Chapter 2

I am currently making my way to Morgan's Ltd. It's my first day and I'm so excited and nervous at the same time.

I made my way to the cafe when I got there I walked in and saw one of my good friend Emma behind the counter.

She was too busy attending to costumers. I waited patiently for her to attend to the Asian woman in front of me. When she was done she walked away.

I was greeted by a big smile on Emma's face." Hey, I haven't seen you in a while" she said "yeah, I have been busy looking for a job.

I found one yesterday and today is my first day of work " I said " That's good were, do you work". "Morgan's Ltd" I replied back " Really" She said surprisingly. "You're so lucky.

The owner of the company is hot like I mean hot. I see his pictures all over the magazines too bad he has a girlfriend".

"Yeah he isn't bad looking but I don't really see him that way" replied untruthfully " You never have time to date. When was the last time you had a boyfriend" she said.

"Um three years ago" I replied" You really need to loosen up more and have more fun. How about we go clubbing this weekend". She suggested.

" I don't think that is a good idea". " I'm not taking no for an answer, you're coming" she said sternly "Fine " I took my phone out and looked at the time.

I had twenty minutes left." Okay I have to run before I'm late". I said, "Okay bye" She said back I grabbed my coffee and made my way to work.

I walked in through the massive doors. I met the same receptionist from yesterday. I said hello to her and walked past her.

Headed straight for the elevators. I pressed the 30th floor. The doors opened and I walked out.

I went straight to the desk were Susan was. " Hello Susan " I cheerfully said " Hello, here is your schedule for today " she relied handing me my schedule. I looked over it and nodded to show her I understand.

" I have to make a call, but I'll be showing you around in five minutes " she said with a big smile on her face.

I walked over to the seats behind me. I took out my phone and looked at my emails.

After like about three minutes I got bored, so I looked around. I looked over at Susan and saw she was still on the phone.

She was wearing a beautiful light blue top with white flower on it she also had dark blue jeans on.

She was pretty with black hair and green eyes. She looked about my age or maybe a bit older.

She put the phone down and walked up to me" Are you ready" she said. I jumped to my feet with a smile and followed her to the elevator.

We were currently in the elevator making our way back up. The tour was absolutely amazing we sent two hours looking around the building and getting to know the place.

We meet a lot of people during the tour. Some were nice and others needed to improve on their people skills.

Susan told me there was about 500 people working here. She also told me they expanded the company to 50 different countries over 85years.

The business started with Mr. Morgan's grandfather Paul Morgan and was later passed on to Mr. Morgan 5years ago by Mr. Morgan's father.

I snapped out of my thoughts and looked over to my side to see Susan strolling through her phone.

I was about to say something when the door opened.

Susan walked out and I walked swiftly behind her. We walked up to a medium sided brown door.

Susan took a key out of her pocket and unlocked the door. She walked in and so did I.

The room was nice and spacious. There was a desk in the middle with a comfy looking white chair. I looked to my right and saw a large see through glass.

I saw Mr. Morgan on his desk with papers scattered all over the desk. He so busy, with paperwork he didn't notice us.

" Do you like it " I heard Susan ask me. "Yeah it's lovely and spacious " " I'm glad you like it " Susan replied with a friendly smile.

"Okay we have to get some paperwork done to get you fully ready for this job" she Susan, walking out and heading over to her desk.

We were in the middle of doing paperwork when the phone rang. Susan picked it up after the second ring.

"Hello Morgan's Ltd "

" ..... "

" Yes she's over here "

" ..... "

" Yeah I'll send her over to you know sir"

She's says bye to the person on the phone. She put the phone down and turned around to me.

"Mr. Morgan wants you in his office"

I looked at her nervously but got up anyway.

I walked over to his door and open it.

As I walked in, I saw Mr. Morgan sitting on his desk with a stressed outlook on his face.

I cleared my throat he looked up and his expression softened a little.

"Hello, sir how may I help you"

"I want you to sort out this paperwork over here " he pointed to two stacks of papers on the floor.

"I want them done before lunch time. I got started on the papers and he went back to the work on his desk with the same expression on his face.

It took me a good three hours to finish the paperwork and put them in the filing cabinet.

"Is there anything else you would like me to do for you sir" I asked looking over at him

He looked up and said" no you can have your break now"

"Thanks sir"

He went back to the work on his desk.

I walked out of his room and walked over to Susan's desk.

"Are you ready for lunch" she looked up at me.

"Yeah I just finished sorting out Mr. Morgan papers and I am starving so can we go now to get something to eat" I said walking to the elevator.

"Can we have lunch in the break room today because I want you to meet some of our co-workers"

Yeah sure" I said walking into the elevator and pressing a button to lead us to the 20th floor because that's where the break room is.

I walked in and saw at least ten people was already inside chatting away happily with each other not even noticing that Susan and I just walked in. I walked straight to the coffee machine to make myself a cup of coffee.

"Can you pour me a cup as well" I heard Susan say from behind me. I looked behind me and saw her happily chatting with a woman who looked like she was in her fifties.

I turned my head back and grabbed a cup and poured some coffee and added a bit of milk and sugar.

I grabbed the cups and walked over to were Susan was sitting still talk to the woman. I handed the cup of coffee to her " Here you go I put in a little bit of milk and two teaspoons of sugar; I hope it's okay"

"Thanks, it tastes nice" she said after taking a sip of it. I sat beside her on the black and white couch.

I looked around and saw that more people came in here and are busy helping themselves with the biscuits and sandwiches that were being offered.

" Oh, I forgot to introduce you two, Ava this if Margaret she works on the 25 floor and Margaret this is Ava, she is the bosses new PA" said a happy looking Susan.

"It's nice to meet you" exclaimed Margaret with a smile on her face" I hope you like it here so far"

" I think it's good so far, I can't wait to settle down and get to know everyone here" I replied back to her with a smile of my own.

The three of us talked for a little while and I also talked to a few other people that were in the lunchroom.

We all went back to work after an hour of lunch. I walked into my office to do more paperwork and booked meetings for tomorrow for Mr. Morgan.

I looked to my right expecting to see my boss but instead I saw an empty seat with papers still scattered on the desk.

I looked at my own desk trying to make myself busy by finishing the stacks of paper that were on my desk.
