Caroline was stunned. “What do you mean? Do you think I’m deceiving you?”

“Or else?” Evan asked

Caroline struggled free from Evan’s grip abruptly. She appeared deeply disappointed and said coldly.

“Evan! Remember what you said today! You will regret your words and actions today one

day!”

Upon saying that, she got into the car and drove to the low–rise building.

Paige looked at her solemn–looking employer in contempt as she carried the crying Liora. “Mr. Jordan,

you’ve broken Carol’s heart this time and enlightened me.”

She turned around and watched Caroline’s car closely.

Alex heaved a sigh, approached, and said, “Evan, it didn’t seem like she was acting earlier.

Evan’s cold expression fixated on the small figure suspended in the air. He tutted and remarked, “I

don’t think the things I’ve verified would be fake.”

Caroline left the car key on the table inside the low–rise building. She then transferred two million

dollars to Wayne’s account.

After finishing these tasks, Caroline hurriedly called Wayne.

“I received the money. Clear out from here. I’m leaving first!” Wayne instructed

Concerned, Caroline asked, “And my son?”

“Save him once I’m gone,” Wayne replied, his tone annoyed.

Caroline couldn’t bring herself to say more. She turned, following Wayne’s instructions, and left

the building.

Later, he emerged from the building, ready to leave. He opened the car door.
