Chapter 580 Remarriage
Ayan didn't tell Camille about his business trip, and naturally Camille
wouldn't have taken the initiative to ask him, so they had no contact for
two days in a row.
Camille was free for about half a month after submitting the second
phase of the project, and since Ayan was no longer in Hance City, she
spent the day with Timmy and the afternoon at the restaurant with
Sienna.
So peaceful and a bit idle for two days, although everything was very
smooth, she felt a little bored.
Sienna saw through it and asked, "Is it because Ayan is away on
business and no one is pestering you so you're not used to it?"
Camille looked over at Sienna, her face slightly frozen in shock.
She wrinkled her eyebrows and said indifferently, âYou're overthinking
it. I'm just feeling a bit of a headache because I'll be working with
Armstrong Corp on the interior design soon."
"Really?"
"What else do you think it is?"
"Who knows? Anyway, you wouldn't admit it even if I was right. After all,
you're such a smooth talker." Sienna snorts sarcastically.
Camille did not say anything, just looked at her indifferently, but at the
bottom of her heart, something was stirred up and could not be calmed
for a long time.
Camille did not say anything for a long time. Sienna reached out and
waved her hand in front of her eyes: "Annoyed by what I said?"
Camille held her hand to take it down, her delicate face expressionless.
She said, "Not annoyed, just feel a little too concerned. This is the first
time for us to live in this world. Why do you have to condemn yourself
every time?"
Sienna froze.
She laughed, "That doesn't quite match you, like it shouldn't come out
of your mouth.â
"Why shouldn't 1?"
"Because since you married Ayan all you can see in you is gentleness
and modesty.â Sienna smiled softly as she said, "Although you have
divorced, I think you still haven't come out of this marriage completely,
or else this marriage turned you into a different person, otherwise the
Camille was not like this before."
The smile on her lips deepened a bit, and her voice was a bit softer as
she said, "But what you just said made me see the old Camille."
Before she got married, Camille was straightforward in what she said
and did. She would never be afraid to do anything. Her career was in
full swing. She knew a lot and got along well with her friends. Because
of her good personality, many people were willing to make friends with
her.
But after she married Ayan, she cut off all her social circle. The only
man she was close to was Preston. Preston disappeared after the
accident, and then she was just hanging out with Sienna. Such
loneliness had made her a different person than she used to be.
Sienna found out about it a year ago. But since she loved Ayan very
much, Sienna could not influence her decision as a friend. Later, she
took care of Ayan, and for Ayan would give up everything, but what she
got in return was what it was now.
Although she had been divorced for so long, and even Timmy was over
half a year old, Sienna had always thought that the two might get back
together. Until recently, she felt Camille was becoming more and more
unhappy because of Ayan's interruptions, and when it came to the
subject, she couldn't help but ask what was on her mind.
Sienna said, "Would you blame me for saying that just now?"
âNo, those closely involved cannot see as clearly as those outside. And
even if you told me, I wouldn't necessarily listen.â She said without
emotion.
Even if she listened to her, she would not give up, otherwise she would
not give up everything and marry him.
The two talked about something serious, and Sienna didn't want
Camille in a bad mood, so she changed the subject and talked about
something else.
After dinner, Camille drove alone from the restaurant back to Maple
Leaves Mansion.
Because of what she said to Sienna this afternoon, Camille kept it on
her mind all the time.
In fact, it's not that she didn't think Sienna was right, she just didn't
want to admit it to herself before.
She lightly pursed her lips, her eyes emotionless, and made up her
mind. Some things, since there were signs, needed to be stopped from
further loss.
As if she had made great determination, she took a deep breath before
adjusting her breathing.
At ten o'clock in the evening, Camille took a shower and lay down.
The quiet in the room was shattered by the sudden ringing of a cell
phone, and seeing the ID on the screen, a frown crowled between her
eyebrows.
It was Ayan.
Calling at this hour for something?
She pressed the answer button, "Hello?"
The sound of the man's breathing on the other end of the phone was
very clear in the ear, and the hoarse voice came with it, "Are you still
up?"
"Well, is something wrong?"
She asked emotionlessly.
He said in a gentle voice, "Did I disturb your rest?" Camille didn't say
anything, so he smiled lightly, "Sorry, I just got back to Hance City and
came straight to Maple Leaves Mansion to look for you, thought you
wouldn't be sleeping so early, so I thought I'd come and see you."
Camille's eyes paused slightly and she just held her breath without any
response.
Ayan could clearly feel her excessive coldness, but he still had no
retreat, just said: "YOu are sleepy? Not even willing to talk to me? You
haven't reached out to me once in two days. Camille, you are so cruel
to me."
His voice was low, gloomy and tense, with helplessness and
aggression.
Camille remained silent, her breathing even deliberately controlled.
Because of her lack of response, Ayan also followed into silence.
When the voice came again, it was Camille.
She said, "Are you downstairs?"
"Well, I am."
âI'm going down now."
Ayan frowned and said in a low voice, "It's cool outside, no need to
come down, huh?"
âI have something to say to you." There was no emotion in her voice.
He didn't stop her again. "Okay, I'll wait for you. Put on more clothes."
Although it was spring, with the low temperature at night in Hance City,
it could still be a bit chilly.
Camille got up from bed and put on a jacket before going downstairs
with her phone.
She stood quietly in the elevator and wondered if she was overthinking
things. The elevator was extraordinarily fast today, so fast that it
seemed to go down to the first floor in the blink of an eye.
She stepped out of the elevator and walked with slow steps towards the
outside.
She hadn't even stepped out of the main gate before she saw the tall
man standing there pensively, wearing a long black coat, just standing
motionless and waiting for her.
She walked over to stand in front of him, and his eyes moved slightly,
his cold face revealing gentleness as he asked in a low voice, "What do
you want to talk to me about?"
Camille raised her eyes to his and looked at his handsome face. His
hair was a bit messy because he came straight from the airport, but it
didn't affect his elegance at all.
She pursed her lips slightly and asked in a light voice, "Are you doing
so much lately to get remarried?"
Camille said the word of remarriage without emotion.
He couldn't see any ripples in her eyes, as if she was just asking if he
had had dinner.
Her expression made Ayan's eyes shrink and the expression on his
face was slightly stiff. He looked at her with his deep eys for a moment,
and only in the next second did he outline a faint smile and ask in a low
voice: "Yes, I want to remarry, so are you going to give me an answer
now?"
