2 | Fear of rejection

Sunrays tickled the eyelashes of a doe-eyed boy who was sleeping. It was morning already, but Jungkook like any other person was too lazy to get up.

He softly whined when he heard the alarm clock ringing. He lazily woke up and adjusted his eyes to the sunlight.

"Ugh I don't want to go to school" the black-haired boy mumbled in his half-sleepy state.

He took his phone and decided to surf twitter as he woke early today.

That's when a tweet caught his eye,

Jungkook was trying to control his laugh but eventually burst into a fit of giggles after seeing that tweet and teasing the elder.

"Oh my god, this photo is really funny. I can use this to tease him for the rest of my life"

Jungkook giggled at his own words. But then he realised something.

"He has turned twenty-one, which means he will find his soulmate today"Jungkook bit his lip at the realization.

Soulmate

A person who moon goddess fated for Taehyung.

Yes, he was sad. He was sad that his enemy and his one and only crush was getting a soulmate today.

Yes, you heard it right. Kim Taehyung was his crush. Even though others thought that they both hated each other, there was a small part in Jungkook where he has an extreme attraction to the brown-eyed boy.

"Soulmates means they both will get the same mark, right?"Jungkook got nervous at that thought.

He slowly went to the mirror and rolled both his sleeves. Then he checked his collarbones.No there was none. He hoped to find any marks on his body.

After realising that he had no hope of being Taehyung's soulmate, he felt sad, really sad.

"No, why couldn't I be his soulmate"The doe-eyed boy pouted at his words.

"But even if I was his soulmate, would he accept me? Of course, why wouldn't he? He always tells happily about his soulmate to Jiminie hyung" He sadly smiled at the thought.

"Whatever I should get ready, first class is of Mr Lee's. He wouldn't spare anyone for being late even for a second" He sighed and went to get ready.

Jungkook was passing by the corridor of Taehyung's classroom, that's when he heard something.

"Tae, you will be knowing about your soulmate today!" The red-haired cute guy said excitedly.

Jungkook stopped in his tracks when heard a familiar voice and name.

"Yeah, you are right. I am really excited" Taehyung sheepishly smiled and replied to his best friend.

"But can I ask you something?" Jimin asked softly to his best friend.

Taehyung raised an eyebrow and nodded his head curiously.

"What will you do if your soulmate turned out to be Jungkook?"

Taehyung huffed angrily."That fucker can't be my soulmate, because we are so much different and above all that I don't think moon goddess will grant me him as my soulmate, it must be someone who is on good terms with me" Taehyung said and got annoyed at the thought of the other boy.

"But what will-"

"Jimin he will not be a soulmate, even if he is, I would surely reject him on the spot. I am sure he also wouldn't want me as his soulmate" Taehyung said angrily and crossed his arms.

Jungkook who was hearing this couldn't believe what he heard now.Few tears already was filled in his doe-eyes.He bit his lips and ran from there to the bathroom to remove the words from his head he heard just now from his crush.

He found an empty cabin and ran inside by closing it harshly. He cried quietly for a few minutes and then frowned when he got a slight pain in his right arm.

He rolled up the sleeves of his shirt to find what was wrong.

And when he saw what was on his arm, his eyes widened.

There was a small drawing flower that looked like a tattoo. He bit his lips nervously when he realised that it was indeed a soulmate mark.

He was worried that it might be a mark that would be the same as Taehyung. He didn't want it to be the same as Taehyung,he didn't want to be soulmate. This morning he was happy at the thought of being Taehyung's soulmate.

But now he didn't want to be, because he was scared, he was scared of the rejection.

He was lost in thoughts and suddenly heard a familiar sound outside the cabin.

"Chim, oh my god. Look at my soulmate mark. It's really cute, right?" Taehyung excitedly said to the other boy.

"Wow, when did it appear?"Jimin asked curiously eyeing the tattoo.

"Now, I was washing my hand when I felt a slight pain on my right arm"

Right arm?? That means.... Jungkook widened his eyes.

He slowly opened the door and looked at the boys through the small slit.

Jungkook gulped when he saw the mark, yes it was the same mark.

He closed the door quietly and sighed heavily.

He leaned against the door and a few tears filled his precious eyes by thinking about the future events that gonna happen.
