Axel clenched his phone nervously because of Evan’s sharp gaze. “What kind of questions?”

“It’s about Ty and Lia.” Caroline wondered why Axel was a bit slow today.

His voice was low, and he did not talk to her excitedly like he always did

Axel’s heart skipped a beat. “No, Mommy.”

Caroline said, “That’s great. This is our secret. I believe that you can help me keep it.”

After that, Evan raised his phone before Axel again.

Axel’s face changed when he saw the words on it. He asked with a shaky voice, “Mom… Mommy,

when are you going to tell Daddy about Ty and Lia’s backgrounds…”

Caroline frowned anxiously, thinking. There is something wrong with Axel’s emotions. Besides, he

asked more questions than their previous calls.

Caroline soon thought of Evan

It was very likely that he was beside Axel

Caroline tried to keep calm and answered, “Axel, Ty and Lia are your siblings even if you guys

don’t share the same father.”

Axel abruptly heaved a sigh of relief. Luckily, Caroline discerned something wrong.

Axel said, “Understood, Mommy.”

Caroline said, “Dear, I’m hanging up.”

“Okay, Mommy, Good night.”

After setting aside the phone, Axel prepared for Evan’s interrogation.

However, to his surprise, Evan didn’t ask Axel anything. He also didn’t scold Axel for secretly staying in

contact with Caroline.

Axel discreetly observed Evan and noticed that Evan’s expression seemed stormier than earlier.

Three days later, Daniella was awakened by a call at Xander Residence.

She angrily answered the call. “Who’s calling so early?”

The caller replied, “Ms. Love, I’ve got some leads on what you asked.”

The photo left her in shock. The woman in it felt extremely familiar. She was sure she had seen

her somewhere before.
