Evan picked up the wet towel on the table and wiped his hands slowly. “Axel is withdrawn

because Daniella abused him.”

“Daniella abused Axel?” Draco was shocked. “How could she abuse Axel when she is his mother?”

Evan glanced at the anxious Draco and said, “She hit and scolded him.”

Draco slammed the table and snarled, “I told you from the start that this woman was unworthy to

be my daughter–in–law!”

Evan appeared visibly agitated. “So, what is your purpose for asking me to come tonight?”

Draco said, “Is your past mistress still alive?”

“How is that any of your business? Evan asked.

“Don’t be with a murderer and ruin our family’s reputation! You abandoned Otis project and came

rushing back to Angelbay because of her, right?” Draco asked sternly.

Evan was ready to speak, but the noise of approaching steps interrupted him. He glanced up and saw

a middle–aged man Evan’s expression turned serious in an instant.

The middle–aged man glanced briefly at Evan before respectfully addressing Draco, Tm home,

Father.”

Draco’s face brightened immediately. “You’re awake, Casey. Join us quickly.”

Casey Jordan was Draco’s eldest and most cherished son. He was 19 years old and Evan’s half-

sibling. He nodded respectfully and sat beside Draco.

Evan’s gaze toward Casey was icy.

Casey met Evan’s gaze with an equally icy look. “No need for that kind of stare.”

“And how should I be looking at you, then?” Evan retorted in a venomous tone.

He would totally shoot Casey to death if Draco was not sitting there!

His mother’s descent into madness was largely thanks to Casey. It was Draco who had sent her to

a distant mental institution, where she remained out of touch for two decades.

Draco looked at Evan in displeasure. “He’s your elder brother! What’s with this attitude?”

“Your mom was the one who seduced Casey, and she got what was coming! Don’t even bring this

up!” Draco cut off Evan, yelling in anger. “Casey’s coming back soon to run the company with you

Evan’s face tensed, his demeanor growing frosty. “He’s not fit for MK.”

Evan saw through Draco’s plan. Draco used him to lift MK to the global top, and he would then

hand the company to his favorite son, leaving Evan powerless.
