Chapter 333 I’ll Take You Out of Here

Two gunshots echoed immediately after that.

Caroline screamed frightfully.

However, Evan kept a stern expression as he took hold of Caroline’s arms and guided her to sit on the

floor.

The surrounding guests started running away, shoving and pushing chairs. The chairs then knocked

against people.

Evan held Caroline tightly in his arms and spoke calmly. “Don’t be scared. I’ll get you out of here!”

Alex’s scream came from behind. “Evan! Watch your back!”

Evan immediately turned around and saw a thin man trying to stab them with a sharp knife. Thus, Evan

pulled Caroline up and quickly protected her behind him

The man with the knife slashed Evan’s arm.

Caroline widened her eyes and screamed, “Evan!”

The attacker shouted crazily, “Fuck! You guys must die! I want to kill all fucking capitalists like

you!”

Evan looked indifferent as he covered his arm and kicked the attacker’s chest before the latter

could slash him again.

Consequently, the attacker fell head first.

Evan’s bodyguards rushed to him and quickly subdued the violent man

Julian lowered his head guiltily. “Mr. Jordan, we came late!”

Evan spoke coldly. “Send him to the police station!”

Julian became doubtful. “Don’t we have to take him back with us to punish him?”

Evan replied icily, “I wasn’t his sole target. Just let the police deal with him.”

Julian answered, “Okay.”

Caroline immediately inspected Evan’s bleeding wound. She tried her best to keep calm, but her hands

were shaking-

Evan looked at her. “You don’t have to be scared.”

Caroline’s eyes soon turned scarlet. She failed to control her temper and roared, “Are you out of

Afterward, she averted her gaze, biting her lower lip and forcefully tearing his sleeves.

Then, she quickly ripped a piece of fabric from her dress and used it to bandage his wound and stop

the bleeding.

When Evan saw her concern, he smiled “I don’t want you to get hurt.”

Caroline’s hands tensed, and bitterness coursed through her.

Tears welled in her eyes, so she lowered her head and softly uttered, “I don’t want to hear you speak!”

Evan chuckled, gazing at her affectionately. “Alright, I’ll stay quiet.”

Paige was not far away from them. After calming down, she wanted to go to Caroline, but Alex.

stopped her.

She glared at him. “What are you doing? I want to see Carol!”

Alex nudged his chin in their direction. “You’d better not disturb them now.”

Paige smacked his hand away. “You’re really Mr. Jordan’s good buddy.”

Alex raised his brows and pulled her into his arms, consoling her by patting her back. “You’re

scared, aren’t you?”

She was scared and burst into tears when he asked her that.

“It’s so scar

scary… Pug… That gunshot was right beside me. I thought I was going to die.”

Twenty minutes later, Caroline and the others went to the hospital with Evan because of the

latter’s injury.

Julian came back fast and informed the culprit was merely trying to take revenge on society.

Everyone was at a loss for words and did not want to mention that frightening accident again

Evan’s wound was not long, but he needed five stitches.

After that, they walked out of the hospital.

Caroline said, “I’m going home.”

Evan did not stop her. He merely nodded and watched her leave.

Alex asked someone to give Paige a ride home while he stayed with Evan. He looked at Evan with

“Am I blind?” Evan refuted coldly.
