Caroline looked at Kenny helplessly. “It looks like Alisa doesn’t want to talk to me.”

“Hey, I thought I was mistaken. Isn’t this Mistress Shenton who has gone missing for five years?”

Paige was interrupted by some sarcastic voices.

The three of them looked over and saw two women scrutinizing Caroline in shock and disdain.

“Wanda, don’t say that about her. Maybe she isn’t her. She just looks like her.”

“Pift! No one looks so alike. She thinks she can cover up her vulgar past just by changing her

name.”

“She isn’t vulgar now. She’s the limelight of the hot topics these two days.”

“Nobody knows if she has slept with any rich man. She had gone missing for five years, but now she

woman’s hand.

Everyone looked up. Evan and Alex had approached them at some point.

The person who blocked that woman was Julian, Evan’s bodyguard.

That woman’s expression changed instantly when she saw Evan, so she withdrew her hand and

glared at Caroline “Mistress Shenton, you’re lucky!”

Evan narrowed his eyes so Julian got the message. He grabbed that woman’s hair and dragged her

out.

The woman’s scream made the surrounding guests turn around. But they soon averted their gazes

when they saw Evan.

After all, no one dared to comment on what Evan did.

Caroline looked at Evan. “Thanks.”

Evan’s face turned cold. “Don’t you always outspeak me? Why didn’t you say anything just now?”

Caroline chuckled. “Well, there are different types of trash.”
