Alex sat up and noticed Paige wrapping herself in a blanket while their clothes were scattered on the

floor. He suddenly realized he had slept with Paige the previous night.

“I’m talking to you!” Paige shouted when Alex didn’t respond.

Rubbing his buttocks, Alex stood up. Paige’s eyes widened in shock as she noticed something

“You…” Paige glared at Alex. “Are you an exhibitionist? Have you no sense of shame?”

Alex’s expression was calm. He picked up his clothes and dressed slowly while saying, “Why are

you still feigning your innocence after you’ve used it?”

Paige gnashed her teeth in rage. “Do you think that everyone is like you? It’s my first time!”

Paige got out of bed swiftly and dressed before running out of the room.

Alex sighed when he heard the door slam. He would never intentionally sleep with a virgin, so

how could that have happened accidentally?

After putting on his shirt, he flicked on the light. Immediately, his eyes caught a few dried

bloodstains on the bed sheet.

His body froze, and he stared at the door in disbelief.

“She’s a virgin… for real?

When Evan left the company in the afternoon, he immediately spotted Alex’s parked car and saw Alex

sitting lost in thought through the partially open window.

Evan walked up to the car, opened the door, and got in, but even this didn’t snap Alex out of his

state.

Concerned, Evan furrowed his brow and called out, “Alex?”

Alex turned his head slowly at the sound of Evan’s voice.

With trembling lips, he hoarsely whispered, “Evan, your employee is…”

Evan was taken aback, his frown deepening. “Did you sleep with Paige?”

Alex swallowed his saliva. “Yes.”

Evan understood Alex quite well. He was someone who had many partners, yet he had a principle

against being with virgins.

Knowing that Paige was Caroline’s closest friend, Evan realized that if Caroline found out about this

situation, he might be pulled into it.

With this in mind, he opened the door and warned before stepping out of the car, “Be responsible and

He shut the door firmly, putting some distance between himself and Alex.

Alex sat in the car, dumbfounded.

Caroline was eating in a restaurant near TYC under Scott’s close monitor.

Caroline said, “You don’t have to travel so tar just to supervise me. I’ll eat once I’m done working.

Scott smiled. “You may deceive others but not me. You used to say that when you were in Ylesir. Then,

what happened?”

She had gotten a stomach condition.

Caroline relented. “Alright, I’ll eat.”

Scott poured Caroline a glass of water, feeling pleased.

Caroline said, “Scott, Evan came to the celebratory gathering last night.”

Scott’s grip tightened, but he said gently, “Noted, but you don’t have to report this to me.”

Caroline shook her head. “Since I’ve already made my choice, I shouldn’t hide anything from you. On

the other hand, he seemed uncertain whether Ty and Lia are his children‘

Scott’s gaze dimmed as he placed the glass of water before Caroline. “Do you want him to know?”

“I won’t tell, but I won’t stop him from investigating this, either.” Caroline said, “After all, the children are

safe with him currently*

Scott nodded.
