Chapter 1287: Experience

Ayan naturally didn't mind, after all, Grace's words were all for Camille's

sake.

Since it was for Camille's benefit, he had no displeasure whatsoever.

He simply nodded slightly in response to Horace's words.

Seeing this, Grace pursued further, asking, "Mr. Simpson, what exactly

does Mr. Tillery with his daughter mean? He didn't plan to give up even

after hearing what you said, did he?"

Grace looked at Ayan with a worried expression. If her intentions

weren't known, it would probably lead to misunderstandings.

Ayan responded calmly, "Whether they give up or not is their business.

What I need to do is refuse. If it really doesn't work out, then we'll have

to let your family, Horace, take over this part of the business."

The latter half of Ayan's sentence was obviously a joke.

Grace couldn't tell and instinctively looked at Horace, her eyes filled

with a mix of astonishment and worry. She said, "If you cooperate with

Mr. Tillery, will he become interested in you?"

Horace, seeing Grace's worried expression, couldn't help but find it

somewhat amusing. He tightened his grip on Grace's hand and said in

a low voice, "No, Mr. Simpson is just joking with you. Mr. Tillery would

never give up on me if Mr. Simpson shows interest.”

With Horace's words, the focus of the conversation shifted back to

Ayan. He spoke lightly, "Mr. Simpson, how do you plan to handle this

matter? In my opinion, it's highly likely that we won't be able to avoid it."

Avoiding Mr. Tillery's attention was impossible. Unless we withdraw

from the international market, it would result in significant losses for the

Simpson Group and have a huge impact on its future development.

Ayan had brought her here for this reason, as he had only recently

entered the foreign market. Although it had become more stable,

compared to the Tillery Group, which had been established here for a

long time, there were still some concerns.

So this was Ayan's worry. He couldn't completely give up on the

international development.

After Horace's words, Ayan fell silent for a few seconds, then calmly

spoke, "So I need your help.”

"Tell me!"

"Create trouble and public opinion for Mr. Tillery. Even if his wife knows

about his illegitimate child, we should at least make them take action.

Only then will Mr. Tillery lose interest in finding a son-in-law for his

daughter.”

Horace nodded approvingly, "Hmm, it's indeed a good idea.”

“You help me investigate Mr. Tillery, I want the most thorough and

comprehensive information.”

"Sure, but you have to promise me one thing."

Ayan raised his gaze and met Horace's eyes. Grace, on the other

hand, spoke first in a low voice, "What do you want him to promise?

Cami is my sister, you shouldn't..."

Grace was worried that Horace would ask for too much. Her series of

reactions made Horace somewhat helpless. He tilted his head and

looked at her, saying, “You should be on my side. We are in the same

boat now. When I ask Mr. Simpson for benefits, it's also for our future

life. Why are you still supporting Camille?"

"Horace!!" Grace's voice was stern.

Horace immediately smiled, "Alright, I won't tease you anymore. I know

I'm not as important to you as Camille. Hmph!"

He seemed a bit displeased.

Ayan looked at their interaction and shifted his gaze away, seemingly

indifferent to their presence.

In the next moment, Horace's voice sounded, "Don't worry, Mr.

Simpson, I won't really ask you to do anything. I just want to let you

know that you owe me a meal. I'll take care of this matter for you. I

know you don't want to owe anyone, so let's have a good meal."

Ayan responded lightly, "Just a meal? Think it through."

"Just a meal, I wouldn't dare ask for anything else. Haven't you seen

that your family also has a spy here with me!"

He glanced at the undercover agent Grace beside him, and their eyes

met. Grace's gaze became somewhat embarrassed and lowered.

Ayan smiled faintly and said, "Alright then, let's have a meal. You can

choose whatever you want to eat since you're more familiar with this

place."

Although they had just had a meal with Mr. Tillery's family, they hardly

ate anything. Ayan barely touched his chopsticks. It was all Western

food, which he didn't like. Plus, he didn't have an appetite eating with

someone he didn't like.

Horace briefly considered it and decided to go to a seaside hotel that

was over an hour's drive away. At this hotel, all the seafood could be

personally caught from the sea and cooked right away. The ingredients

were fresh, and it provided a unique experience. It was also a good

way to relax.

Once the decision was made, they set off directly.

In addition to the four of them, Horace also invited his two cousins.

Since Grace came abroad, his two cousins had been his main

companions, so he brought them along for a stroll.

They arrived at the seaside hotel, where the hotel manager personally

led them to a yacht to go to the seafood fishing spot.

Ayan and Horace watched as the others happily looked at the various

fresh seafood being caught, but they didn't join in. They wanted to have

a private conversation.

Horace took the initiative and asked, "Are you really planning to use Mr.

Tillery's personal life to resolve this matter?"

"What else?" Ayan glanced at him sideways, his voice slightly hoarse.

"Mr. Tillery is cunning in his actions. He wants to involve me in

domestic cooperation projects and get a share from the Simpson

Group. If I persist in obstructing his plans, he will probably use some

means to achieve his goals."

"Yes, you're right. He's a ruthless person who stops at nothing to

achieve his goals. This is no secret in this circle," Horace agreed. "But

what you need to do this time is not only to trouble him. It seems a bit

insufficient. You should also find out about his daughter, Daisy, for me. I

need to know what kind of person she is. If she is as career-oriented as

Mr. Tillery, then this matter will be much simpler.”

Ayan's expression remained heavy because he had to resolve this

matter within two or three days. He couldn't afford to drag the issue

back to the country, and he certainly didn't want Mr. Tillery and Daisy to

follow suit. That would only make things more troublesome.

Horace nodded slightly, indicating that he understood. He would

arrange for someone to investigate Mr. Tillery and the situation here,

and they should have the results by tomorrow morning at the latest.

The two of them fell into a brief silence, their gaze fixed on the situation

with the fishing group. It seemed that they had a good catch, as

everyone's faces were filled with joyful smiles. Even Grace, who was

usually reserved, had an obvious smile on her face and clapped her

hands.

Observing this scene, Ayan spoke calmly, “It seems she has changed a

lot abroad. I believe she will soon be able to rely on the pressure from

the Armstrong family."

“I'm worried about that too because some things have become

ingrained. I'm afraid she has changed for the better now, but when she

returns to Hance City and faces the Armstrong family again, will she be

able to remain calm? Will she be able to avoid being manipulated by

the Armstrong family?"
