm happy that you do..." I say and squeeze him. "Like, my heart might literally explode." he chuckles and lifts me up, spinning around.

"Why are you so light?" he asks with a laugh, and puts me down.

"Because all of the food I eat, goes to my big brain." I say with a grin.

"You mean the one you don't have?"

"Yep!"

The morning rolled around too quickly for my liking.

My alarm continues blaring the song Loser Like Me.

I force my eyes open and see Manon passed out on the floor, snoring. Her leg is tossed over my wastebasket and she lies on my backpack.

That looks so uncomfortable. I can't even look without getting uncomfortable, it looks that uncomfortable.

"Manon," I croak and sit up, shutting off my alarm, "Manon!"

She springs upwards, "Fight me! Huh? What..."

She looks at me and rubs her eyes, "I fell asleep."

"Obviously," I say and laugh. I then roll out of bed and notice Nova, Kai, and Cole gone. "Where did the boys go?"

"They left after you passed out," she explains with a yawn. "You literally passed out, it was so hilarious."

I get out of bed and stretch. I let out an animalistic roar, "Idiot!"

She snickers and hops up, stretching as well. "Are you gonna get ready here?" I ask and she nods.

I walk into my bathroom and do my normal rountine. I showered, got out and brushed my teeth, and brushed my hair.

I walk out with the towel wrapped around me, "I didn't save you hot water." I say to Manon before laughing evilly.

She rolls her eyes, "I like it cold. It matches my soul."

I laugh and walk over to my closet, as she walks to my bathroom. I pull out some black leggings and my white 'Ms. Jokester' t-shirt.

I quickly got dressed, grabbed mine and Manon's bag, and trotted downstairs. "Hello mother," I greet mom and gently pat August's head while walking by.

"Hello honey," she greets back and hands me my water bottle.

"Why thank you sir." I say and cackle like the evil witch I am. Manon trots down wearing my black dotted romper, and my slides.

"Good morning Denisse," Manon waves at mom while walking over to me. Mom smiles at her and hands us each an apple.

"Go before your late!" she exclaims and shoves us out of the house.

"Rude," I mutter underneath my breath while handing giving Manon her bag.

"I'm so tired," she says in her Spongebob voice.

"Me too," I reply in my Patrick voice while digging out my car keys. Once I found them, we got in and drove to school.

"L, O, S, E , R! I CAN ONLY BE WHO I ARE!" Manon and I sing along while pulling into the school lot.

I spot Nova and Cole by Ollie. Nova looks around until his eyes land on us. A smile forms on his face and I wiggle my brows.

We got out of the car and slowly made our way over to them.

"You know we're going to have to submit our college applications soon right..." Manon says in a sad tone.

"Yeah, but not for a few months. Why, what's up?" I ask and she smiles sadly.

"You know how we both want to go to Yale? Well... what if one of us doesn't get accepted?" she glances at me.

I pull her in for a hug, "We promised we'd go to the same college. And so, I'm going to keep that promise. Okay? No matter what. We're stuck together with some really strong glue."

She nods and puts her arm around me, "Really strong glue?"

"Really strong glue." I confirm with a nod and we approach the boys. Manon slides next to Cole, and Nova pulls me into him.

(A/N: *snickers*)

"Morning sleepy head," he says to me and kisses my forehead. I smile and snuggle close to him. As I lie my head on his chest, Kai comes bounding up to us with Iris.

"Hiya Frost!" he smiles and hugs both me, and Nova.

"Hi Frost," Iris manages to say before blowing her nose.

I stick my lip out, "You're still sick?" she nods and blows her nose again. "Get better soon, so I can tease you and Chip okay?"

She laughs faintly, "Okay."

"Let's get to class before we're late," Manon says and I start bolting inside.

Late my ass. I'd rather watch my sandwich fall than watch Mr. Earl mark me tardy.

I run into math, panting unattractively. "Hello... Mr. Earl! I'm not late am I?"

He raises a brow, "You never cease to amuse me sometimes,"

I give him a toothy smile and plop down in my seat.

Let the games, begin!

I bite into my hamburger, and purposely moan out loud. Nova visibly gulps and I burst out laughing.

"Save that for the bedroom," Harry says with a sly smirk. Manon laughs along with me and Cole chuckles.

"Oh my God, remember when Principle Isa pulled you two out?" Manon says, "Frost looked scared out of her mind, and Nova looked pissed."

"Well I thought he told on me!" I exclaim and Kai laughs.

"I guess it was fate, huh," Cole states, "It is what brought you two together."

"I guess it was," I say with a smile.

Nova dumps his fries on my tray while reading a book.

Oh wow. I'm just realizing that we were forced together during lunch, and now we are together. I remember when he took my burger...

I guess you could say food is the key to my heart.

Ha.

So funny.

I peer over his shoulder and see he's reading The Fault In Our Stars.

I should probably read that. Mom has read it, Manon has read it, and now Nova.

Speaking of Nova, I would've never thought he reads these kind of books. I thought they're too sappy for people like him.

"You actually read?" I ask him and his lips twitch upwards. "I never knew you could read."

"Of course I can read." he replies.

"Neat," I say and start eating my fries. "So what does nincompoop mean?"

"It means moron, idiot." he says and leans against me. "It's something you can be at some moments."

I gasp dramatically, "How dare you insult thy,"

"I thought you liked it," he says and fully turns to me.

"You wanna know what else I like?" I whisper and lean closer.

"What?" he whispers back and leans even closer.

Oh lordt.

I move to where our lips brush against each other, "I like... annoying you..."

I pull away, grinning.

"You're so annoying." he sighs with a  roll of his eyes.

"I know,"

Hehe... t-that ends You're so Annoying. Thank you all for sticking with this trash, and showing that it actually is worthy trash. I will be making a sequel cuz y'all guilt tripped the fuck out of me-

I actually hate this book. I hate it with a passion, but then i love it with a passion soooo.....
